Somedays I'm Lovin Ravel!

Wednesday 11 September 2013

Roll on AW13 that's all I'm saying! I'm gradually getting back into the swing of wool and leather after the influx of cotton and canvas that summer brought. Two cold weather fashion essentials are a good solid sweater dress and a classic pair of quality knee high boots, and I've found my new faves from Somedays Lovin' at Coco Marie and Ravel

Outfit: Hat - H&M, Dress - c/o Somedays Lovin at Coco Marie, Bag - Zatchels, Bracelet - c/o Tokyo Jane at Coco Marie, Boots - c/o Ravel, Socks - Next, Watch - L.A.M.B.

Just the right amount of slouch. This is a medium which is a 12-14, but it's made to be oversized so feel free to size down if you want a closer fit. I love the grey on black, and it's a heavy, close knit so it's going to be super warm as we get further into winter - hurrah! If you like the look of this, don't forget to use our exclusive Coco Marie 15% off discount code, RAWR15!

I thought the blue bounced nicely off the grey and black, I'm really into colour popping against darker colours :)

These Ravel Monroe leather knee high boots (£100) are literally perfect, and it's good to find a pair of zip up full length boots that actually fit my legs without gaping! The leather is so soft that I can hardly feel them against my legs, so there's no fear of robot walk here.

I do love the little details, zips and buckles go a long way in amping up the style points, while still keeping it classic meaning these bad boys will last for years. Classic leather riding boots will never date, so it's definitely worth investing in a good pair if you can afford it.

The Monroe's also come in a yummy tan brown colour, which would look amazing against denim and burgundy. I've always been a fan of Ravel (I used to buy all my party shoes from there!) so I was sad to see the standalone stores disappear from my usual haunts but it's good to see them online and still producing amazing, quality styles. Check them out!

J - Slouch, don't grouch.
