Warehouse SS13 Trend Studio Liverpool!

Wednesday 20 March 2013

Last week I was invited to Warehouse's Trend Studio Liverpool event, held in Liverpool's Camp & Furnace, a ridiculously cool venue just on the edge of the city centre.

I met up with my blogger gallus of pallus Gemma from Gemma Satire for some eats beforehand. This is us doing blogger instagram shizz in the car killing time so we weren't the first through the door. We're so uncool that it's probably cool. Or something like that ;)

The Trend Studio is designed to showcase Warehouse's new season trends and stand out pieces. The venue looked amazing with awesome park bench seating littered with goody bags, cute caravan changing rooms, a big screen that made you feel like you were at an outdoor cinema and plenty of drinks and nibbles for all!

After a champagne reception we were taken through some key SS13 looks from Warehouse by Reem Kanj of Five Five Fabulous, followed by a catwalk show, a chance to try and buy some of the gorgeous pieces on show, and the opportunity to get some statement eyes and lips from the Illamasqua experts!

The set up, gorgeous models working it and the lovely Reem Kanj (from afar!).

Seriously touchable SS13 fabrics and styles!

My top 3 key trends of the 7 that we were shown by Reem Kanj were Arizona Western, Rock Muse and Monochromania so I put a little set together of my 3 fave pieces for each one!

The Arizona Western trend is all about mismatched prints and laid back swag so the Arizona Split Sleeve Dress - £45, is my pick, imagine with boots and a biker jacket or the Embroidered Yoke Jacket - £55 for a more full on western look. Alternatively, update your everyday look with the Western Lace Top - £36, easy!

For Rock Muse, think jeans, tees, Cali cool and grunge. The Red Snow Wash Skinny Jeans - £42, are such an amazing colour and wash, we want! The Chiffon Back Shirt - £35 is a perfect twist on the classic 80's hair rock acid wash denim and could also be worn open over a tee for a more relaxed look, so I'm loving the yummy blue Burnout Tee - £18 for this idea.

Monochromania is pretty obvious - black and white! The Wide Stripe Fitted Trousers - £48, are probably the must have piece for this trend but the Monochrome Biker Coat - £95, is to die for! If this is all a bit too much though, just top off a plain outfit with the Zebra Stripe Scarf - £22 - ta daaaa!

Everything is so wearable in Warehouse, there's no excuse to not run with these trends if you fancy updating your wardrobe a touch for this season! I'm a total Rock Muse but I'm going to try to rock a little Arizona Western for the summer, mix it up a little you know?!

I had a great night and met some gorgeous girls including Rebecca from It's Cohen, Hollie from Good Golly Miss Hollie and cutie fashion student Shaj - hey there Team Ride-A-Long!

Huge thanks to Warehouse for a most pleasant evening amongst friends and fashion, and for bringing such an awesome event to my favourite city - mwah!

J - Total Rock Muse ;)
