48 Hour Fashion Beauty Fix at Cabot Circus!

Saturday 23 March 2013

Last Saturday I was invited to the 48 hour fashion (and beauty) fix at Cabot Circus, Bristol. It was a weekend of fun, fashion and competitions, with Cabot's retailers holding small pop-up fashion shows across 48 hours.

One of the most exciting competitions was Hook a Handbag! I do love a good giveaway so I happily queued up for the chance to play this awesome game. You had to hook a bag (no surprise there) and then retrieve a random envelope from inside it, this envelope either gave you good news or let you down gently.

Hook a handbag
I'm wearing: Wildfox rainbow jumper - Hudson Nico jeans - M&S bowler, Zatchels bucket bag - Internacionale denim shirt.

I had my eyes on the Marc Jacobs bag at the top (the star prize), but unfortunately I was a loser! Witness my sad face. Soon after I'd had my go I heard screams of delight, someone had won themselves a bag - eeep! It wasn't long before my dream bag had also been nabbed by some jammie dodger. I decided to make myself feel better by admiring the yummy SS13 fashion which was on display...

  Hello beautiful neon pieces.

Florals and monochrome are 2 of the hottest trends for Spring/Summer.

What a delicious mixture of monochrome, graphic prints, digital prints and animal print!

After looking through the racks of clothes made up of this season's biggest trends, I headed to the Frankie & Benny's pop-up bar to partake in a free mocktail! It was really fruity and extremely delicious.

Mmm...How refreshing!

There was also a really cool beauty bus situated in Quaker's Friars where you could have mini treatments, makeovers and get beauty advice for SS13

It was really quiet in the morning and Nails Inc were giving free manicures but as I still had some shopping to do (there were so many discounts around), I decided to head back at lunch for a free Benefit makeoverUnfortunately when I returned the bus was full and I didn't get a chance to get my beauty fix. Next time I'll be early.

The mini pop-up shows were especially cool, I loved how they felt more like fashion flash mobs than your average catwalk show. It was a really fun event and probably the best one I've been to in Cabot Circus. I hope they do it again for AW13!

Were you there last weekend? Has your city held a similar fashion event for SS13?

T - Loves a good fashion fix! XoX
