Couple Style Post: Sprayway Outdoor Clothing

Wednesday 21 October 2015

It's time for a long overdue couples post! Sam's back on the blog and sporting some brand spanking new outdoor clothing by British brand, Sprayway. As he used to work in an outdoor clothing shop, he's actually a bit of an expert when it comes to outerwear (well, by my standards) and pretty darn knowledgeable. Unlike me, he was already familiar with Sprayway and was super keen to try out a jacket from their new Autumn/Winter '15 collection which is exclusive to Blacks.

Not just for the boys, Sprayway also have a womenswear collection, so I was also able to get involved in the latest campaign and test out their new collection for myself! After backpacking for the first time over 6 years ago, I developed a genuine excitement for active/outdoor clothing. It may sound a bit weird to those 100% fashiony types, but I love new outdoor gear. This includes fleece jackets, coats, backpacks, camping supplies and walking boots. Probably because I can't buy new outdoor pieces without thinking about all the adventures I can go on while wearing them!

A few chilly weekends ago we headed to the Bristol Clifton Suspension Bridge for an afternoon walk wearing our new gear. I'm pretty obsessed with my new Fitbit so I'm always up for a long stroll if it means it'll help me hit my 10,000 steps.

Sam's wearing the men's Crag 3 in 1 jacket, which is a pretty impressive coat. It has a 2 layer Hydro-dry fabric which sheds the heaviest downpours and a zip in/zip out fleece which is even softer than mine. It's also a really nice colour which is a plus (not all outdoor clothing is ugly) and he hasn't taken it off since it arrived so I think it's fair to say he recommends it. Sprayway does run big for both men and women, so keep that in mind when it comes to ordering.

I'm wearing the Sprayway Elm fleece which is officially the cosiest pullover I own. It's oversized (this is an 8), soft and feels fantastic on. It would be perfect for a mini hike in the UK but would work just as well when walking the dog. They have quite a few cool womenswear pieces but I'm kind of in love with their purple jacket! I think it would look good in Iceland, who agrees with me!?

Both Sam & I couldn't be happier with our pieces although I think Sam's jacket takes the crown for overall awesomeness. Have you heard of Sprayway? Do you shop at Blacks?
