Rosie Fortescue Nailed London - Made In Chelsea Style at Harvey Nichols!

Made In Chelsea star and super stylish blogger gal Rosie Fortescue recently teamed up with Nailed London to create a line of luxurious gel wear polishes, exclusively sold at Harvey Nichols and Feel Unique. The colour range is amazing, with everything from perfect pastels to jewel tones and speckle glitters, and they wear like a dream!

For a bit of fun, Harvey Nichs challenged me to whip up a little outfit to suit a scenario inspired by the name of one of Rosie's beaut colours! I chose to go with 'Liquid Lunch', a gorgeous baby blue because I could just see myself meeting up with the fabulous Mark Francis to eyeroll and omgosh as we sip something flirty and gossip about who is doing who, wearing what and where!

Phase Eight Gown at Lovethesales.com

Both Jade & I love sale shopping. If sale shopping were a sport, I'm pretty sure we'd be world champions. We're a pair of enablers, constantly sharing bargains with each other on a near daily basis making saving for our weddings almost impossible. We tend to browse individual websites to hunt for savvy buys but we were recently introduced to LovetheSales.com, an awesome site which pulls together all the sales from over 4000 brands at up to 80% off. Genius.

The higher the reduction, the more I likely I am to buy it because I'm a retailer's dream, I love the thought of saving lots of money and let's face it, sale shopping can be a bit addictive! This evening I'm heading to Glasgow as I'm attending the Scottish Style Awards with Steph on Saturday. I'm extremely excited to visit the city as I've never been before and I have a pretty incredible itinerary lined up. What does a girl wear to a celeb-filled red carpet event!? Decisions, decisions. I needed help so turned to Love the Sales for some assistance in finding the perfect occasion wear dress.

Couple Style Post: Sprayway Outdoor Clothing

Wednesday, 21 October 2015

It's time for a long overdue couples post! Sam's back on the blog and sporting some brand spanking new outdoor clothing by British brand, Sprayway. As he used to work in an outdoor clothing shop, he's actually a bit of an expert when it comes to outerwear (well, by my standards) and pretty darn knowledgeable. Unlike me, he was already familiar with Sprayway and was super keen to try out a jacket from their new Autumn/Winter '15 collection which is exclusive to Blacks.

Not just for the boys, Sprayway also have a womenswear collection, so I was also able to get involved in the latest campaign and test out their new collection for myself! After backpacking for the first time over 6 years ago, I developed a genuine excitement for active/outdoor clothing. It may sound a bit weird to those 100% fashiony types, but I love new outdoor gear. This includes fleece jackets, coats, backpacks, camping supplies and walking boots. Probably because I can't buy new outdoor pieces without thinking about all the adventures I can go on while wearing them!

Next Take 12 Collaboration: Textured Tie Neck Blouse

Monday, 19 October 2015

If you're a regular reader, you'll know how much I adore Next! The brand has changed a lot over the past few years, it's definitely more trend focused and no longer just somewhere my mum shops. I was recently invited to take part in their 'Next Take 12' collaboration where 12 bloggers were asked to style one piece in their own unique way to tie in with their new service - ‘order by midnight for next day delivery'. Genius. I always shop online before bed so this is perfect for night owls like me.

The key item we were asked to style is the Textured Tie Neck Blouse, I do love a good pussybow blouse so of course I jumped at the chance to put a Rawrgirl slant on this challenge. These photos were taken close to Bristol Bridge, I love walking along the Bristol harbourside on Sundays, the vibe is so chilled and relaxed.

Cape: New Look - Blouse: Next (c/o) - Hat: Accessorize - Skirt: M&S - Boots: F&F

I don't think this look could get anymore autumnal! Berry + tartan = a winning combo in my eyes. I'll also be pairing my blouse with leather trousers, ripped jeans and tartan trousers... Like I did in this outfit post back in '13. It's such a versatile piece and the texture makes it slicker than your average pussybow blouse.

I'd love to know how you'd style this blouse! Please let me know in the comments below.

Do you shop in Next? Which one piece in your wardrobe shouts A/W to you?

Winter Accessory Essentials - Dr. PAWPAW, A Good Hat and Fierce Boots!

Friday, 16 October 2015

Ooooooh hasn't it been nippy this week? Time to get the old winter essentials out, and I don't just mean gloves and a scarf, your beauty routine should get a cold weather switch up too as those frosty winds make skin and lips dry out faster! I've recently become a Dr. PAWPAW convert, this multi-use antibacterial and antimicrobial balm comes in three colours, Original Clear (which can be used literally everywhere!), Tinted Peach Pink and Ultimate Red (£6.95 each).

Dr. PAWPAW Balm review

You may have spied Tara wearing the Ultimate Red last week (she really suits a bold lip!), but it's the Tinted Peach Pink that has been my everyday go to colour since I got it. It's so nourishing on the lips with that glossy, rich feel that lasts longer than your average lipgloss/balm. The colour is very natural with a light application, but can be layered to a good strong peach if you prefer. I've been using my finger to apply it (GASP!) then neatening the lipline with a pencil if I want a stronger look. You can also use it on cheeks for a quick flush of colour, the peach is a delicate, pretty colour for pale skins like mine and I love the way it shines, like light strobing without the intense cosmetic use!

Dr. PAWPAW Balm review

This is the perf product to pop in your bag for a cold day out, and with that in mind here's one of my first true winter cool outfits featuring all three of my new faves!

Outfit: Hat - H&M, Jumper - H&M - Jeans - Charley 5.0, Boots - Warehouse, Coat - New Look., Necklace - Mi Moneda.

