Denim Dedication With The Dressing Room! Team Hudson Jeans.

Sunday 31 March 2013

Recently we were invited by our friends at The Dressing Room to take part in their Denim Dedication month! As a self-confessed denimaholic, I was overjoyed when the girls asked me to style & review some Hudson Jeans for them.

LA-based Hudson Jeans is my favourite premium denim brand. Every pair of jeans I own from them fit really well and are super comfy. I was sent 4 pairs of jeans to style and I was allowed to keep my favourite pair! In today's post I'll be featuring 3 of the pairs I received.

Outfit 1

Hudson Jeans: Nico Mid Rise Skinny Jean in Pont (£215)
Shirt: Equipment
Clutch: Accessorize (comes without the embellishment)
Shoes: Rockport
Bracelets: From Fiji & Peru
Ring: Forever 21

The Nico style has a really lovely fit and since I already own some Nico jeans in Soft Teal, I knew these ones would fit like a glove. I find Hudson Jeans have just the right amount of stretch in them. Occasionally I find that jeans can either be too low or too tight on my tushie but Hudson always gives my booty enough room. There's nothing worse than a pair of jeans that flattens your junk! Pont is a nice dark denim colour which is perfect for wearing with brights.

Neon Yellow Accessorize Clutch

I chose to pair these jeans with my hot pink Equipment shirt (which I want in every colour), a one-off embellished clutch from Accessorize, some bracelets I picked up while travelling and these Rockport heels. I think this hot pink shirt and neon yellow clutch work really well with the dark denim.

Outfit 2

Hudson Jeans: Collin Signature Skinny Jean in Stockport Navy (£199) c/o The Dressing Room
Vest: All Saints
Leather Jacket: Hide Label
Hat: H&M
Necklaces: Blue Bayer NYC & crystal necklace from Argentina
Bracelets: Topshop, ChloBo & New Look
Sneakers: Matalan
Rings: Snake ring c/o WAY Bristol & other from Earth Bristol
Bag: Bracher Emden Laser Zip Clutch

These jeans are unbelievably comfy. The Collin's must be made from the softest denim because I'd definitely be able to fall asleep wearing these. Again they have a really nice fit and the gorgeous dark denim is perfect for wearing all year round. They'll keep me cool in the summer but most importantly I'll be 100% comfortable, they've tricked my body into thinking I'm wearing sweat pants! Since they're my favourite, I've decided to keep them. Eeep!

Bracher Emden Laser Zip Clutch

This type of outfit is what you'll find me wearing day in and day out. I love graphic tees and vests, especially slightly gothic ones with skulls on! I wear leather all year round and nothing works better with a pair of jeans than a leather jacket. These bracelets are my favourite to stack and my incredible lamb leather clutch is from Bracher Emden, a luxury British accessories label. I can't wait to use this bag in the summer.

Outfit 3

Jacket: c/o Glamorous
Vest: H&M
Nude pumps: New Look
Necklace: Topshop
Bracelet: c/o Jon Richard
Ring: Accessorize
Bag: Tamora Clutch by Rianna Phillips

Nico's again, this time in the delicious Wedge Wood. I have to admit I was torn between picking these and the Collin's above. This bright blue is perfect for spring/summer and I love how it looks with one of my favourite colours of the season, mint! I'm a huge fan of coloured denim and I like to make a statement. I think I'm going to save up for these ones because my heart broke a little when I had to send them back.

Rianna Phillips Tamora Clutch

I really wanted to keep this outfit bright and spring-like. This mint blazer works well with the jeans and I think a coral or pink blazer would look equally as good. My beautiful clutch is by Rianna Phillips who sells really cool digital print pieces.

My 4th and final outfit will be featured on the The Dressing Room's blog so be sure to keep an eye out! I'm wearing the boldest of all the SS13 styles along with one of my favourite vintage Wildfox tees.

I know from experience that The Dressing Room has incredible customer service so if you are thinking of taking the plunge and buying premium denim, you'll be in good hands. Make sure you choose Hudson! ;)

Which outfit is your favourite?

