Here at The Style Rawr, we love discovering new brands! Simoni Textile Designs produce hand-woven accessories using the finest yarns and we can't help but SWOON over her unique pieces. Greek designer Simoni Papaefstathiou hails from Cyprus but studied Textile Design in London, where she now lives. Her impressive designs have gained her a strong following in Cyprus where she has been featured by various publications such as Time Out, and has made several TV appearances.

Now London-based, Simoni Textile Designs has launched onto the UK market and I was recently sent a beautiful metallic clutch to style in an outfit post.

Dress & Shoes: F&F - Clutch: Simoni Textiles (c/o)

It may be New Year's Eve but my night is going to be relatively chilled so I decided to style this clutch with my sparkly shift dress, red fedora and black court shoes. This clutch is the perfect size for me as I like to have a relatively big bag so I can fit everything in!

Beautifully finished with a statement gold leather panel, it was made to the highest standard... I love how special it makes me feel! I'm always drawn to more unique accessories, this is certainly an iconic piece and a great conversation starter.

I believe it's really important to support independent brands and give them the love they deserve, Simoni Textile Designs has a range of scarves, bags, purses, earrings and much more! I have a bit of a weakness for her 'Bohemian Ribbons' collection featuring pieces made from dreamy pastel colours... I adore the wristlet purses.

I'd love it if you would check out their website or Etsy page to view more of their incredible pieces. I've noticed they often post discount codes on their Facebook page, so make sure you like them to keep up-to-date with their latest news and offers.

Which piece is your favourite? How would you style this bag? - T

It's almost everyone's fave time of the year again - Christmas sale time! I love Christmas. I love giving gifts, receiving gifts and getting my shop on. Tomorrow, one of my favourite sales launches - The Dressing Room sale. This award-winning independent boutique is adored by locals and fashionistas from across the UK. Men's Nike Roshe One Running Trainers Review

Tuesday 22 December 2015

My favourite person in the world is back! Sam loves a bit of outfit post action and I would never dare attempt to dress him, he's got his own distinct style which I love, even if I do tell him he looks like a grandad 70% of the time.

Although he does have a nice selection of brogues and smart shoes which he wears for special occasions, he mostly found wearing trainers. He's the kind of man who only buys a couple of pairs of new trainers a year and then wears them until they fall apart. So he's like most men, I guess. He was recently sent a new pair of Nike Roshe One to style from the King of Trainers, JD Sports.

Bath and Unwind: Joico Moisture Recovery Haircare Review

Sunday 20 December 2015

I'm trying to grow my hair for my upcoming wedding, I know it's already quite long but I want it even longer so I can have huge bouncy waves on my big day. I've already started to make little changes, I blow dry it less and straighten it less, and I've also started to switch up my hair care products.

A few months back I was sent some Joico shampoo and conditioner from online faves, Bath & Unwind. I've read lots of reviews about Joico, so had high hopes this could be the new shampoo/conditioner for me!

So what makes Joico so special?

I love a good sparkly frock, especially at this time of the year which is why I can't get enough of F&F. Jade & I recently took over their Instagram for a day to promote their new AW15 collection, and I was sent this rather festive look to feature (complete with my signature fedora).

F&F has continued to up their game, just after this outfit arrived I placed an online order for more sparkly pieces to wear over the Christmas period, including a beautiful Art Deco dress I'm planning to wear to my office party!

Office Christmas Party Look With Debenhams

Wednesday 16 December 2015

Going from work to an after hours party without time to change can be tricksy, but I think I've put together something totally workable with a little help from Debenhams!

For a start, I'm not the girliest of girls in the office and I very rarely wear a skirt or dress, so even just a hint of leg will up my game. With that in mind I chose this Girls On Film Pink Lace Sleeve Dress (£40) because it's not a style my colleagues will have ever seen me in. It's cute and it's very feminine, but it needs toughening up a tad if it's going to work for me so I picked out this amazing H! by Henry Holland Navy Military Jacket (£65) to New Romantic it up a bit. This jacket is unbelievable. The detailing is beautiful on it and it's really weighty. If it had tails (which I'm obsessed with) it would be perf. As very well demonstrated by my hero Prince in the 80's, flouncy sleeves and military detailing go hand in hand, so this was my inspiration for the look as I finished it off with last season's flat OTK boots and an embellished box bag.

