AW13 Ruby and Ed, SS13 Tokyo Jane, Little Mistress and Linzi Shoes!

Monday 15 April 2013

If you read my previous blog post, you'll know that last Wednesday I attended the AW13 Good Results PR press day. As well as showcasing the AW13 collections of numerous (awesome) brands, some rather lovely SS13 collections were on display.

One of the prettiest brands I spotted was Little Mistress. They sell an incredible range of beautiful embellished dresses and I was swooning all over the nude rack. My favourite piece was a long sleeved frock adorned with sequins and jewels...

A girl can never own too many dresses and it took all my restraint not to grab this lot and run for the door. Little Mistress have dresses to suit all occasions - not just for parties and nights out! I really like some of their more casual pieces.

The magpie in me was instantly drawn to the super cool jewellery by Danish brand Tokyo Jane. I love stacking my bracelets and spotted some pretty sweet wrist candy that won't break the bank!

It's a well known fact that I like my bling and Tokyo Jane seems to have an extensive range suitable for a blingaholic like me. The black bracelet with the skulls is now officially on my want list along with some rather rawrsome animal print bangles. Rockin'.

Since the sun has finally decided to put his hat on, I'm beginning to dream about the summer and sandals! I can't wait to start wearing my gorgeous maxi dresses but first I need to sort out my summer footwear, thankfully these Linzi shoes are bang on trend.

If you aren't familiar with Linzi shoes, they focus on affordable, fast fashion footwear! I must admit I don't like spending too much on footwear (I always end up destroying my shoes anyway) so this brand is perfect for me. I can imagine myself wearing the studded brown sandals with my new Anthropologie maxi. Nom. The girls at Linzi were sweet enough to give us a pair of shoes each, so expect to see them in an outfit post soon.

I also found enough time to swing by the Ruby and Ed AW13 press day before heading to the AX Paris party. They had lots of luxury slippers on show and some gorgeous knit accessories, but I was instantly drawn to their faux fur coats.

Ruby and Ed Faux Fur Coats

My favourite print has to be the snow leopard! If I had this jacket I would never take it off, ever. Everything is so beautifully made and feels oh so luxurious. I also fell in love with their selections of hats and scarves so was chuffed with my complimentary shimmer beanie. I'm hoping I won't have to wear it until later in the year but who knows with this crazy weather.

Ruby and Ed Hats and Scarves

The Ruby and Ed SS13 collection is also really cute, it features handmade garments from artisans in India and pieces made using the highest quality fabrics. I currently have my eye on the illusions shirt, I love digital prints and can imagine wearing this with denim shorts in the summer.

Have you heard of any of these designers before? What's your favourite piece?

  3. Love Ruby & Eds Faux Fur coats - fabulous. Would wear them even if we get a 'barbecue summer'. Would wearing one over a bikini be too weird?

  12. I'm with you on the cheap shoe front - in my experience expensive shoes (certainly sandals and strappy shoes) don't last any longer than cheap ones do. x