A Good Dress On Good Friday!

Saturday 30 March 2013

A good basic dress shape that flatters your figure is hard to find, but I think I've cracked it. Desire Clothing recently asked us if we wanted to pick a piece each, so we decided on the same dress but in different colours to see how we each style it up differently! The dress we both agreed was perfect for the job was the Jersey Dip Hem Lace Detail Dress - £15, which is available in black, charcoal (my choice), light grey (T's choice to be revealed soon) and cream! It has a pretty black lace back but I was more interested in the empire line dip hem style which I thought would belt up a treat, and I think I was right . . .

Outfit: Dress - c/o Desire Clothing, Belt - L.A.M.B, Top - H&M, Jacket - New Look, Necklace - Wildfox Couture, Tights - ASOS, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell, Satchel - Bertie, Rings - c/o WAY Bristol, Bracelet - c/o WAY Bristol, Watch - L.A.M.B.

UK fashion and style blog outfit post featuring Desire Clothing, cat tapestry Jeffrey Campbell Lita boots and ASOS tights.

This L.A.M.B. belt is from the Spring 2006 collection and a most prized possession. I used to collect L.A.M.B. with a passion, but as with most infatuations my interest waned in the actual clothing, but I still adore my luxe bags and pieces like this belt because they're just so darn cool!

L.A.M.B. belt in a UK style and fashion blog outfit post.

The ever faithful Bertie satchel and Jeffrey Campbell cat tapestry Lita's, plus jewellery from T's new fave store, WAY in Bristol, which I'm desperate to run around in some day! :)

Brown leather satchel with cat tapestry Lita Jeffrey Campbell boots in an UK style and fashion blog outfit post.

My half of our Wildfox broken heart necklace, T got WILD because she was born that way.

I'm super keen on these over the knee look tights but I'm going to have to get myself the Pretty Polly ones STAT because these are from ASOS and I'm not overly impressed with the quality, they lose their shape pretty quickly and I can't be dealing with Nora Batty moments - gahh!

Outfit post from UK style and fashion blog featuring Desire Clothing dress and ASOS tights.

I really love the length and empire line shape of the dress and the way the simple jersey material falls, I also think it slims me down - winner winner chicken dinner! It would also be really easy to change it up with a different belt. It would look just as cute with a stretchy neon belt, denim jacket and wedge trainers in the summer so now I think I need it in Tara's light grey version too, though I'm 92% certain she will feel the same about my charcoal one!

Desire Clothing has some really nice bits in right now, I'm really loving on the Black Peplum Blazer - £18 from the New In's, it would be a pretty awesome cover up for a night out.

Bristol Beauty Bloggers Benefit Event!

Friday 29 March 2013

Last night I was invited to a beauty blogger event held by the Benefit girls who work in Boots, Bristol. There were 10 of us in total and we were treated to nibbles, fizz and lots of info about some of Benefit's key products!

Fake Up by Benefit Cosmetics

The main product we were introduced to was Fake Up, Benefit's brand new hydrating concealer! Jade was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of this product so if you're interested you can read her review here. It was only released this morning but we were given a chance to play around with before it went on sale.

Sophie was the glamorous model for the evening.

Concealer is a must for someone like me, I have fair skin and suffer with dark circles under my eyes. I love the fact that this product is hydrating so wont dry out my skin! We were also introduced to It's Potent, an eye cream which may just change my life. It's supposed to fade dark circles & helps to smooth fine lines.

Check out our nibbles & cakes.

Another great product the girls schooled us on was the POREfessional (£23.50), a balm that minimises the appearance of pores. I've been meaning to try this product for a while now because I have pores the size of small craters.

We were split into three groups, given a lemon and told to draw a line around it. The girls then handed us some POREfessional which we had to apply to one side of the lemon.

Hannah from Midnight VioletsThe gorgeous Hannah from Midnight Violets.

