If you don't own any basic tees from American Vintage, you are missing out. I was first introduced to the brand about 2 years ago and I've never met a softer t-shirt! Our friends at The Dressing Room sent me a selection of Massachusetts and Jacksonville tees to style and review, and I've featured my favourite 3 below.
American Vintage Massachusetts Long Sleeve Tee via The Dressing Room - Necklace: Accessorize - Trousers: Oasis - Shoes: Next - Hat: H&M
I opted for a size small in all of the t-shirts I'm wearing and this long sleeve Massachusetts tee looks absolutely tiny on the hanger but it's really stretchy when you put it on. It comes in a wide selection of colours but this gorgeous shade is called Rhubarb. Tasty. It feels incredible on, I told my awesome blogtographer that when I was wearing it I felt as if I was being given a hug... It's probably the nicest thing I've ever put on my skin! It is very sheer so I wore it over a nude vest but it's great for layering. If I was rating these tops purely on comfort, this would win hands down. I think this look is pretty Autumnal but I'm so ready to embrace September.
American Vintage Jacksonville Long Sleeve Tee via The Dressing Room (c/o) - Jeans: Wildfox - Necklace & Sandals: New Look
My second look is what I would call, 'classic Tara'. It's really casual, simple and perfect for wearing out to lunch or for hitting the shops. The Jacksonville long sleeve tee has a deep v neck and loose fit. It's a little bigger than the Massachusetts style and just perfect if you ask me. Again, it's very soft and feels lovely on but isn't quite as sheer (however you could easily layer it if it's a bit too low for your liking). The Oak colour is very Autumn/Winter and it would look rawrsome under my new Banana Republic leather jacket. I love the cut and I want it in every colour!
Jacksonville Short Sleeve Tee - Skirt: ASOS - Necklace: Eclectic Eccentricity (c/o) - Bracelets: Tokyo Jane - Hat: Anthropologie
My third and final look is probably my favourite. I tucked the short sleeve Jacksonville t-shirt into my ripped denim skirt and threw on a pair of sandals to create a cute, casual vibe! The tee itself has quite a loose A line fit so would look great with a normal pair of jeans, but I also like it styled this way. The Agate colour is beautiful, it's the perfect transitional shade. I think I could probably size down in the Jacksonville shirts because of the generous fit.
Have you heard of American Vintage before? Which outfit is your favourite?
T - Très impressed!
I love the Rhubarb colour on you but style-wise I think I prefer the long-sleeved Jacksonville. It looks so comfy and cosy! I'm just looking on the website now. The grey one is lovely! :) xx