Christmas Gifts for Cats With Tigga Towers!

Tuesday 15 December 2015

I spoil my beautiful cats Loki and Logan. They're my witch kitty babies and they get whatever we think they need so it was with great enthusiasm that I discovered Tigga Towers. a homegrown luxury cat product brand! Tigga Towers products are not only designed for cats, but they also take into account feline behaviour and safety, covering all aspects of play and comfort. Now okay, so the luxury towers and scratching posts made from solid oak and polished granite are a little out of our price range (starting at £234), but the bedding and toys are most definitely within our paw grasp with prices starting at just £6 for a catnip toy.

Now they say black cats are lucky, and my two certainly are because Tigga Towers sent them a beaut little care package of a bed and a catnip toy each to share. Loki (pictured in these photos) immediately took to the Catnip Fish Bone (£6) with all the vigour of a tiger on prey. He carries it around the house in his little mouth and growls at it as he 'kills' it which is adorable! Logan adores the Cat Nip Toy Ball, and being more of a lover than a fighter he prefers to chase it around the house in a game of pawball! Both are indoor cats, so their toys are very important to them as they don't get to stalk live prey (other than the occasional unlucky spider). Being dutiful parents, Tim and I are always buying them new toys to keep things interesting for them, but they rarely hit the spot as well as these ones! Both toys are super light which makes it easy for the cats to throw them around and really feel like they have control over their own play. They're also machine washable and trust me they need to be as they are constantly being chewed and drooled on!

The Round Doughnut Cat Bed (£25) is currently the most popular bed in the house (and we have A LOT to choose from!). I'm definitely going to have to get another one. Logan is especially taken with it, we think because he is the bigger of the two and he likes to rest his head on the raised edge, like a little pillow! So cute. Again, the material is super soft and comfortable, made from non looped fabric which is safe for kitty claws, and also machine washable to keep us hoomans happy.

Christmas in London: Premier Inn Southwark Tate Modern!

Monday 14 December 2015

Last month we hooked up with our good friend Steph of FAIIINT for a pre-Christmas London jaunt! The wonderful peeps at Premier Inn kindly put us up in their fab Southwark (Tate Modern) location for the night so we could relax into a girly catch up, complete with bridal dress fitting (yes Steph is making J's dress - squeee!) and cocktails at a central, warm and safe base.

The hotel itself was super easy to find and instantly agreeable. The staff were so lovely (we basically cleared the place of complimentary teabags without even so much as an eyebrow raise!), nothing was too much trouble. You know you're always going to get quality service and lovely clean rooms when you stay with Premier Inn, but this hotel is relatively new so we were treated to pristine surroundings! Speaking of surroundings, we were also majorly impressed to find a Tesco Express and Sainsburys Local literally across the road from the hotel entrance. So handy to grab a quick sandwich and a few drinks to have while we got ready to go out.

On Thursday I made my way to the Bath and Unwind HQ, in Bristol, for this month's Blog Club! Until recently, I had no idea they were Bristol-based so it was awesome to check out their new (dreamy) offices and finally get a chance to meet the team.

This month's Blog Club was Christmas themed and had a wonderful turnout! It was so great to meet lots of new bloggers (I had no idea there were so many local girls I hadn't met) and hang out with some of my old favourites. Sophie & Hayley are the founders of Blog Club and always put on such great events but this one was had an extra special sprinkling of festive cheer.

RUSH Hair Salon opens in Bristol!

Saturday 12 December 2015

A few weeks ago I made my way to the brand new RUSH salon in Bristol. I've been looking for a new local hairdressers for quite some time, I did use a popular salon chain until my stylist of over 5 years left & I wanted to find somewhere new! Like most women with long hair, I'm quite protective of my locks. I've never dyed them and I try to take care of my mane as much as I can, so when I get a hair cut, I tend to just get the ends chopped off to maintain it.

Upon arrival at RUSH, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and asked to take a seat. I was then introduced to my stylist, Laura. Laura asked what I was looking to have done and I explained I'm still trying to grow my fringe out for my wedding next year and just wanted everything neatened up.

Nike Roshe Red at Foot Locker

Foot Locker have just finished rolling out their Week Of Greatness featuring some exclusive drops from Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Asics and Vans, with appearances from Footballers Anthony Martial, Marcelo and Marouane Fellaini, Radio 1 star Monki, BMX legend Maxime Charveron, Olympic gold medallist Jan Frodeno, free runner Sebastien Foucan and Dutch B-Boy master Menno.

