My denim wardrobe (yes I have a separate one for denim haha) is home to a couple of styles that I'll realistically never wear again. So I decided to sacrifice these Paper Denim & Cloth jeans (whatever happened to them!?) in the hope of giving them a new lease of life.
All I needed was a new pair of scissors, a scalpel (although you can use scissors), pliers & studs! I already had a huge bag of studs I bought a year ago so I was good to go. Here are the results...
Overall, I'm pretty chuffed. I wanted to keep them long-ish because I don't like teeny tiny shorts but I think I could maybe go an inch shorter without exposing my goodies.
The studding took quite a while because I'm such a perfectionist. I know it isn't flawless but they are super tricky to align. I watched a couple of DIY videos where the studding was way off so I didn't do too bad.
I'm planning on raiding a few charity shops tomorrow for old Levi's & white jeans. If I snag a pair of white jeans I'm going to dip-dye them (& stud some more). If anyone's interested I will blog about them too.
What do you guys think? They look okay for a first attempt, right!?
I'm gonna keep practising until my shorts are the next Runwaydreamz ;) T XoX
I love them! Definiely gonna try some of my own DIY-ing st some point!
