So, do you know about the lovely Christie Martin? If you don't, you really should because her jewellery is AMAZING! Christie has designed jewellery since 1993 and her current lines are worn by hot celebs such as Paris, Fergie, Beyonce and the Olsen twins. She specialises in personalisation, but not just your average name necklaces a la Carrie, noooo no, these bad boys are special from the Graffiti style necklaces and rings, custom stamped Love tags to show your love to the world and my personal fave, the Old English letter pieces. Prices range from $25 all the way up to the upper $$$ so there's something for everyone, check out my picks below!

Gold Plated Old English Choker $245 If this doesn't bring out the Hollaback Girl in you, I don't know what will ;)

Graffiti Ring $235 Will hold up to 3 letters boyeeeeeeeeee.

Framed Disc Necklace $185 You can have up to 5 characters written in the discs, perfect for us - STYLE RAWR or Tara and Jade haha!

Sterling Silver Candy Heart Necklace $135 can you say awwww? Declare your love in up to 8 characters! Hmmm, I think I'd have FASHION!

You really should go have a look see at Christie's store here, there's so much to look at in every price range, you'll be making a christmas list! Or is that just me? International postage starts at $21. Considering you're getting a one off, individual piece from an exclusive designer, the prices are really great, and if they're good enough for Fergilicious Fergie et Bootylicious Bey, then I want!

Check out this gorgeous Vampire Lips Charm, $52 on pre-order from Juicy Couture and shipping in July!

Easton Relic Skinny Jeans Review - LOVE!

Sunday 27 June 2010

I was so excited to receive some hot new denim from Easton that I was up earlier than usual on a Saturday morning and headed for my local DHL depot, just in the hope that the parcel they were holding for me was my new indigos!

Happily, it was my new Easton Relic Skinny jeans, all dark and new, and complete with matching tote bag (I literally squealed in delight at this little extra) - it was love at first sight and I couldn't wait to try them on.

After some careful measuring using some jeans in my closet and Easton's handy Fit Guide on their webby, I had chosen a size 32. I would liken it to a UK12, simply because the jeans I measured to estimate my Easton size are also a UK12, and the fit is ridiculously perfect, and actually better than any other denim in my collection. Considering Easton denim is unisex, they fit my curvy figure like a glove! :)

They sit perfectly on my waist without causing a (dare I say it) 'muffin top', yet they don't feel too high waisted - like, I could wear a belt and you can still see the buckle peeking out from under an average length tee.

The leg length is cool too, long enough to look amazing with heels, but also managing to sit nicely on top of my Converse, yet at the same time they can handle a turn up (which I love, and I won't apologise for it).

There are also some sweet little details. Simple things like how the branded leather back plate sits below the belt loop so the branding can still be seen, and I love the way there is a raised 'E' logo inside the rear pocket which shows through the pocket when your butt fills it, so it's all about discreet Easton branding in an oh so stylish way. Loves it.

Overall, I ADORE these jeans, Easton are definitely my new favourite brand, I just hope that UK stockists pick up on these STAT. Not only are they super stylish and hot, but they are ethically produced too! In the meantime we can order all styles of Easton jeans on their online store, prices range from just $38 to $70. The Relic style I have is just $55, amazing!

You can follow Easton on Facebook here, or on Twitter here, do it, we need more Easton jeans around here!

J - feeling unisexy ;)

buTTerfLypie - sweet handmade treats!

So, we love fun handmade jewellery here and we often trawl Folksy etc for cute finds, so I thought I'd just show you a couple of pieces I've ran into recently after bumping into buTTerfLypie as it's always nice to see new things right?

Check out this cute little 'Glamorous Blonde' necklace from buTTerfLypie on Folksy! For £6 you can hang this pretty lady around your neck! I actually know a hot blonde with a passion for Blondie who might love this ;)

I noticed that buTTerfLypie also has these cool paper Butterfly Wing earrings on her bigcartel store, for £5. MUCH less disturbing than some of the real ones I've seen around recently (SO sad, it's like wearing fur!), so now you can follow this trend without harming any of our fluttery friends :)

These are really cute pieces, the Blonde reminds me of Tarina Tarantino's Barbie line, and the Butterfly Wings pick up on a S/S 2010 trend but the paper gives them a cool eco-friendly twist :)

You know our mantra, we're all destined for something more glamorous than this, so pop on over to Folksy and Big Cartel etc and support the handmade crew with a sale or two! Ooh that rhymes ;)

Phuze these rings onto your fingers!