Tim was sent one of the exclusives from the featured Nike Monochrome Pack, some of Nike's most iconic styles all set to triple red. This colourway comes to life with a mix of textures, and the Roshe One (£69.99) looks amazing with it's mesh fabric upper contrasted with the rubber Swoosh and sole. These are one of Tim's fave styles, along with the Adidas ZX Flux, because they are so ridiculously comfortable, and can be worn with literally anything from denim, shorts and joggers.

New Look Ankle Boots

Monday 7 December 2015

I've finally got myself a new pair of everyday black ankle boots, hurrah! It should be one of the easiest things to update when the new season comes around but I've been dragging my feet (literally) for months because I couldn't commit to a style, until I saw these bad boys from New Look. These black square toe brogue boots were just £27.99, and it was actually the red version that caught my eye first, but the black won through in the end.

Last year I rushed into buying a much plainer pair of black round toed ankle boots and pretty much regretted it from the start. The heel was a bit higher and also brown, and I felt like they didn't go with anything I was wearing so I pretty much shelved them after a few weeks. This pair have that little bit of brogue detail which is really nice, and the heel is a much more comfortable height and most importantly, black! I'm really quite taken with this style, what do you think?

Bath and Unwind: Korres Pomegranate Moisturiser Review

Sunday 6 December 2015

When writing a review about a beauty product, I think it's really important to trial it for a decent amount of time before making a judgement. I've been using the Korres Pomegranate Balancing Moisturiser from Bath and Unwind for over 2 months now and I finally feel ready to confess my love for it. It's honestly the best moisturiser I've ever used. A bold claim, I know, but read on to discover why...

Korres Pomegranate Moisturiser

Korres Pomegranate Balancing Moisturiser

As I'm getting older, I worry more about what I'm putting on my skin. These days I'm always drawn to natural skin care products, like Korres! I'd previously read a few other positive Korres reviews, but wanted to try one of their products, firsthand. I always enjoy reading up on a company's back story, Korres originates from Greece and was set up almost a decade ago by George Korres, who when he was 8 years old, announced to his mother he would sell face creams when he grew up. Korres has become increasingly popular over the past few years & George is now living his dream!

I have sensitive combination skin so I've always struggled to find the perfect moisturiser... until now. The Korres Pomegranate Balancing Moisturiser contains natural Pomegranate extract (a super-food and has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries), so smells absolutely incredible. It so refreshing and leaves my skin feeling rejuvenated!

I apply this moisturiser once I've cleansed my skin by gently rubbing it into my face and neck. It has a wonderful consistency as it's lightweight (but powerful) and absorbs quickly into my skin. Impressively, a little goes a long way. It retails for £19 and I've used it every day for 2 months but I still have over half left! Magic. As it isn't greasy, it leaves a matte-like finish and my skin is silky smooth - ready for applying makeup. It has a pH neutral formulation so it's really gentle and contains no mineral oil, paraffin wax, alcohol or animal by-products, making it suitable for vegetarians and vegans! It also contains SPF.

Would I re-purchase it?

Hellz yeah! I'll definitely be buying this again! It works much better than its more expensive competitors. I'd recommend this to anyone with a similar skin type to me.

Are you a fan of natural skincare? Have you heard of Korres or Bath and Unwind?

T - Eyeing up the Black Pine Eye Cream!

This post was in collaboration with Bath & Unwind but all opinions are my own. Make sure you check out the full  Korres range here (prices start from just £3).

What's In My Boohoo.com Party Bag?

Friday 4 December 2015

We're taking part in the Boohoo.com What's In My Party Bag? Christmas feature, so they very kindly sent me this super cute Boohoo Boutique 'Emma' style to use as inspiration. She's a totally beaut, hinged flap box crossbody with ridic gold embellishment sat on a black leather look casing. I think this bag is around the £25 mark and it looks and feels a lot more than that so hurrah!

Anyhoo, as gorge as it is, it's also teeny, which is perfect for partying but I was a tad concerned about what I could fit in there! However, I am never one to be outdone so I set to playing Tetris inside and whaddya know, I'm good to go ;) So, what indeed is in my party bag?! . . .

