Rawrgirls Review . . . Stargazer Sexy Eyes Temporary Eye Tattoo!

Wednesday 10 April 2013

I was recently sent a couple of the new Stargazer Sexy Eyes Temporary Eye Tattoo's (£4 a pair) to have a mess about with so I found a bit of time this weekend to try a set out, and errr, WOW - these things are amazing!

You get one set per pack, and they're basically like a sticker transfer that you press against your skin and dampen to remove the backing. Now I'm really bad at applying the temporary lip tattoos so I was a tad apprehensive about these but they're SO easy to apply - hurrah!

Check it out, this is the Rose version, a delicate lace pattern with black roses throughout. It comes in one eye shaped piece but you can cut it out to suit yourself and the pattern you want to achieve. I cut it into 2 pieces for this look, so I could get it close to my lower lashes and still get a good wing out there, but you can't even see the join, pretty impressive for my first try! I wish I'd applied some fluttery lashes to set them off but they would've just distracted from the pattern so for review purposes you'll have to put up with my stumps. Oh and I filled in the outer corner under my lower lashes with eyeliner, superhero stylee, to close the gap for more dramz ;)

It literally took about 2 minutes per eye on my first time, which shows how easy it is. I'm going to say that Stargazer Sexy Eyes are better quality and easier to use than Eye Rock, which I struggled to apply and then control last year when we went to see Lady Gaga at Twickenham, plus they are cheaper and last longer! After applying these I had a steamy bath (I know, I'm backwards but surely all the best beauty testing is done while the bath is running?!), then kept them on for a further 3 hours before deciding to remove them for bed and they were stuck fast with no sign of peeling at all! It took a good few cotton wool pads of oily make up remover to get them off, so this is a good thing if you're planning to rock them for a hot and humid night out dancing, which is where I imagine most of us would be wearing them!

I would definitely buy these, they'd be a really cool alternative to a masquerade mask for a start as they're really dramatic, but if you're not so showy but still like the look, Stargazer do a pack called Four Eyeliners which are just 4 sets of that perfect black flick that we all strive for!

Overall - fine holiday fun, two big thumbs up.

    1. From far away they just look like a lot of black eyeshadow on each eye, or a mask :)
