Champneys: A Little Something Special

Saturday 5 March 2016

With tomorrow being Mother's Day, I wanted to schedule in a quick post for those last minute shoppers who will be heading out first thing in the morning to buy their mum a gift! My mum loves nothing more than flowers & beauty products, so I can confidently say I think I've nailed it this year. Ahaha.

Everyone knows about Champneys spas, they are relaxing, luxe & oh so popular because they're run to such a high standard. Although I couldn't quite stretch to a spa break this year, I'm still able to give my mum that 'spa experience' thanks to their new Champneys 'A Little Something Special' collection.

Champneys: A Little Something Special (c/o)

This nicely presented gift set is crammed with some beautiful body care products in two wonderful scents - Citrus Blush and Summer Dream, to treat the senses. These summery scents (including lemon, orange, peach & mango) will hopefully help my mum create her own perfect spa moment... for a fraction of the price.

Included in the box is:
  • Citrus Blush Enlivening Daily Scrub (250ml)
  • Citrus Blush Enlivening Shower Cream (350ml)
  • Summer Dream Rewarding Bubble Heaven (500ml)
  • Citrus Blush Enlivening Body Lotion (350ml)
  • Summer Dream Rewarding Candle

The contents are worth £47.50 but I spotted it at Boots for just £15 and as their candles alone retail for £12.50, this is total bargain. I'm a little bit tempted to buy one for myself! If you're lucky enough to still have your mum with you (or a surrogate mum), here are my top tips for spoiling her on Mother's Day:

Treat her to afternoon tea

This is what we'll be getting up to tomorrow! I've been on a strict wedding diet but tomorrow I'm throwing caution into the wind and treating my mum to a delicious afternoon tea. Afternoon tea is one of her favourite activities and thankfully it isn't too expensive either!

Give her a bouquet of her favourite flowers

No supermarket flowers here, thanks very much. I treated my mum to a beautiful hand-picked bouquet from Tilly Tomlinson Flowers in Bristol. If you're Bristol based and still need flowers, I thoroughly recommend them! I bought a beautiful bunch for just £25 and like look amazing.

Cook for her - or take her out for a meal

Mums spend years cooking for us as we grow up but we rarely cook for them (sorry Sange). Tomorrow, rustle up her favourite meal or take her out to her most loved restaurant to say thank you.

Personalised illustration

Personalised gifts are the most heartfelt, so why not order a custom illustration? Suggested themes include a comic book strip, a sketched version of a happy photo or even just an illustration of her favourite things (including you). The wonderfully talented Carly Watts created an epic customised piece of art for me a year or so ago & her prices are so reasonable.

Do you have plans for Mother's Day? What are you giving your mum?

T - Looking forward to the cake.