  • Lippy - I'm obsessed with my new Max Factor Star Wars gold one right now, it's perf for the party season and the packaging looks straight up legit in my bag.
  • Perfume atomizer - This one is currently rocking Lolita Lempicka's Sweet which is super long lasting and a bit sexy if I do say so myself.
  • Nail polish - I'm usually really lazy and leave my nails until the last second, literally just that as I can often be found in a toilet cubicle giving them a quick frosting. Illamasqua's Hemlock is a dreamy iridescent pearly silver that dries in seconds and only needs 1 or 2 coats to look fab. In you go.
  • Hair Emergency Kit - I take my mini Denman brush and clear Invisibobble everywhere. My hair is super long and thick with a full fringe so it's prone to crapness at any time, especially if I'm dancing in a confined space. I couldn't be without these in my party bag.

Somewhere Under A Tree Far Far Away . . . A Very Star Wars Christmas!

Thursday 3 December 2015

There are amazing blogger gift guides everywhere, aimed at everyone, but I'm going to keep this one close to my heart - Star Wars. Many of you will know a Star Wars fan, but may not be a fan yourself meaning you just don't know what to throw your money at when it comes to choosing a gift as beautiful as Anakin's hair in Episode III. Well I'm here to help, having browsed literally every bit of new merch over the last few months in the run up to the release of The Force Awakens, so I think I'm pretty well qualified to make some suggestions :)

First up, let's kit out the ladies . . .

Recipient - The Padme. Totally into her fashion and beauty, yet perfectly comfortable nerding it out in Forbidden Planet inspecting the paintwork on Black Series figures (I may be describing someone I know here - ahem).

Star Wars The Force Awakens Christmas Gift Guide Nixon Adidas Eleven Paris Max Factor

Eleven Paris Robot Sweatshirt - £80 at VeryExclusive. If you have the cash to drop, definitely go with something from Eleven Paris's amazing Star Wars inspired range, and this is probably my fave piece. R2 is adorable and this sweater is more chic over childish.

Max Factor Star Wars Make-Up - Exclusively at Boots from 11th December. I nabbed the gold lippy and the mascara last week in the flash sale, and yes, it was basically for the packaging, but I HAD to have them! Indulge her inner Jedi, Droid or Mystic and treat her to a lippy from the Dark Side!

Captain Phasma Voice Changing Mask - £20.95 at Disney Store. Phasma, played by the fabulous Gwendoline Christie, is the most exciting character in the series yet for us girls. She's pure awesomeness in a shiny wrapper. I would literally punt an Ewok for this under my tree. Okay that was harsh. I'd maybe growl at one. But not a baby one.

Star Wars Stormtrooper Drop Earrings - £26.99 at Truffle Shuffle. Gosh, these are just beaut. A very discreet design worthy of a Jedi Princess.

And now to the boys . . .

Recipient - The Poe. His fate is forever intertwined with this epic saga, and sometimes you just have to embrace that and use the Force when gifting him.

Star Wars The Force Awakens Christmas Gift Guide Nixon Adidas Eleven Paris Max Factor

The Nixon x Star Wars range of watches, bags, wallets and belts are to die for. The details are so discreet and cool that from a distance you'd be forgiven for not noticing the Lucas connection. The Unit SW 44mm watch is based on fan favourite Boba Fett and costs £150 (so not too pricey considering prices go up to £2125!) and cooler than the man himself. Actually who am I kidding, nothing is ever that cool.

The Adidas mi ZX Flux - Star Wars range starts at £90 and lets you fully customise the already awesome ZX Flux style (Timmy's faves). It's so much fun, with so many options to choose from. Practice saying, 'I know', because he'll be sure to be shouting about how much he loves you when he opens these.

Moleskine Limited Edition Kylo Ren Notebook - £18.99. Last Christmas I weaned my man off his battered old Filofax (yes he's THAT old school!) and onto a Moleskine 18 Month Planner by simply getting him one with Luke Skywalker on it. These pieces are super stylish and functional must have's for the busy bearded ones.

Star Wars: Thumb Doodles - £6.99 from Forbidden Planet. This is too much fun, get artistic and relax like Jabba with this good time book for big kids!

So there you have it, a super Star Wars Christmas for all! I hope I've given you some ideas for the Jedi in your life, I know I'm definitely lusting after some Nixon for both of us!