The difference was considerably noticeable, so noticeable that I'm 100% adding this product to my WANT list. My pores might not be as large as this poor lemon's but they aren't far off. POREfessional is just what the lemon doctor ordered.

It's Potent Eye Cream by Benefit

Soon after we were allowed to try the products for ourselves, giving me the opportunity to use Fake Up (£18.50)! It felt really nice on my skin and provided good coverage. I'm hoping someone will buy this for me in June when I celebrate my second yearly birthday (haha).

After sampling the products it was quiz time! We were asked a bunch of Benefit related questions (it was a guess the product game) and because we were all winners, the girls gave us these cute samples to try:

It's Potent Sample

I'm so excited about using It's Potent (£23.50 for 14.2g). We were told it can take up to 5 days before you notice a difference so I'll report back with the results. I've never tried a Benefit foundation before so I'm also eager to test this little sample of Hello Flawless (£24.50 for 30ml).

It was then time for a scavenger hunt game aka find the Fake Up! Although I'm usually quite competitive, some of the girls were determined to win and as a result I left empty handed (booo!). Afterwards a few bloggers had their brows mapped (as a Brow Zing lover I didn't get involved) before we said our goodbyes and headed home.

It was a really fun night and I loved meeting the Benebabes and chatting to some of the other bloggers... Shout out to Hannah from Midnight Violets and the lovely Claire from Desperate Blogwife!

Have you tried any of these products?

Bristol Fashion Week S/S 2013!

Thursday 28 March 2013

Last Friday I was invited to Bristol Fashion Week at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway. I was extremely excited to check out the top trends for Spring/Summer 2013 and hang out with some of my favourite south west bloggers.

The plan was to get there really early in order to have a quick shop and meet up with some blogger pals before the show started. Unfortunately I had to rely on public transport and because of the crummy weather/a whole ton of roadworks, I ended up arriving 5 minutes before the show. Cue a quick dash through The Mall with just enough time to check-in and grab a glass of something bubbly before I took my seat and the show started.

Photo by: Bristol Fashion Week at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

The show was hosted by stylist Mark Heyes and celebrity hairdresser Andrew Barton who were also the hosts of the AW12 show I went to last September. They work really well together and have such an incredible chemistry. I also love that catwalk models don’t just strut their stuff, they dance! This makes it a much more interesting show to watch.

Photo by: Bristol Fashion Week at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

The first scene was bond-themed and all about one of the hottest trends (if not the most popular), Monochrome. Lots of bloggers in the audience were also sporting this trend and we were treated to a display of striped skirts and tops, dresses and one hunky male model in a Monochrome suit! I must admit that I prefer wearing colour so was more excited by some of the other trends shown such as Florals and Neons!

Photo by: Bristol Fashion Week at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

There were so many beautiful floral pieces from pretty summer dresses to shorts, trousers and jackets. One of my favourite items was the Ted Baker Wallpaper Flower Dress (£199) from John Lewis, which was perfectly paired with a butterfly umbrella (you'll have to take my word for it).

Photo by: Bristol Fashion Week at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

What fashion blogger isn’t obsessed with neons!? The models sported yummy neon jeans, dresses, skirts and the one item I need in my life, a show stopping neon maxi dress! After the show had finished I went on a hunt to try and find this incredible dress from John Lewis. I discovered it was the Gathered Neck Maxi Dress (£199) by Ted Baker. Unfortunately it’s a tad out of my price range so I’m adding it to my WANT list. If I owned this I would wear it every (sunny) day. Fact.

There was also a really cool after party scene with lots of glitzy dresses but my favourite evening dress was the Lexy Tapework Dress (£295) from Phase Eight. If you want to bring tears of joy to my eyes, buy me this dress. It’s so beautiful and looked incredible on the model who was lucky enough to wear it. If Robert Pattinson ever asks me to accompany him on the red carpet, know I’ll be wearing this.