Liverpool blogger outfit post

This hat is so cute, and I'm such a sucker for pompoms and anything with 'ears' on! It's 100% wool and only £15, bargain! I think it would pretty much go with any outfit and I like the idea of it trending up a really simple look if I was having a lazy fashion day.

These are my new Warehouse boots. They were £75 but I swear I've wore them every other day since I got them. They're SO comfortable and my only worry about them is that I'm going to wear them out before the season is through!

Ted & Muffy Bath Blogger Event

Wednesday, 14 October 2015

Last week I headed to the Ted & Muffy Bath Blogger event! You may have spotted Ted&Muffy popping up across the blogosphere recently, the brand is a reinvented version of DUO and boy is it impressive. This new venture has a much cooler, more stylish vibe and was created by the original designers (called Ted & Muffy - yes they are real people) who wanted to maintain the high quality of the DUO brand, but give it a bit more of an edge.

Their new autumn/winter collection is apparently just a taster of what's to come, it's crammed with both bold new styles and classic footwear, in a bid to attract a more fashionable shopper but still keep their loyal customer base happy. We were invited to check out the new store which is still in the same location as DUO, it's just been completely revamped with a whole new look.

I always love hanging out with fellow local Bristol & Bath bloggers and it was good to catch up with the team behind the brand - the PR girls are so stylish and friendly. We were treated to nibbles & fizz while we got to socialise and drool over the new range.

Be the cat! Halloween Prep with Johnny Loves Rosie Chelsea Cat Ears Headband and Pierre Rene Cosmetics!

Monday, 12 October 2015

I doubt you've missed it because it does come around every year, but it's Halloween soon, and even if you are party-less like me (so far!), one definitely needs to prep a cute but simple look for answering the door to hopeful trick or treaters! I've recently acquired a few pieces of kit that I have put together to help me morph into something a little more feline.

The Pierre Rene Gel Waterproof Eyeliner (£14) is my new fave thing to put on my face. I much prefer using a brush over a pen or pencil to apply my flicks and this makes it so easy. The gel is a slick, dense black and you only need one stroke to get an opaque line. The little integrated brush is perfect for the job and has a nice taut bristle. It's also ridiculously hard wearing and boasts a 24hr waterproof lock on your skin. I can't vouch for the 24hr thing because I'm not that hardy myself, but I can say that I do have to soak it off with remover after about 12 hours, so ta dah!

The Pierre Rene Eyebrow Set (£12) is a pretty cool price compared to something like HD Brows but this colour set doesn't really work for my black brows. I am using the darkest brown powder in the palette and the wax but the other two colours seem a waste. However it does apply rather nicely, though I'm not massively keen on the applicator provided, it's just not precise enough for the job, an angled brush would be more helpful. Regardless, it does the job but I think we all have a fave brow product and this one isn't going to knock mine off the top spot just yet.

And with that here is my finished look. The headband is the quite simply adorable Johnny Loves Rosie Chelsea Cat Ears (£18). Unlike cheaper supermarket versions, it's really well made with beautifully finished edges and lace. This is an investment piece that you will bring out every year, I think everyone needs a cat ears headband in their lives to be honest.

I can't wait for Halloween, it's not technically a holiday over here but it's definitely my fave 'occasion' after Christmas and let's face it, any opportunity to look like a kitty is one that should be grabbed with both paws!

Are you planning anything for Halloween?

Wallis Suede Look Shift Dress

Thursday, 8 October 2015

The 70s trend was my favourite trend of the spring/summer and it's since been updated for autumn/winter with one key addition - faux fur. Oh how I adore faux fur. My newest on-trend frock is from Wallis, I just fell in love with the oversized shape & how soft the material is.

Shift dresses are flattering for everyone & this suede look version is no different. I opted for the size 8 which fits well but I think I probably should've sized up to a 10 for even looser fit, but it's still a beaut. I styled it with my Unreal Fur Wanderlust jacket & my trusty perforated ASH boots.

Liverpool Wildflower

How many times do you see a beautiful wildflower meadow slap bang in the middle of an inner city development area? I couldn't believe how pretty this piece of land on the edge of Liverpool city centre was, so in true blogger form we stopped to take some pics! It was full of poppies, cornflowers and daisies, a gorgeous little haven of nature nestled between a main road and an actual building site. This city always has me in awe.

It's always a treat to get something from Wolford, and there would be no better way to celebrate the return of black opaques in your wardrobe this season than with a pair of Wolford Pure 50. Award winning and innovating no doubt, but above all stylish and comfortable for the wearer. Made from special, soft and smooth yarn, with invisible and bonded seams, these tights make you feel unbelievably cosy and warm, yet still look super hot. Confidence is key!

With this in mind I paired mine with my fave black knit and some animal print. Be the cat, prowl those streets!

Rush Hair & Beauty Liverpool

Rush Hair & Beauty have come to Liverpool! Their new salon is on Ranelagh St opposite Central Station, and makes it into history as the first to open outside London and the South East. I was invited to check it out on opening day, and never one to turn down a good glam sesh, off I went . . .

The salon itself is super shiny and new, and the team are all so friendly, they really can't do enough for you while your stylist does their thing. My hair was finished with a curly blow (plus a little ghd demo) by the lovely Stefania, a Company Consultant, and it looked fab!

I've been a Cosmo girl since I was about 16. It was, and still very much is, the go-to guide for young women forging careers, developing their individual style and finding their place in the world. Their message has always been about believing in yourself and living the life you want; fun and fearless. That famous spirit has now been bottled in fragrance form with Cosmopolitan's self titled debut signature scent!