Ilex London: Luxury Leather Bags

Wednesday 2 December 2015

I wore this outfit when I went to get my hair cut at the weekend, it's just one of those everyday casual looks which I feel most comfortable in. I'll be writing about the salon I got my hair cut later on in the week but gosh am I in love with my new 'do'! I can't wait to grow it a little longer so it'll be perfect for the wedding.

Today's ensemble features an awesome across the body bag from boutique brand, Ilex London. Their bags are designed inhouse, made with the highest quality leather and are quintessentially English. They have a wide collection of timeless pieces suitable for all seasons and occasions, but I love this simple design.

70s Flares and Christmas Jumpers!

Tuesday 1 December 2015

Today's post is a blast from the past... I feel like Jackie from 'That 70s Show' in these awesome flares! I haven't worn flares since the early 00s when my life was all about Britney Spears in those lace up Frankie B jeans.

I've been keen to try a pair of flares since the spring when the 70s trend came back into our wardrobes. This uber comfortable pair are from F&F and an absolute steal at only £11. I'm a bit of a jeans snob (I love premium denim) but I have a weakness for F&F jeans because they are always so comfortable and wash really well.

House Of Fraser #SecretStylist Blogger Secret Santa! #yourrules

Monday 30 November 2015

The fab House Of Fraser have been helping a few of us bloggers play Secret Santa, giving us the run of the Jewellery dept to select a piece of their beaut designer treats for our designated blogger, using our eyes and wits to find out what we can about them in order to choose something perfect!

I found it really easy to do mine because I was luckily allocated a chick who is already a very good friend so I was pretty confident that I could put a smile on her face, but I imagine it must've been quite hard to choose for someone you don't know, or (GASP!) whose blog you have never read before :) Anyhoo, it turns out that my #SecretStylist was the lovely Natalie of Le Blow, and I don't know if she knew anything about me before getting the task, but boy did she nail it!

I literally squealed when I opened this amazing Biba leopard leather wrap bracelet! I had spied it when I was browsing for my own pick, and OBVS it caught my eye with all it's leopard and gold goodness (basically my life neutrals), but I actually never thought it would end up on my wrist. For some reason I assumed that they would choose some Ted Baker as we have recently featured one of their pieces on the blog and it's a pretty safe bet. I'm so glad that Natalie noticed my love for leo and went for it! Isn't it rawrsome?

Vidal Sassoon Infra Radiance Hot Air Styler!

Wednesday 25 November 2015

We're all about the beauty electricals in the run up to Christmas, there's always something new to covet in the constant search for the next perf plug in! I was recently sent the Vidal Sassoon Infra Radiance Hot Air Styler (£34.99) to try out, and boy was it welcomed with open arms. I don't own a hot air styler, and as an unruly fringe owner I was intrigued to see if it could make life easier!

This is a multi-tasking tool designed to dry and style your hair in one go, perfect for those early morning starts, and it has a gazillion features for something that retails at just under £35 . . .

  • 38mm thermal brush with protective cover.
  • 700w power.
  • Infrared and Tourmaline Ionic technology to deliver more heat in a more even, kinder manner whilst smoothing the cuticles.
  • Rubberised handle for easy grip.
  • Nylon bristles for a sleek finish.
  • Curl release button.
  • 2 heat settings and 2 speed settings.
  • Cool shot button.
  • Swivel cord for freedom of movement.
  • 2 year guarantee.

Vidal Sassoon Infra Radiance Hot Air Styler

Vidal Sassoon Infra Radiance Hot Air Styler

Vidal Sassoon Infra Radiance Hot Air Styler

It's really easy to use, lightweight and fun to wield. I have thick, heavy, very long hair and I wasn't expecting it to do the whole job from scratch so I gave the roots and ends a quick blast with my hairdryer first so my hair wasn't shower wet. I then lightly spritzed my hair with OSMO Root Lifter, one of my fave volume creating products, before setting to work with the styler.

OSMO Extreme Volume Root Lifter

Vidal Sassoon Infra Radiance Hot Air Styler

It most definitely made quick work of my fringe. I was able to get the straight and smooth look that I struggle for when using a round brush and a hairdryer. It's usually either too bouncy and turned under, but if I use straighteners it's then too straight, but this was just Goldilocks and helped me achieve a pretty perfect side sweep in no time at all. As for the rest of my mane, the styler swept through the length as if I was brushing it. There was no tangling, even when I threw my head forward and tried to get a bit more volume at the roots. I also used the top heat setting and there was no sign of overheating at all, despite powering through for around 15 minutes. I finished with a cool shot and my hair looked and felt really sleek and healthy.