The show finished with Gangnam Style. That’s right, the models, Mark Heyes and Andrew Barton only went and performed the infamous dance! It was fun and completely unexpected. Overall it was a fantastic show with lots of fashpiration. I now need to raise approximately £550 so I can buy all the pieces I really want. If you fancy donating to the cause, you know how to get in touch. ;)

If you want to witness the catwalk show for yourself, check out this short film below:

When the show had ended we all headed to get our goodie bags which gave me a chance to mingle with some blogger pals and meet some new faces!

I'm wearing: Erin Boucle jacket from Boohoo - Equipment shirt - Studded Dr. Martens satchel - Siwy jeans - Dr. Martens - H&M Fedora

It was really lovely to hang out with the gorgeous Lorna from Raindrops of Sapphire again. Lorna is a total sweetheart and has such awesome style. I was literally swooning over her Frankie B galaxy jeans the entire time. I if I could live inside one blogger's wardrobe, it would definitely be Lorna's! I also got meet up with my long lost blogger pal Milly from A Sensible Heart and Bonnie Rose who's a really cool photographer.

Does your city have it's own fashion week? Do you have a favourite trend for SS13?

Anthropologie - My Thai Style!

Wednesday 27 March 2013

Anthropologie are currently running an exciting blogging competition where you can win a £300 spree by creating a Thailand-inspired look. A few years ago I spent a month travelling around Thailand and as a result I know what to pack for next time!

If I could only take one outfit on my return trip, my key piece would be this beautiful Pakpao Maxi Dress (£128):

anthropologie pakpao dress

It's extremely hot in Thailand but it's not a dry heat, it's really sticky! This polyester dress is perfect for keeping cool while looking super stylish. Another great thing about the Pakpao Maxi Dress is the length, there are lots of mosquitos in Thailand (especially at night) so it's important to keep covered up to avoid any sore bites.

When on holiday I like to keep my accessories quite simple, I decided on the following four items to complete my outfit:

anthropologie accessories

1. Bowed Straw Cloche (£48)
A hat is a must-have for a holiday in Thailand. The sun is really strong so it's important to protect your head and face. Everyone knows that tanning your face is a big no no! I love the woven finish and cute retro bow.

Large enough to fit in a small camera, Thai dictionary and map! This gorgeous embellished clutch would look perfect with my chosen dress and is bright & beautiful enough to fit in with the decadent surroundings.

3. Mika Gladiators (£178)
The heels on these gladiators are the perfect size for walking in and they're suitable for the day or evening. My love of gladiators actually came from my visit to Thailand, they're ideal for the heat!

Not only do these sunnies look extremely chic (I definitely prefer a bit of colour when I'm on holiday), they would protect my peepers from harsh UV rays. The fact that they allow me to people watch is just an added bonus.

Whenever I travel to a new country I like to pick up jewellery and accessories to remind me of my trip. If I were to wear this outfit on my next Thai vacation I'd definitely check out the local markets and buy some bracelets/necklaces to complete my look!

Have you ever been to Thailand before? Do you like this outfit?

Can you imagine discovering someone was using your blog name and logo on their new blog? As a blogger, it's something you hear about and pray to Patz that it never happens to you. Now imagine that your blog is your business and life's work. You have put all of your hard earned money into it, worked your butt off to make it as successful as it can be and it employs a team of people who rely on the income. Now imagine someone else with more power than you has come along and is blatently copying you with callous indifference, threatening to take away everything your brand has become for their own gains. You can almost feel your stomach drop away from your body.

Black White Denim, launched in 2010, has been hailed by the fashion world, quickly earning influence and a far-reaching reputation. Vogue called it a ”winning combination”, the company featured as one of the “Top 50 best boutiques outside of London” in the Sunday Telegraph and they are ranked no.4 in Drapers’ 100 Inspiring IndiesIn February this year they discovered that Pringle’s South African distributor, Scottish Knitwear Group, was planning on opening a store in Johannesburg this summer called Black White Denim, essentially ripping them off, and even going as far as to use phrases taken from the Black White Denim website, blatantly infringing the copyright.