Since 2000, Phuze has created yummy modern jewellery and gorgeous fun homeware from crystal and glass, so how come it's only now that their candy shop rings have caught our eye? Don't worry, we're not slipping, they are mostly distributed in USA and Mexico, and it's a crime that they're not easier to get hold of here in UK!

Their artist Orfeo Quagliata has been working with glass since he was just 12 years old when he began apprenticing with his dad, acclaimed artist Narcissus Quagliata, and his Grandmother Herta Jalkotzy, an award-winning jewellery designer. After this he learned cold-working techniques still just at age 17, from Catalonian glass artist José Fernandez Castrillo. He later began experimenting with other techniques and earnt a BFA in Industrial and Furniture Design from the California College of Arts. Today, Orfeo leads the design and production teams at the Phuze facility in Mexico City, where they produce these delicious little desirables I'm about to show you.

Check these bad boys out, don't you just want to roll in them?! A nom nom!

This is the Phuze 'Bling Ring' collection, and aren't they pretty? They remind me of candy rings, I don't think I'd be able to stop myself biting down on one if it was on my finger! You can buy them here at The Glam Room, they ship internationally, yey!

My personal favourite is the Ivory Bling Ring (pictured below) - it has an air of Gaga for me, especially if teamed with a bit of black lace or pvc ;)

Even Oprah Magazine loves Phuze's rings, featuring a gorgeous cherry red style in their Valentine issue, and if Oprah endorses you, you know you're doing something right! ;)

So that's Phuze rings for you, sweet modern cuts of finger jewellery, and we LOVE them! Phuze also do necklaces, earrings, bracelets and cufflinks, amongst amazing homeware (we adore their martini and shot glasses!) so go take a peek at their distributor UniqArte's webby and bombard your local boutique with stockist requests because we need more in the UK!

All images credited with thanks to UniqArte.

JC - come and get your candy <3

Get Ready To Rock Some Socks.

So, don't worry about keeping that summer tan girls because long socks are coming back for winter, yey! Absolutely loads of F/W 2010 runways were pounded by models wearing socks of all lengths with their designer heels so you should start to plan for it hitting our legs very soon!

I put together a shortlist of some of my fave socks currently available now, to give us a head start in the style stakes before they get snapped up once the sun goes in :)

The cool US online store 80s Purple has a couple of ridiculously hot styles in their own 'Purple Label' range, check these out. 80s Purple also have REALLY reasonable shipping fees so fill your boots (literally this time).

I LOVE these knee high 'Headdress' socks, so on trend even now so these will take you nicely into autumn! £18.76 from 80s Purple.

Also, love these over the knee 'Tatters' pair, the pattern makes them look torn and laddered for that shabby chic look! £17.42 from 80s Purple.

Trasparenze are taking socks onto a sexier level, so sophisticated but super hot, check them out at www.uktights.com. The Trasparenze Euspira Knee High Sock is just £6.45 from UKTights, but looks much more expensive!

I am also loving their Anachis Over The Knee Socks, maybe not in this orange colour, but they also come in black, white, purple, blue and pink, all £12.95 from UKTights. It's the ruching at the back that I love, it takes the dodgy sexy schoolgirl look down a notch and turns it into a more fashionable look as we saw a lot of ruching on the catwalks for next season.

If you want something a bit girlier, New Look are doing these cutesy grey or cream Floral Knee Highs pictured below for just £3!!

And finally, American Apparel are appealing to our pretty pretty side with their Girly Lace Ankle Sock. At £8 a pair, and available in 7 colours (grey/white pictured), these are so versatile you could wear them with flat masculine brogues or girly dolly shoes!

So there you go, whatever your style there is a sock out there for you. I think I'll be mainly going with knee highs, and 80s Purple will be my first stop!

Images credited to 80s Purple, UK Tights, New Look and American Apparel, with thanks :)

JC - I'm too socksy for my blog ;)