I think this styler would be ideal for shorter hair than mine, as I wouldn't really want to use it on my whole head from towel dry. It could probably handle it but it would take a bit longer than I'd like to spend on it. My friend has a really cute bob so she tried it when she popped round and got some really good voluminous, shiny results with just a bit of product sprayed onto dry hair, so it would be super convenient for someone like her!

Overall, I think the Vidal Sassoon Infra Radiance Hot Air Styler is a great product for the price and a fab stocking filler for anyone (it's also been featured in BlackHair Magazine in case you were wondering if it was suitable for Afro Caribbean or multi-textured hair) as it has so many functions and features!

Stockists include Very.co.uk, Amazon, Boots, Tesco and Asda.

Winter Warming Gifts - Charlotte & Co. Cotton Pyjamas!

Saturday 21 November 2015

I think everyone enjoys the 'new PJ's on Christmas Eve' tradition, no matter what your age. I have an aunty that specifically buys me a yummy new pair every year so I can open them on Christmas Eve and go full festive, and I'm nearly 21 (ahem)!

Charlotte & Co. is a niche homeware label that hails from the beautiful Cotswolds. Each piece is designed by Charlotte herself who specialises in comfortable chic, and sold exclusively online/by mail order. The AW15 collection is all about long winter nights, featuring fab prints and soothingly soft fabrics that you'll love. The brushed cotton flannel pyjamas have a lot of fans and have developed cult status, so it was with open arms that I welcomed a beaut pair in the 'Flower' print into my bedroom for a show and tell.

Every order comes with a cute satin travel bag which is such a nice touch! The ladies cotton pyjamas are £48 each or £75 for 2 pairs and come in sizes 10 through to 18. To the pics! . .

Charlotte & Co. Brushed Cotton Pyjamas

The brushed cotton is just the softest and feels amazing against your skin, warm yet cool at the same time. I have a few pairs of PJ's that I love because they are so cozy but boy will they whip up a heat storm as soon as I so much as light a scented candle! £48 might sound expensive at first, but you are definitely paying for quality here and it's no different to what you'd pay for any designer brand so I'm completely down with the price.

This particular pattern is so pretty and feminine. I think they'd work well for any age range too, I know I'd gift them to a friend's teenage daughter, any of my own gal pals, through to T's mum and even onto my mum's elderly neighbour. They're so versatile. I love the classic piping trim in baby pink, the finish is spot on.

I think anyone would feel lucky to receive a pair of these Charlotte & Co. jammies this Christmas. You might even spark an obsession in someone. I know I love being introduced to an amazing new brand via gifting because it's so nice when people think outside the box and I personally try to surprise my recipients as much as I can, it keeps them on their toes :)

Huge thanks to Charlotte & Co. for the beautiful gift of cosiness!

People Make Glasgow: A City Guide - Part 2

Friday 20 November 2015

It's time for the second installment of my Glasgow city guide! Last month I caught a plane from Bristol to Scotland for the Scottish Style Awards 2015. I've visited Edinburgh a few times in the past but this was my first time in Glasgow. We had a packed itinerary (you can read what I did earlier on in the day, here) and on Saturday night we made our way to the beautiful Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum for the style awards.

The awards were held to honour Scotland's most stylish restaurants, businesses and individuals. Dubbed as 'Scotland's most stylish night of the year', it didn't disappoint... and the food was incredible. As it was the 10th year of the awards, it was even bigger and better than ever before! The host of the show was the beautiful Sophie Kennedy Clark, an incredible actress and all-round total babe. We had such a fun evening being wined and dined.

Festive Bedding: Graphic Prints and Winter Warmers

Thursday 19 November 2015

Hands up if you love festive bedding! I am such a sucker for new bedding at this time of year, I genuinely raid all the affordable homeware stores and stock up for the winter. My latest set is this rather awesome photographic stag duvet cover from George. Cuuuute, right? I tend to opt for girly bedding but Sam is a real man's man so I figured he'd also love this one. Which he does.

The price is just ridiculous. A mere £15 for a double. I know. They also have other fierce digitally printed bedding sets including a polar bear and a wolf! Let me just tell how good the quality is, I've seen similar styles in Primark but when you get up close they just don't compare. The prints on the Primark ones are all blurry and the material is thin - unlike the George sets.

