31 Day Fashion Blogger Challenge - Day 7 - A Special Occasion Outfit....

What I'm starting to love about this challenge is that you can use old pics, which always bring out some sort of emotion in you. For me, old pics of myself usually invoke laughter, or a bit of a rage because I look skinny. I also think it might be cool for you guys to see what I was like pre-blogger. For today's challenge, I'm using an outfit from the masquerade ball we went to for New Year 2008 because it's still one of my fave occasion outfits of all time, and yes, probably because I got to wear a sequinned cat mask ;)



I was going for a Princess Kitty theme. The dress was Alice McCall for Topshop and I adored it so much but literally couldn't breathe in it, the top section was so tight on my chest I think I bust the zip at one point and had to be zipped back into it in the toilets. Classy. The silver leather gloves came off as soon as we entered the party, to this day I still have no clue why I thought they were necessary, maybe for my theme, but do panto-esque cats even wear gloves?! And the pink glitter heels are Office, I still wear those heels now, but for work. How times change.

I loved the little crown slide. It's from Chapeau Claudette and it was named Blair. As a massive Gossip Girl fan I knew it would set off my Princess Kitty look perfectly and I still have it now :)

So that's my special occasion outfit, an oldie but a goodie, in a let's play dress up way.
