National Eye Health Week - A Day In J's Eyes!

So, this week is National Eye Health Week, and as a lifelong specs and contact lens wearer I eagerly agreed to take part in a fun blogger project to highlight the importance of regular eye and sight checks! 

The message of National Eye Health Week is CARE - PROTECT - CHECK . . .

CARE - We all like the odd bit of junk food, sit in front of a computer, tablet or phone screen for most of the day, and forget to take our eye make up off before bed but did you know that all of these things can contribute to uncomfortable, irritated eyes? 

PROTECT - We protect our skin and hair with SPF's, but it's just as important to protect our peepers too, so grab your fave sunnies!

CHECK - Regular eye checks (at least every 2 years) aren't just about checking up on your sight, but they also detect other underlying problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure or cholesterol, making them easier to manage. Important stuff, so be sure to think about booking an eye test or if you're after further info, have a read of the Boots WebMD Eye Health page which is super helpful.

The task I was given was to take pics to show a day in the life of me, so basically, what my eyes see when they look out on my world :) Here we go!

My favourite meal of the day - teatime! A spanish meatball and riceball salad - NOM!

The Evening Routine - Burning some blogger mail packaging in the metal bin of death - Chilling out to RuPaul (YOU. BETTER. WORK!) - Relaxing with Pelecat - Inspecting the latest addition to our toy family!

A beautifully changing sky at night, we get the best sundown views on our hill! This is the River Mersey and beyond to Liverpool *waves to all the Scouse chicks!*

So this is pretty much a (weekend) day in the life of me. I'm a homebird at heart, you'll rarely find me out partying! I love waking up and seeing Timmy and Pelecat, and I love seeing our home grow as we make it prettier over the years. Eyes are amazing.