Debenhams Partywear For Less Than £100

Wednesday 18 November 2015

Christmas party season is approaching and at Rawr Towers we're busy planning our outfits. I completely agree with the statement, 'you can never be overdressed' and I'm always up for wearing sparkly partywear dresses, but this Christmas I wanted to challenge myself to try something a bit different.

So here's the truth, I tend to wear multiple frocks during the festive season but I never really opt for separates. So this year I wanted to create a smart casual Christmas appropriate outfit which I could wear again... and I'm pretty chuffed with the outcome! Debenhams have a wide range of occasion wear and I remember spotting this silver sequin skirt months back while I was browsing in store.

I'm starting to buy Christmas gifts and as we're being focusing on saving as much as possible for our wedding next year, I'm all about savvy purchases. Everything I buy needs to be discounted... But is it sale time yet? Thankfully at LovetheSales.com, it's always sale time!

If you haven't used this website before, it's absolutely awesome, you can monitor your favourite shops and brands (hello email alerts), save your sizes and search by discount. There are also special member only prices - membership is absolutely free and it takes about 30 seconds to sign up - but it isn't necessary. I've got a list of my favourites just in case there is a new Banana Republic, Senso, Wildfox, Free People or Reiss sale.

They stock homeware, beauty, electricals and clothing, including menswear! I'm always looking for sale bargains for Sam so when I spotted their selection of Reiss menswear, I was interested. He still hasn't found a suit for our wedding and they have some really dapper tailored pieces on offer.

Pertz Leggings - The Shape Of Feeling Good!

Monday 16 November 2015

Leggings. We all have them in some form of another, some of us wear them everyday with everything, others like me keep them for down days when I want a bit of comfort, but I think we'll all agree that finding a good pair that you actually enjoy wearing can be a chore?!

I was recently sent a pair of Pertz leggings to style up. I'd not heard of the brand before, but a quick scan of their webby got me all intrigued. Pertz was founded by creator Caroline who designed her own after a struggle to find a pair that had everything she wanted. After 18 months of design, research and development, Pertz Leggings were born! The promises of muffin top limitation, tummy control panels and a pert bottom were too good to pass up, so I had to try a pair for myself . . .

Outfit: Sweater dress - Somedays Lovin', Leggings - c/o Pertz, Boots - Dune, Bag - Whistles, Scarf - Becksondergaard.

Johnny Loves Rosie are one of our fave jewellery and accessory brands. They've been going for years yet somehow stay just as fresh and current with each new drop as if they've only just popped up on our radars. Their quirky style and fun but glam designs are often imitated but never duplicated, and the new lines for the party season certainly don't disappoint. Check out the candy cane necklace, and that leopard print hair bow?! Squeeeeee!

#AWsomeGeorge Winter Warmers!

Thursday 12 November 2015

George at Asda recently treated us to a few cosy treats from the new George Home AW range, think festive cushions and bedding, with beaut throws and trinkets to make any house a welcoming home this season!

I'm all about monogrammed pieces. Basically if it has a J or a T (Tim, not Tara haha!) on it, then I'm on it, so I was totally stoked to get these red tapestry letter cushions (£5 each) and gorgeous grey letter throws (£12 each) to adorn this fab 'Baby it's cold outside . . .' bedding (£18 for King). It looks amazing on our bed, that perfect mix of winter greys and crisp white with a flash of Santa red! As you can see, my cat Logan also took a shine to it as I was taking pics. He's a bit of a poser so I let him get comfy and stay while I snapped away, I think he adds even more to the look with his dark handsome looks!

The cushions are just adorable, and just the right size to even spell out a few words if you fancied it! The throws are super soft and really quite lovely for the £12 price. They'd make a fab gift for anyone like me who is obsessed with their initial! I pretty much get most of my bedding from George anyway, it's always good quality for the price and the designs are always super hot for the season, I like the reversible nature of this one, with the plain mini snowflake pattern on the underside for that throwback flourish.

I'm already hooked on having a nose at the new stuff in the Home aisles every time I have an Asda trip lunch break. There are some absolutely amazing little bits and pieces you can pick up for a few pounds that will give your room an instant winter makeover, it's definitely worth a trip to your local store!
