REVIEW! Eylure Naturalites Upper & Lower Lash Duo False Eyelashes!

Sunday 26 June 2011

I am a self proclaimed false eyelash expert, but have never felt the need to try any on my lower lashes, until now! The Eylure Naturalites range have always been a fave so I was confident they would look awesome, and they doooooo! These ones are around £9-£10 in Boots, Superdrug etc, but Eylure lashes last for ages if you look after them so I wouldn't mind dropping a tenner on them :)

They were easier to apply then the uppers, and I'm really pleased with the effect. This choppy style is designed to give you that 'dolls eye' kinda look, but you can much more natural looking ones if you prefer.

My false eyelash addiction is now getting to the point were BF wouldn't even bat an eyelid if I popped out to Asda batting green feather extensions, but why spend ages brushing and coiffing your own lashes with mascara when you can just falsify and go!?

J - Jenny Frost and POD can do one, my lashes would STAY!

Baci Lingerie from Lingerie Please - Miami Hotness!

So we love Miami, and we love lingerie, but which is best?....Well it doesn't matter atch because we can get both in the gorgeous Baci Lingerie range from Lingerieplease.co.uk!

The sweet gals at www.lingerieplease.co.uk were kind enough to send us a Baci set each to try (we don't think we have to return them....hee hee), they were confident that we'd love their secsi, new and affordable brand, and they were right! Baci emulates the luxury, boudoir vibe of high end brands like Agent Provocateur and Myla, combined with the flirty, fun timez of Leg Avenue but with the price tags of high street stores like Matalan and Primark, so we were pretty keen to try it out for size (excuse the pun).

We were both sent a Multiway Deep V Push Up Bra (just £8!) and a pair of the Low Rise Lace Shorts (£4) in black and white.

The bras are SUPER light despite having slightly moulded cups, and you seriously don't even feel like you're wearing one (in a good way). Plus, the multiway straps are so handy in the summer when our vest straps are all over the place! The traditional white and black colours are fresh and versatile but it also comes in a cute pink for the girly girl in you :)

The shorties are adorable (and RAWRboy approved), very comfortable and with a flattering cut which makes your butt look totally lifted a la Minaj! Again, they also come in the cute pink, and for £4 a pair, you can't argue with the quality.

Baci is Italian for 'kiss' apparently, which is exacly what you should expect once you pop a few of their pieces into your lingerie drawer! Check out the rest of the range at Lingerie Please, we hope they love it so much they start to stock a bit more from the Black Label and White Collections seen here on the Baci webby!

J & T - Kiss Kiss.

Monday 20 June 2011

So, everyone's doing 'Festival Style' posts and we didn't want you guys to go without, but to make it a bit more interesting we decided to head to the mothership, TK Maxx, who are currently having a superbrand explosion, to see what we could put together using their designer brands at high street prices!
We decided to go for different styles, so Tara took a Glastonbury-esque vibe and Jade took on a Creamfields-ey edge.
Jade Look 1:
Shirt - £14.99
Shorts - £12.99
Hunter boots - £39.99 (RRP £69.99!)
Betsey Johnson sunnies - £12.99 (RRP £60!)
Hat - £6.99

Jade Look 2:
Junk Food tee - £9.99 (RRP £30!)
Firetrap jeans - £29.99 (RRP £80!)
Michael Kors bag - £79.99 (RRP £245) - And YES, I would totally rock into Creamfields swinging an MK bag, it's camo, it BLENDS ;)
Hunter boots and Betsey Johnson sunnies as before...

It's hard to pick a fave CF-style outfit but Look 2 kinda wins, the Firetrap carrot leg jeans felt really cool hanging down low and the tee was super soft and cute!
Tara Look 1:
Dress - £19.99
Shrug - £9.99
Hunter boots - £39.99 (RRP £69.99!) - T's #1 ESSENTIAL for muddy Glasto!
Leather Satchel - £69.99 (RRP £129.99!)
Hat - £12.99

Tara Look 2:
Dress - £29.99
Fossil Belt - £9.99 (RRP £24!)
Sunnies - £29.99 (RRP 139.99!)
Hunter boots, Leather Satchel and Hat as before...

Fave Glasto look was definitely Look 1 - the white dress and little shrug will totally be travelling with her later this summer! And seriously, can you believe TK Maxx has Hunter boots at £39.99?! And there were all sorts of colours to choose from - amazing!
We LOVE a good browse in TK, but for those of you who find the rails a little daunting, or don't have the time to check it out can now shop online (it's surprising how many people don't know that TK Maxx, is online!). Right now, you can find Celine shoes starting at £99.99, Angel Jackson Jaguar belts at £39.99 and super hot Carrera sunnies at £29.99!
Seek out your local TK here or pop online! What's been your best TK Maxx find?!
T & J - If we were American, it would be T&J Maxx. We're in there so much the staff think we're store detectives!

Spotted! Lady Gaga's stylist wearing SPIRITHOODS Panda!

Monday 6 June 2011

As most of you Rawrers know, we're absolutely SpiritHoods obsessed.

Although we discovered the LA brand back in September 2010, the animal inspired headwear recently landed in the UK and has been spotted on a number of celebs including Jessie J, Jared Leto, Ellie Goulding and Vanessa Hudgens!

