Cabot Circus: Summer Food Festival

A few weeks back I attended the 'Summer of Food Festival' blogger Safari Supper Club dinner at Cabot Circus, where I was invited to enjoy a different course at three different restaurants, along with four other Bristol bloggers! Never one to turn down a free meal, I made my way to the Bristol shopping centre for good food, friendship and cocktails.

First up, we headed to Zizzi's for starters. We were greeted with a selection of their finest nibbles, which we washed down with prosecco. I've been to Zizzi's lots of times but believe it or not, I'd never tried their starters before. It was so much fun to meet some new bloggers and catch up with a couple of favourites over food. I absolutely devoured the garlic bread - heavenly slices of bread brushed with garlic butter & rosemary - while the other girls tucked into the arancini and other tasty bites. I think everyone can appreciate a good sharing board. Am I right!?

For mains and cocktails, we headed to Chimichangas! The decor gave me serious interior goals and the staff were just lovely. I opted for a Pina Colada and some sizzling fajitas. Classic. I'd never been to this restaurant before but boy oh boy, the food was absolutely delicious. I'm 100% heading back here, I usually go to TGI Friday's for fajitas but I think I have a new favourite eatery in Cabot. Which is kind of a big deal.

It was then time for our last course, dessert at Frankie & Benny's. The lovely PR girls had to pretty much roll me out of the restaurant because I was so stuffed after my main meal. Making room for afters is one of my super powers, so using my crazy skills, I squeezed in some brownies and ice cream. Served by Natalia (best waitress EVER), I tucked into this little cake-y masterpiece.

As part of the Summer Food Festival, Cabot Circus have a selection of super offers and discounts available on the Cabot Circus Plus App. I've had the app for a long time, it often has awesome giveaways (you can currently win a whole year's worth of Wagamama) and it's a really handy way to look for food offers because let's face it, who doesn't love a bargain!?

If you're based in Bristol/the South West and are a frequent Cabot Circus shopper, you can get the app from the Cabot Circus website or from the Google Play/App Store. Once you're registered, you simply show your chosen food offer to your waiter or waitress, they scan the QR code and VOILA! You've saved a few extra pounds so you can justify shopping more. A-hem.