Founder and managing director, Jo Davies, said, “I was outraged when I found out they were stealing our name. It is even worse coming from a company attached to a name like Pringle. We’re a small independent who has carved a livelihood by establishing a clear niche through a well thought-out, hard-won concept in which we have invested all we have. Now our whole business is under threat from a mass distributor cynically attempting to piggy-back on our concept.”

Black White Denim has written to Scottish Knitwear Group, requesting that they change the store’s name. However, Scottish Knitwear Group insist they are going ahead with their plans as they were ‘initiated with absolutely no ill intent’, leaving BWD to pursue the matter through the courts.

As fans of BWD's innovative concept and amazing brand choices, we were both saddened to hear of yet ANOTHER independent being treated like this by larger bods in the same industry. It's really unfair and you'd hope that once the matter was brought to the offending company's attention then they would realise that there has been an obvious um, mistake (ahem), and that it could all be resolved amicably but unfortunately it looks like BWD will have to fight for their right to be themselves through the courts.

If you feel strongly about this issue and want to show your support, please click through HERE to read all about it and maybe email BWD at with a sentence explaining why you’re supporting the fight! Every bit of support could help, even if it's just with lifting morale at the store with a few nice words. Being independent definitely doesn't mean you are alone :)

Thanks for listening guys!

Ruby Rocks Tropical Floral Print Dress And A Chance To WIN!

Monday 25 March 2013

Bristol is a snow-free zone and since it's officially spring, today I've decided to ditch my signature Docs and embrace this fun floral number! I have a wardrobe full of pretty dresses begging to be worn and my latest addition is from Ruby Rocks at Fuse Fashion...

Ruby Rocks Tropical Floral DressPhotos by Liz Green

A few weeks ago I was surfing the Fuse website when I was instantly drawn this Tropical Floral Print Dress (£39). There are so many things I like about this dress, I love the vivid blue (blue bring out my eyes), the gorgeous print because I adore peacocks, and the flattering shape. Mine is a size small and it's not a tight fit, it falls really nicely with room to breathe, making it perfect for wearing on vacation or in the summer.

Ruby Rocks DressDress: Ruby Rocks c/o Fuse Fashion - Shoes: New Look

I chose to pair it with some classic nude pumps however in the summer I would probably swap them for some strappy sandals, unless I was wearing it on a night out - obvio. I know I'm pretty pale at the moment (understatement of the year) but I think it would look really nice with a tan.

boho betty braceletBracelet: c/o Boho Betty - Ring: Accessorize

My sweet little wrap bracelet is from Boho Betty (£10). My jewellery box is crammed with little leather bracelets like this, they're perfect for stacking but also look sweet on their own. My blingy witch ring (does it look like a witch ring to you!?) is from Accessorize and is a few years old but it's still one of my favourites.

Fuse have some awesome dresses in stock at the moment by a range of different brands. They're also running a really cool competition to win 1 of 10 dresses! They're on the hunt to find the nation's most glamorous city and to be in with the chance of winning you just need to fill in a quick survey about how glamorous you are. I've already entered and it's pretty clear that I'm not glamorous in the slightest haha.

You have until 3rd April to try your luck and the competition is only open to UK & ROI residents aged 16 and over. Winners will be chosen at random.

Would you wear a dress like this?

Snow Worries . . .

Sunday 24 March 2013

This weather is SNOW joke. Neither car could be moved and quite frankly I didn't want to try very hard so we gave up, took a pic of my lazy day outfit and went back inside to watch movies and such like. TUT!

Outfit: Cap - Dr Martens x Agyness Deyn, Jumper - TK Maxx, Leggings - Iron Fist, Boots - Dr Martens, Necklace - Sphere of Life, Ring - WAY Bristol.

