2013 - J's Year In Outfits!

Saturday 4 January 2014

The last few weeks of December saw me being struck down by evil germs boooooo! I'm only just getting over it and I haven't yet ventured out into 2014 sporting a pic worthy outfit, soooooo when I spotted T's 2013 montage post from yesterday I thought mmmhmm honey, I'll have a bit of that! To the grids! . . .

January - February - March

January is my birthday month, and these River Island pvc trews were one of my fave sale buys. February saw me land my first Becksondergaard scarf and I've never looked back (addicted!), whilst March brought with it a rekindled love for khaki and cat boots.

April - May - June

In April I whisked my man off for a birthday meal wearing Just Cavalli courtesy of Wish Want Wear! I rocked an Iron Fist onesie in May which was surprisingly easy to pull off, and in June I went full side split with a maxi from Quiz.

July - August - September

I'm not normally a fan of summer, but I nabbed my fave pair of summer shoes ever (the bargain Jeffrey Campbell white pumps from TK Maxx) and worked them to the max while the sun shone! July's ASOS dress and Grafea bag look was probably one of my most popular looks this year. The legs stayed out through August and my Wildfox sweater and All Saints shorts made sure I stayed cool in the heat! September brought the rain but also one of my fave casual looks of the year courtesy of 2nd Day at The Dressing Room!

October - November - December

I was stoked to get the amazing over knee flat boots from Debenhams in early Winter, they're so versatile and somehow manage to um, 'dress down' even the poofiest Jones & Jones dress! November saw me pledge to wear my special pieces a bit more, so I teamed my super sparkly Wildfox cardi with neutrals from Meltin' Pot and Steve Madden and braved the stares. Finally, December was uber chilly and this leather and fuzzy knit combo from Warehouse was probably one of my faves. I'm also quite keen on my foray into red lippy territory which is going to stay with me into 2014 ;)

So there you go, that was a roundup of monthly me's from 2013. It's so funny to see how your style changes with the seasons! This year I have a new camera so I hope the quality will be better for you guys! Tara has kindly gifted me a yummy little clicker for my burpday which will save all of our eyes from grain strain. Unbelievably I had TWO (count 'em) cameras die on me last year meaning I basically spent most of 2013 using an iPhone, which is great for close ups but not so hot for full lengths.

I hope this year will see me streamline my wardrobe. I'm fully aware that my inner magpie likes a bit of a show with regards to pattern, colour and pomp but I'm going to try to reign it in a bit. Leopard print doesn't count though because it's basically a neutral, OBVIO.

J - Happy New Year!
