Happy belated National Friendship Day! To celebrate National Friendship Day last month, Jade (with a little help) treated me to a dress from Lands' End. She knows my style really well and I was super excited when this beautiful bohemian sun dress turned up!
It's a lovely lightweight frock which looks like it belongs in Anthropologie rather than Lands' End. I think they are going through a bit of an image change at the moment, in the past if someone mentioned Lands' End to me I would've instantly thought of wool and cashmere jumpers for mature women, but my perception has completely changed after seeing this. They have some wonderful statement pieces (hello denim shirt dress) which tie in with the traditional knitwear and outerwear you would expect.
My only criticism of this dress is the size. If this is a size 8 then I'm officially shrinking (a girl can dream). I paired it with a belt in an attempt to cinch it in at the waist but I have inches of space around my chest. ARGH. This 8 is more like a decent size 10. I'm not sure if this dodgy sizing is a one off or if oversized is just their 'thing'. I still love it but I definitely need to get it altered (which might not be possible due to an annoying zip at the side) or gift it to a friend with a rack. SIGH... I want the size the model is wearing in the picture!
In other news, thank you to everyone who voted for us in the House of Fraser competition! Sadly we missed out by a few retweets (we didn't realise it ended on Friday) but we were overwhelmed by the love we received from you guys! You've all made it onto our virtual Christmas card list. If you fancy winning a £500 gift card to spend at Superdry (2 words - LEATHER JACKETS) then enter our awesome blog competition. We currently have zero entries so at the moment so the chances of winning are... HIGH.
T - Have you heard of Lands' End before? Let me know what you think of this dress. ♥
