As soon as I stepped into the store I was in wardrobe aspiration heaven. Furs, leathers, animal prints, sequins, studs and knits covered the rails. Winter fashion is my fave; I love heavy, cosy fabrics and the gorgeous eveningwear of the party season. Luckily, I didn't have to reign myself in because as a fun feature of the evening we could style outfits, try anything on, have our hair and make up tweaked by a pro MUA then have our photo taken by a professional photographer in The Editeur's very own photo studio - SQUEEEEE?! As you can imagine, it was blogger heaven! I wandered the rails chatting with long time Twitter friend Stephanie from The Girl From The North West and discussed mix and match options with Jessica from Fashion Mix Bag and Gemma from GemmaSatire - fun times!
I immediately made a beeline for a grey £300+ Pinko fur knit wrap. It was so luxurious, I felt like JLo! To give it a casual spin I paired it with a pair of already much coveted Current Elliott Grey Leopard skinnies - £200. I could totally see myself rocking this on a cold day, it's just my kind of look :) For my second outfit, I decided to take on something that I wouldn't normally wear, we were there for an experience after all! This deep blue Patrizia Pepe Drape Jersey dress - £170, is super tight, low cut and everything I wouldn't normally pick . . . so I grabbed it and worked it OUT!
The whole night was just TOO much fun, and to top it all off we were given a really generous goodybag on the way out containing a fierce ChloBo Ice Pop bracelet (to be seen in a future post soon!), a beautiful Laura Apsit Livens hair accessory (again, eyes out for that one too!), Wolford hosiery (my first pair!) a selection of hair products, and super glossy lookbooks from the store's featured designers!
And of course, it wouldn't be a blogger event post without a cupcake review so check these bad boys out! They were seriously the nicest cupcakes I've ever tasted, and I think we all snaffled a few for the journey home!
I grew up shopping with my mum in Chester's hidden ladies designerwear boutiques and we knew exactly where to find all the gems on the Rows, but as time went by they all disappeared one by one, leaving Chester with an average high street sadly lacking in designer independents where you could find something amazing for a special occasion, or just treat yourself to something pretty. The Editeur has brought ladies designerwear back to Chester with a bang, and their AW12 stock is shaping up to make it another successful season in the boutique and online store, hurrah!
So finally, a huge thanks goes out to the awesome team at The Editeur for making the #EditeurAtLarge event so much fun, with special thanks going to Sarah for making me smile all night with obscure Prince album tracks on the party playlist ;) Thankyoooooou!

Ikr?! What I love about the store is how friendly everyone is, like normally that's the kind of designer store that I would feel out of sorts going into because I rarely spend over £200 on an item, but it's such a welcoming place! Yey!
