It's been a long time since I showed up at the University of Liverpool for my first day as a student, fluffy pen in hand thinking I was the Elle Woods of the English degree world, but I still miss that place and there will always be a special place in my heart for my uni days.

Liverpool is definitely one of the best student cities in the UK, and in true Scouse form, on 30th September Liverpool ONE are welcoming the country's bright future with open arms in the form of an amazing shopping event! JEALZ.

With all this in mind I've put together a little shopping wishlist of stuff I think you should look out for. In other words, my old ass is shopping vicariously through you guys, just let me live it okay? 

So yes, this is a fashion blog, but I'm not going to go all Toppers and Hollister on you *cough* even if they are giving out discounts on the day *cough*, because style is personal and you know what you're doing there I'm sure. These ideas are purely the essentials for student living . . .

• Yes, that is a Carmen Electra stripper pole from Ann Summers, and you'd get 20% off so it works out at just £80. MATHS. It holds up to 200lbs, so there's no excuse for everybody to have a go, visiting dads included. 
• A strong mug game should be established in the student household from the get go, so I'd invest in something a bit hipster from Urban Outfitters with my 20% off.
• Claire's Accessories is offering a whopping 25% off when you flash your id, so take full advantage of this and nab some Halloween bits. If I learnt anything at uni, it was that preparation is everything.
• Men, here's the thing. Liverpool girls are ALL about the grey trackies, so do yourself a favour and grab a pair from Nike with 20% off. You're welcome.
• It's obligatory to use that 20% Paperchase discount right? So why not treat the gang to some Reward Stickers? Guaranteed to get those allocated chores done a bit quicker (Congrats Ellie, that kettle de-scaling was 'Magical') Or maybe some scented pens for yourself? I wrote my CV cover letter in scented pen once and got the job. True story.
• Finally, bring home something to dance it out to when things get tough. HMV are offering 10% off and we recommend The Weeknd.
