New Outfit Post! Great Plains AW13 Seattle Pleather Jacket.

Thursday 3 October 2013

The weather is getting cooler but it's not yet cold enough for faux fur and woolly hats. Over the past few weeks I've been wearing my leather/faux leather jackets while I still can! I have a few different ones but new additions to the family are always welcome, check out my latest baby...

I think faux leather jackets are brilliant these days, it's sometimes impossible to tell them apart from the real leather ones. This yummy seattle pleather jacket is from Great Plains, a brand I wasn't that familiar with until recently! It's part of French Connection so rather unsurprisingly, it's also pretty darn stylish. I spotted lots of nice Autumn/Winter pieces when I was browsing their site but this jacket was my favourite and the most 'me'.

To give you an idea of sizing, mine is a size small which is a 10. I do usually take a size 8 in jackets so this is slightly roomy on me but I wanted space to put knitwear under it! It has a lovely satin lining and it's great quality, much better than my old faux leather Topshop biker. I paired it with my tartan trousers from Primark (a bargain at £13ish), fedora and Becksondergaard scarf for a rather Autumnal look.

I've also had a bit of a fringe trim, I think it'll take a while for me to get used to having my brows on display again! I feel so exposed now I've ran out of Brow Zings haha. If you're wondering if I'll ever take this hat off, the answer is no. No I won't.

Have you shopped at Great Plains before? Are you a fan of faux leather?

  1. I've got a shirt from Great Plains and I think they have some lovely items. This jacket reminds me of one I've got with black sheep skin - faux as well, still a bit too warm to wear it though :o). Xx

  11. I always feel the same after a fringe trim - that's the beauty of having one as unruly brows can be hidden from public view!
