Beer, Boots and Bands - Dr Martens Bristol Store Launch!

As a self-confessed Dr. Martensaholic, I was extremely excited when I received an invite to the launch party of the new Bristol Dr. Martens store on Monday night. We were promised beer, boots + bands and the DM crew didn't fail to deliver!

We were treated to free drinks from Bristol Beer Factory and performances by two awesome bands, The Fauns and The Idles. I'd never heard of either band before but they were both really good and the store was crammed with cool folk hanging out.

As expected, there were plenty of boots on display. Not only does the new store stock plenty of Docs,  it also sells accessories and clothing. I was drooling over pretty much everything instore, in particular this amazing studded leather satchel...

Such a beauty. I already own the studded boots and this little satchel was begging me to take her home but unfortunately I'm a rich girl trapped in a poor girl's body. I had to leave her (for the time being) so I hope she goes to a loving home. There were plenty of other yummy shoes/bags on show and I enjoyed mingling while making a mental list of items to pop on Christmas list this year.

It was also really nice to be introduced to bloggers I haven't met before and I got to spend time with some of my fave South West blogger pals - Milly (A Sensible Heart) and Amie (Credit Crunch Chic)! It was also great to see the gorgeous Kim again (Sweet Monday) and I finally got to meet Steph (Stephanie Dreams) who is absolutely lovely.

If you live in Bristol or close by, you should definitely give the new store a visit. The sales assistants are all really friendly, knowledgeable and have such awesome style! I'll be popping back this weekend to have another little browse.
