GlamGlow Mud Mask Review!

Thursday 7 March 2013

A couple of you have been asking about the GlamGlow Mud Mask I received in my bbmeet goody bag a few weeks ago, so here is the review! When I first noticed the GlamGlow youth-mud in my goody bag, I sat quietly examining it until my blogger friend Grace turned to me and exclaimed, "That stuff is amazing!"

GlamGlow Mud Mask

She told me she uses it on her male clients at the beauty salon she works in and it's practically magic. The next day was Bath in Fashion and while we were in the Little LAB pop-up shop we spotted GlamGlow! The owner was gushing about how incredible it is, it turns out this mud mask is taking over the beauty industry and I had no idea.

I've wanted to try it since first getting my paws on it but Grace mentioned it was a bit too much for her sensitive skin which made me wary. Even though I too have sensitive skin, I decided to take the plunge last night and just use it. My oh my...

GlamGlow Mud MaskA swatch of it on my hand, you can just about make out a piece of leaf at the top.

I applied a thin layer to my face and patiently waited for the tingling sensation to kick in. It didn't take long for me to feel it, boy does it tingle! After about 2 minutes I was worried I couldn't take anymore, I thought my sensitive skin was freaking out. I decided to leave it on for the full 10 minutes for important blog review purposes (haha). When the time was up, the mask was dry, the tingling was gone and I could see noticeable pieces of leaves.

When you wash it off, you're supposed to use a circular motion so it can exfoliate your skin. The sea salt does a really good job, it's quite gentle but I could feel it working. The result was quite surprising...

The verdict:

It's amazing. Part of me didn't want to love this product, it's £49.99 for a 50ml tub and it's no spend month. Although I've only used it once, I can see a difference. My skin is extremely soft, it feels tighter and looks fresher. My mum even said I was glowing... That's right, it did what it said on the tin - it made my face glow! So upon reflection, the crazy tingling sensation (verging on burning) was just the mask working it's magic. I'd like to try this properly over a few weeks but alas I only had the one sample. I'm adding it to my list of things to buy when I'm allowed to spend again, I'd like to test it on my boyfriend too!

P.S You can by a 7ml size tube for only £4.99 if you want to try before you buy.

  2. Ah I soooo would love to try this.. but I just can't justify £50 on a 50ml pot of cream which might not work on my sensitive skin! It sounds amazing though :) xx

    1. I just updated the post because I forgot to say you can buy a 7ml tube for only £5 if you want to try it first! I have the most sensitive skin in the world so I'd say you'd be fine but it's best to be safe. xo

  8. Dammit. I was hoping it was a load of hype about nothing as I knew I wouldn't be able to resist if not (even with the whopping price tag). I guess I should start saving! x Becky

  16. It sounds like a dream, but it EXPENSIVE. How can something so small cost so much money.:) I know I should focus on the mask, but YOUR NAILS!!! I love that color, babe.