I bought this hat last week. I lusted after it online at the launch of the new Aggy range, then it appeared to sell out so I thought it was game over until I walked past the DM store in Liverpool and ta daaaaaaaa! Before Tara could say 'Can't you wait two weeks Jadeypops?' I had broke No Spend March with a £30 spend. But look how pretty it issssss?

Anyhoo, I hope you're all keeping warm and cosy, stay safe snow bunnies!

48 Hour Fashion Beauty Fix at Cabot Circus!

Saturday 23 March 2013

Last Saturday I was invited to the 48 hour fashion (and beauty) fix at Cabot Circus, Bristol. It was a weekend of fun, fashion and competitions, with Cabot's retailers holding small pop-up fashion shows across 48 hours.

One of the most exciting competitions was Hook a Handbag! I do love a good giveaway so I happily queued up for the chance to play this awesome game. You had to hook a bag (no surprise there) and then retrieve a random envelope from inside it, this envelope either gave you good news or let you down gently.

Hook a handbag
I'm wearing: Wildfox rainbow jumper - Hudson Nico jeans - M&S bowler, Zatchels bucket bag - Internacionale denim shirt.

I had my eyes on the Marc Jacobs bag at the top (the star prize), but unfortunately I was a loser! Witness my sad face. Soon after I'd had my go I heard screams of delight, someone had won themselves a bag - eeep! It wasn't long before my dream bag had also been nabbed by some jammie dodger. I decided to make myself feel better by admiring the yummy SS13 fashion which was on display...

  Hello beautiful neon pieces.

Florals and monochrome are 2 of the hottest trends for Spring/Summer.

What a delicious mixture of monochrome, graphic prints, digital prints and animal print!

After looking through the racks of clothes made up of this season's biggest trends, I headed to the Frankie & Benny's pop-up bar to partake in a free mocktail! It was really fruity and extremely delicious.

Mmm...How refreshing!

There was also a really cool beauty bus situated in Quaker's Friars where you could have mini treatments, makeovers and get beauty advice for SS13

It was really quiet in the morning and Nails Inc were giving free manicures but as I still had some shopping to do (there were so many discounts around), I decided to head back at lunch for a free Benefit makeoverUnfortunately when I returned the bus was full and I didn't get a chance to get my beauty fix. Next time I'll be early.

The mini pop-up shows were especially cool, I loved how they felt more like fashion flash mobs than your average catwalk show. It was a really fun event and probably the best one I've been to in Cabot Circus. I hope they do it again for AW13!

Were you there last weekend? Has your city held a similar fashion event for SS13?

T - Loves a good fashion fix! XoX

Benefit Cosmetics FakeUp Concealer Launch at Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar Liverpool!

Friday 22 March 2013

This week I was invited to the Benefit Cosmetics FakeUp Concealer launch at Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool! Amazing events like this hardly ever come to my favourite city so I was there with bells on! FakeUp, £18.50, is Benefit's new hydrating, crease control concealer which instantly hides dark circles and diffuses fine lines for silky smooth coverage. The concealing core comes in 3 shades and the hydrating outer ring is proven to keep skin hydrated for 6 hours with vitamin E and apple seed extract - yum!

HN Beauty Bazaar is like the mothership to Liverpool makeup lovers, and once inside we were greeted by the gorgeous Joanne, Rachael and Lisa, along with two locally based Benefit lovelies, and made to feel right at home with a glass of bubbly and nibbles. The Benefit corner was beautifully set up for a good show and tell and the Benebabes kicked things off with a fun quiz (with prizes!) about the star of the show, FakeUp, where I was lucky enough to win the UK's number 1 best seller They're Real mascara, which worked out perfectly because it was top of my list for when my current mazzy ran out!

Once the ice was broken, Lisa demonstrated how to use FakeUp on Rachael. It was so easy to achieve a perfect first time application, just a 'V' shape under the eye and a quick outward pat with her ring finger and Rachael's skin looked really bright and smooth! We picked up some excellent tips about highlighting and contouring with FakeUp too, for example using the darkest shade under cheekbones to shape them before using the lighter shade to highlight their best shape, a technique I definitely intend to try out myself!

