Palmer's Manuka Flower Honey Formula Haircare

Thursday 11 February 2016

When you hear 'Palmer's' you probably immediately think of their famous cocoa butter formula because it's one of the most well known skincare brands on the shelf, but Palmer's haircare? And Palmer's Manuka Honey formula? Say whaaaaaaaat?! Well then, let's have a closer look!

Palmer's Manuka Flower Honey Formula haircare

Palmer's natural Manuka Flower Honey is harvested directly from New Zealand. This super moisturising, natural anti-bacterial ingredient helps promote healthy, protected hair and scalp. The range is sulfate, paraben and phthalates free too.

We were sent both the shampoo and conditioner (£6.99 each) to try out for ourselves (and you!). Both contain Amla Oil, Cocoa and Shea Butter and are jam packed with vitamins, conditioning and strengthening ingredients. The shampoo has a lush consistency and lathers nicely. The conditioner is satisfyingly thick and creamy. The smell from both is beaut, that familiar Palmer's cocoa butter is in there, but with a sweet scent of honey - yum! Hair is left noticeably silky after one wash, even without the conditioner, however I do think it would do better on coarser hair than mine as I did notice that my fringe felt heavy and separated as the day wore on, so this is super moisturising stuff. Tara on the other hand adores it, stating that she's 100% going to purchase the range again. Her hair is a tad drier than mine and she also uses straighteners a lot, so her locks are loving the special treatment! It's colour safe too, so I imagine it would be top banana on dyed hair that may also suffer from a touch of dryness.

The Finishing Hair Oil (£5.49) can be used on damp hair before blowdrying, for an extra smooth finish. I think it would last an age because a teeny bit goes a long way, and it definitely does the job. I applied it to my splitting ends (urghhhhh!) and it smoothed them down for a sleeker look, fine holiday fun and a nice addition to the range.

This range would also make fab holiday haircare, I can just smell the honey/cocoa butter scent drying in the sun, and you'd defo get that holiday memory feeling when you got home, siiiiiigggghhhhhhhhh . . .

You can find the range on Amazon and in Superdrug. Go get some busy bees!
