Benefit Glamouriety Roadshow in Bristol!

Saturday 2 March 2013

Earlier this week I attended Benefit's Glamouriety event which was held at the Bristol Musuem & Art Gallery! I was flattered to be invited and it gave me the perfect excuse to get dressed up and mingle with some of my favourite blogger babes.

Hanging out with Amie from Credit Crunch Chic and wearing a dress from Fashion Union!

We were greeted with a glass of something fizzy and after having enough time for some good ole blogger gossip, we made our way to the main hall to take our seats. The director of first impressions Nina (who is super bubbly and adorable) welcomed us and then introduced comedian Gabby Best who entertained us with her hilarious make-up jokes. She even transformed Nina into Anne Hathaway using her mad make-up skills (seeing is believing haha). We then met Mr & Mrs Benefit UK and heard how they brought Benefit to our shores which was really interesting.

Up next was the 'Glamouriety' movie, it's a weird and wonderful film that explains the story of Benefit. Some parts of it were really funny and some were darn right odd but it was a great insight into the minds of founders Jane and Jean Ford. I definitely recommend watching it if you have the time!

We were then ushered back into the foyer for a performance by the gorgeous showgirls and given some nibbles/more fizz! Us bloggers had a picture taken together but I haven't been able to get my paws on it yet so you'll have to imagine our outfits... I had so much fun hanging out with everyone!

Finally we were serenaded by Elle & the Pocket Belles who are just so talented! I didn't realise I liked 40's swing music until I watched them perform! They're all so foxy too. Purrr!

Huge thanks to Benefit for an awesome night out! I also want to say thank you to Cherry Rock Boutique who gave the bloggers a pair of pretty handmade knickers each. Designer Rachel made the showgirls' outfits which were oh so glamourous.

Do you use Benefit products? I always have done but my love for them has now skyrocketed since learning more about the brand!

  10. I love the fuchsia colour of the outfits the showgirls are wearing. Those pastries look delicious. The pink colour of the dresses being worn by Elle and the Pocket Belles as they performed 40s swing music is lovely. How wonderful being able to watch the entire full length movie, 'Glamouriety' on YouTube uploaded by benefitcosmetics. I've been watching it on YouTube in another window while commenting. The singing starting at around 11:45 is beautiful. The part where she sings "That's why I love you bene tint" and the camera pans to the cosmetics perched in her cleavage at 12:50 is great. The handmade knickers by Cherry Rocks Boutique verypretty and wonderfully feminine too! I haven't ever used Benefit cosmetics but I think I'll try them out.