We love seeing our favourite celebs rockin' their hoods, so just try to imagine our excitement last week when we spotted this picture of Nicola Formichetti (Fashion Director behind Lady Gaga's incredible style), wearing the Panda hood!

The Panda signifies Balance, Solitude and Strength.

We just know that it's only a matter of time before Gaga herself is snapped wearing a SpiritHood! Oh Lordy.

Their pieces are handmade in LA & completely faux-fur. They donate 10% of their proceeds to non profit organisations that protect endangered species. So if you buy a Panda, you help a Panda. (Guilt-free spending= hurrah!)

There are tons of other styles including the Husky, Polar Bear, Snow Leopard and the Red Wolf. Each hood represents a different 'spirit' so you can select the hood that best defines your personality!

J owns the Polar Bear hood & I (T) own the Leopard hood. If you want to see pictures of us rockin' our hoods, then read this previous post. RAWR! ;)

You can view the full range @ http://www.spirithoods.com & although they ship worldwide, our favourite UK stockist is Spoiled Brat.

Every Rawrer NEEDS one (or two). Paws up for SpiritHoods!

RAWR Reviews...XEN-TAN PERFECT BLEND SELF TAN LOTION!

Sunday 5 June 2011

I recently got my paws on a bottle of Xen-Tan's newest product, Perfect Blend (RRP £34.99); an innovative dual chamber bottle containing two separate tanning products designed to work together – self-tan on one side and instant bronzer on the other, you simply twist the dial to select the colour you want to achieve and the 2 products are dispensed together to create the 'Perfect Blend'!

I am naturally very pale (despite my dark hair and eyes), so when I self tan I usually need to start with a light colour building up to a darker shade, or it becomes very apparent that it's fake! This is obviously time consuming, and can be expensive too, as I can go through a lot of product before achieving a good colour!

I tried Perfect Blend for the first time last night, and the results this morning are AMAZING. I've tried A LOT of self tanning products over the years and nothing has come close to this for ease of application and colour results. I applied it using the Xen-Tan Luxury Tanning Mitt (RRP £3.99), a yummy velour mitt which totally speeded up (and tidied up - no mucky palms!) the application process. For my first time, I chose a fairly light shade and managed a full body and face application in less than ten minutes, which used approximately a fifth of the contents. The instant bronzer left a pretty, shimmery and lightly tanned tint to my skin as opposed to a muddy nasty colour you want to wash off STAT, and I would definitely be keen to use it by itself! The scent was yummy (Perfect Blend includes Xen-Tan's breakthrough product Scent Secure (RRP £24.99) that neutralises the usual icky tanning odours) and it dried fast - I was PJ'd up 2 minutes after completing application! And then, we wait......

Fast forward to this morning, and BF comes in from Sunday football, looks at me and says 'Wow, you're brown!' ;) And I am! I have a natural looking even all over tan, not a streak in sight, which is amazing when I consider how pale I was. No real need to apply another layer to get a deeper colour, but I'm considering it anyway because now I'm hooked and wondering what a top-up could achieve! This is hot stuff. I know it's a bit more expensive than other products but the fact that I don't need to re-apply it to get an acceptable result makes it totally cost effective, plus it's like getting 4 products in 1; a self tanner, an instant bronzer, an instant bronzer with a self tanner in it AND a moisturiser - which would easily tot up to £35 if I was to buy them all at once!

This RAWR girl is totally converted. Take 4 tanning products to the checkout, not me, now I just Perfect Blend and go! Yeah, I know that's cheesy but I couldn't help it sorry! Seriously, it's amazing, if you are a regular tanner and haven't tried any Xen-Tan products, you need to go there and Perfect Blend is the ideal first purchase. This is one girl who is never going back!

This weekend if you buy Perfect Blend, Xen-Tan will give you their Body Scrub (RRP £14.99) for FREE, and it's free delivery!

J - The skin and body of Jessica Alba. Okay, just the skin then ;)

Maggie Angus Does LEO!

I am MORE than in love with these new pieces from RAWR fave Maggie Angus! It's SO hard to get classy leopard print jewellery; you so often see hoop or button earrings, bangles or pendants that just don't have enough surface area to pull off an amazing leo print, so when the lovely Anna at Maggie Angus showed me this mini collection I was super excited! Anna has taken a classic leopard print and used the actual shapes to create gorgeous perspex jewellery!

The necklace is £24.99, bracelet comes in at £22.99 and the earrings are £15.99. I've just ordered the earrings, I literally can't wait to receive them! I will of course be doing a show and tell ;)

And keep an eye out for the new Maggie Angus Night Life collection which launches on 1st July, we've seen a sneak peek and let's just say that if you're a lover of our nocturnal furry and feathered friends, you will want to be there on release date! Anna describes the collection as a '...wonderful world of nocturnal creatures. Bold striking silhouettes of deer, bears, feathers, foxes and owls are created by the crystal glare of the moon. Each piece of jewellery is made from a sleek palette of black glittered and luscious shiny-mirrored perspex, reflecting the mysterious and magical universe at night.' Sounds absolutely fierce!

J - dropping a lot of leo bitchez!
