Bathroom Of Soap & Glory!

Monday 9 February 2015

So I didn't realise how obsessed with Soap & Glory I was until I did a quick head count in my bathroom last week. 13, count 'em, 13 S&G products currently live in there, so I figured I had to do a show and tell highlighting my faves!

First up, the shower/bath products. These guys are the long term repeat buys that I can't live without. The Scrub Of Your Life (£7) is the only body scrub that tones down the nasty bumps on the backs of my arms, but it's The Breakfast Scrub (£8) that takes top spot for me, some find it a bit harsh but I have body skin like an elephant if I don't pay it attention so it works perfectly for me, plus I adore the smell! Then there's Clean On Me (£6), a sweet scented yummy shower/bath cream that both I and Timmy use on a daily basis, and the massive bottle still lasts for ages because you don't need a lot to lather up!

Next up are the aftercare products. I've used Girligo (£6), the classic moisturising mist, since forever. I think it was one of the first S&G products I bought and I always go back to it. It's perfect for spraying onto damp skin after a shower or bath and the scent is divine! When I want something a bit more luxurious I slather on The Righteous Butter (£10.50), this one always makes my man comment on how soft my skin is - yey! Moving on, we have been a Hand Food (£5) household for years and we both swear by it, but recently we've been indulging in Endless Glove (£6.50) after I got it in a Christmas set. It keeps moisturising for 12 hours after application so it's perfect for overnight use, and as it's a bit more heavy duty than Hand Food, Timmy loves using it on his manly mitts. Another recent buy is Heel Genius (£5.50). I've noticed that my heels have been getting a bit dry lately and it literally makes me shudder because I think dry, cracked heels are one of the ugliest things you can see on an escalator. Anyhoo, I've been applying this a few hours before bed, wearing some nice fluffy socks whilst enjoying a cup of tea and some telly and it's definitely improving. PHEW!

Finally, the make up box items, and there are some real gems in Soap & Glory's cosmetic arsenal if you care to sub one of those precious Boots 3 for 2's for a cheeky chancer! I've had Show Good Face 2 in 1 Foundation and Primer (£11) in 'A Good Light', for ages now and I think it's been discontinued now. It can be a little drying on my skin, but it's still sits nicely on oily areas like my cheeks and forehead which is why I keep it around. Hocus Focus (£11) is a highlighter and skin brightener that I adore. It bumped my Benefit Watts Up to second string as soon as I got it and I now mix it in with every foundation or tinted moisturiser I buy, as well as using it on it's own when I'm having a good skin day. It looks particularly good over Bright Here, Bright Now (£12), an instant radiance energy boost balm that doubles as a moisturiser. I actually prefer to use it alone because you can have issues with it flaking when it comes into contact with other moisturising products that sit on your skin. I would recommend popping this in your handbag if there's even an inkling of you spontaneously staying overnight somewhere with someone that you might need to 'wake up' looking fabulously naturally fresh in front of. Ahem.
Finally, some frosting in the form of the fab Kick Ass Concealer (£10), and Sexy Mother Pucker Matte Powder Coat Lipstick (£9). I have Kick Ass in the Light shade and I'm fast becoming addicted to my touch ups, it's definitely a handbag pet. I particularly find the highlighter useful when contouring as a little goes a long way. The only way this product could be improved is if they added a teeny applicator into the lid, simply because I like to use tools to conceal a blemish, but that's a personal thing sooooo, shush! My Sexy Mother Pucker lippy is in the Pom Pom shade, a deep pink. It's so versatile. I use it straight from the tube for a bold lip, applied with my finger for a lighter look and it also gets used (sparingly mind) as a touch of blush because the matte finish means it's not sticky or shiny on my cheeks. Ta daaaaa!

So there you have it, that's my current stash, though other S&G products that I have also recently enjoyed so much so that there's none left include The Fab Pore face mask, Scrubatomic daily facial scrub and Kick Ass Face Powder.

Next on my Boots 3 for 2 list is an Archery eyebrow pencil, Make Yourself Youthful CC Fluid and maybe one of the Sit Tight body serums, but you are not to take that to mean I have bum bumps, I'm just curious . . . ;)

Are you an S&G fan? Can you recommend any other products I haven't tried yet?

J xoxo

  1. Woah that is a LOT of S&G products haha. I've probably gone through 5 or 6 of the Sugar Crush Moisturiser, the smell is just incredible. I love the make up too - especially their eyebrow products! Abby xx

  3. I'm not a big S&G user, but I might have to try that Endless Glove hand cream. The weather has made my hands so dry, it looks like I've dipped them in flour!

  4. I always see this brand at the store and always hear such great things about, but for some reason I haven't picked up any for myself yet! Clearly that needs to change! I have a little bit of "fun money" left over from last month so perhaps I should treat myself :)

  10. I'm overdue for treating myself to some good skin care - I've neglected it too long, and it being in the heart of winter where I am I'm finding my skin dry, cracking and sore. Being a vegetarian I'd want to check the ingredients first, but all of these Soap and Glory products look really good to me.
