A few weeks back I had a Hippy Club clip in extension fitting at Voodou on Bold Street, one of Liverpool's premier salons. The fab Marleen gave me the rundown on the Hippy Club brand, matched my colour perfectly (#2) then showed me how to fit them. I'm by no means a newbie to clip ins, but I did pick up some useful tips and styling ideas (such as wearing them overnight in braids for mussed up mermaid hair in the morning - genius!) I also picked up a Hippy Club Festival Hair Trinket (£10) which is so cute, you just clip it into your hair underneath and ta daaa, instant VHudge ;)
What I love about this brand is the blend of both colour and texture, it's literally perfect and suits my naturally wavy hair to a tee. Obviously my hair is super long as it is so I'm not looking for length from extensions, for me volume is key. I adore big, thick and wavy, messed up get up and go hair. I can kind of achieve this with my own hair but it's hardly get up and go because it takes a fair bit of product and blowing to get the volume needed for an all out boho mane. These clip ins take 5-10 mins to fit yourself and boom, instant lions mane complete with waves and highlights. In fact, the more you wear them, the more they actually look like your own hair, I swear they 'learn' or something!

This is the view from the back to show you the colour match. My hair will never be super sleek and shiny when I do it myself (it's rare anyway and when it does happen, it lasts for 10 minutes!), so at home I just go with the wave and enjoy a rough ends layered look. Having a half Chinese mum and a ginger dad means I have this very dark brown hair that lifts to auburn on the ends in the summer, but the #2 shade still manages to look seamless. I've had dark brown extensions before they tend to sit under my hair looking obvious because the colour is too flat, I think you'll agree that you can barely tell I have clip ins in here?!
This particular set of Hippy Club 22" clip in extensions would set you back £95 but are 100% worth it in my opinion, they have totally become part of my weekend routine. You must check out the webby, they don't just do clip ins and the colours and styles available are incred (the ombre style has recently been seen on blogger babe Sara of Waiste). If you have a local stockist do pop in and get a consultation, it was so helpful to watch a pro work with them.
Also fellow bloggers, Hippy Club has been tweeting for brand ambassadors to work with them at festivals, so if your festival summer hasn't ended just yet then seek them out at @hippyclub and see what comes up!