Joanne, Rachael and Lisa quizzing us, Lisa faking up Rachael and a couple of cushions that wouldn't fit in my handbag - doh!

I think a big SQUEEEEE went around as the girls told us that all three shades of FakeUp were in our take home goodybags, how lucky are we?! I took this pic for you, from L-R 01 Light (my shade), 03 Dark lying down (which I'll use for contouring) and 02 Medium (for when I have a summer glow!). I absolutely LOVE this product. The difference between this and my usual undereye concealer is immense. It feels a little like smoothing a lip balm onto your skin, but don't be put off by this if you're used to cream concealer because once applied it really does it's thing! It doesn't crease or fade during my working day at all, and I usually find myself touching up at about lunchtime, but this bad boy is still going by 5pm! I've also started using a touch of it around my nose and on my chin as a little highlighter on top of my foundation and it makes my skin look totally fresh. FakeUp is my new best friend.

After the demo we were treated to personal consultations to determine what shade of FakeUp was best for us, and also what shade of Hello Flawless! powder cover up would ALSO be in our goodybag - whaaaat?! :D Hello Flawless! is currently celebrating it's one year anniversary and it's easy to see why it's so popular, get the right shade and the effect is extraordinary - natural and um well, flawless! Lisa literally took one look at me and decided I was 'Honey', returned with a loaded brush and it just blended seamlessly into my chin. Impressive stuff!
My face in the hole, my blogging homies doing their thing, chats with the Benebabes and yummy nibbles!

My bloggette's for the night were my homegirl Gemma Satire (obvio), the super sweet Caroline from Caroline's CatwalkBethany from bettyvintage and Rebecca from It's Cohen - mwah! A few of the girls won one of three different World Famous Neutrals eyeshadow kits during the night so I got to check those out too, they're universally flattering and come with cute fold out application tip sheets. At £23.50 each they'd make awesome gifts for your gal pals.

I think we were all super surprised by the crazily epic goodybags that we all left with, so generous! Cue the obligatory be jealz pic . . . ;)

I KNOW RIGHT?!! I'm pretty much set for a few good months of concealing, highlighting,  contouring, covering and fluttering my way into summer here! Lucky girl :)

I think it's safe to say that we all had a great night and grabbed a few tips and pointers from Lisa and the guys. I want to say a massive thanks to Benefit for bringing the FakeUp launch to Liverpool, it's so nice to see major players doing it locally and getting to be a part of it - more please!

J - You gotta fake it to make it!

Western Cowgirl! Goldie London Fringed Blouse and Steve Madden Cowboy Boots.

Thursday 21 March 2013

It's pretty obvious that my favourite trend this season is Western, I just can't get enough! In the summer I'll be wearing brown cowboy boots, fringed bags and floaty dresses on a daily basis. Until then, I've found a cold weather appropriate (ish) outfit to see me through...

Goldie London Fringed Blouse

Will I ever stop wearing this H&M fedora? Probably not. My awesome lone ranger style fringed blouse (£35) is by Goldie London c/o my best friends Fuse Fashion! I absolutely love the fringing and the cute embellishment on the collar. Adorablz.

Hat: H&M - Shirt: Goldie London c/o Fuse Fashion - Belt: H&M - Skirt: Dahlia - Boots: Swaret cowboy boots c/o Steve Madden

I decided to pair my Goldie blouse with my trusty laser-cut detail skirt from Dahlia Fashion which I pray I don't wear out. In the warmer months I'll probably just tuck it into some denim shorts but still rock these amazing Swaret cowboy boots (Now £60 Was £110) from Steve Madden. I already own the brown version of these bad boys but the black kept calling to me!

Steve Madden Swaret BootsPhotos by Liz Green.

They're ridiculously comfy and also look hella cool tucked into skinny jeans and leggings. I'm so glad Steve Madden is now in the UK, I used to have to get my fix while on holiday in the US! Are you a fan of the western trend?
