Rawr Girls Review: Cloth Magazine!

Saturday 9 February 2013

It's fair to say most fashion bloggers love fashion mags, so when we were asked if we'd like a complimentary copy of the re-launch issue of Cloth, our answer was hellz yeah! Cloth Magazine is a mixture of fashion and clever crafting ideas. It's crammed with style advice, information about the hottest trends and lots of exciting (but easy-to-follow) projects.

My favourite section is probably 'Fashion Fixes'. It includes a Q&A on up-cycling along with other articles which provide info on how you can transform your unloved clothes. I love the idea of adding embellishment to an old sweater and turning an old lace top into a lace skirt...Genius!

I've never bought a craft magazine before so was literally squeaking with delight whilst flicking through the pages. This issue (14) even comes with a paper doll called Rose along with her 4 looks which are all inspired by projects featured in Cloth. Amazing.

Say hello to Rose!

My boyfriend is more talented than me in the sewing department but reading Cloth has inspired me to try some of the ideas mentioned. I think I might start with up-cycling first, if I get stuck I'll just ask my guy for help. Practice makes perfect, right?

If you're interested in trying this mag for yourself, they currently have an offer where you can buy 3 issues for £5 - bargain.

What's your favourite fashion mag? Are you a sewing machine whizz kid?

T - Feeling crafty! XoX
