Rawrgirls Review . . . Sera G False Eyelashes!

Sunday 10 February 2013

I LOVE false eyelashes, it's no secret that I'd happily wear them everyday, so when Sera G offered to send me some to review I was all over it with a big YES PLEASE! Sera G stocks 80 different types of false eyelashes in their vast range so I was sure there would be something I would love! They came super fast and I loved the minimalist packaging, just 5 clear trays contained together in plastic and bound with a branded ribbon, so you can see your new friends at all angles straight away.

Sera G sent me 5 different styles to try . . .
Angel Long, a full strip eyelashes priced £3.99
Fish Tail, unique individual eyelashes priced £4.99
Tequila, corner half eyelashes priced £4.99
Lovely, corner half eyelashes £3.79
Dainty, lower eyelashes priced £4.99

Rather than doing 5 individual reviews of each lash style, I thought I'd show how you can use several different lashes to achieve a dramatic but still natural look, especially with the individual and outer lashes!

The look below shows off the Dainty lower lash style. These were super easy to apply and the clear band means you don't have to battle with an unnatural looking dark lower lash line, allowing you to hide the band with your own colours. Dense lower lashes can be a striking look so for this reason I think they work better with smokey eyes and lots of eyeliner, and I absolutely loved them!

The upper lashes are a combination of Angel Long, a long lashed natural strip that makes a pretty base, and Tequila, the six part corner lashes that are super easy to place and give an amazing outer kick, my favourite style! Sure using several different lashes takes a bit more time but the look is, in a wierd way, a touch more natural than just using one thick banded strip lash. Despite being layered, these lashes stayed PUT. As well as an obvious sign of quality, I also think it's a benefit of using a few sets of lighter lashes than one less pliable heavy set with a tough band - hurrah for sexy dramatic eyes without the dramz!

The second look uses 3 different upper lashes! Again, Angel Long are applied as the base strip giving a fluttery look from the get go. I then applied the Lovely outer corner half strips to add depth to the corners, then added my fave style of them all, Fishtail, a set of six unique individual lash strips, on top again to achieve a fabulous, dense lash outer corner effect which I personally think is a lot more flattering than the double/triple full strip look taken all the way to the inner eye.

Add a touch of fun liquid eyeliner and coloured mascara and the look is complete! Again, the lashes were so easy to place, and the six individual ones took no time at all to position and secure. You could create so many different looks with the individual lash strips, these could become a new obsession for me, and luckily Sera G have so many styles to choose from here!

These are good quality, easy to wear falsies for great prices. I'm fine with paying the £6.99+ for my usual sets, but when lashes as good as these start at £3.99 I could be easily converted!

If this is your cup of tea, check out Sera G on Facebook and Twitter for more info!

  13. Nice review especially the picture of the eyelash looks so beautiful. I normally have average length eyelashes, but I'm trying to become a model so I wanted them to be exceptional. When I saw xlash eyelash serum on this website http://www.xlash.net/ for such a low price, I decided to give it a try and see if it would actually work for me. I noticed results within a week, and now after using it for around two months they are starting to touch my eyebrows! This is really good deal.
