Schwarzkopf OSiS+ Rough Vs Smooth - Rough Rubber!

Wednesday 10 October 2012

We're taking part in the Schwarzkopf OSiS+ #RoughVsSmooth contest, to create a hair style ! I'm doing Rough, whilst T is doing Smooth - this suits our hair types perfectly so here we go!

I was sent a pot of Schwarzkopf OSiS+ Rough Rubber, a texture paste giving strong control. It's a yummy smelling pale blue gum and funny to touch, it literally feels like squishy rubber. Just a little bit will melt between your fingers ready to work into your hair - easy!

I suppose it's designed with short hair in mind but I found it really easy to use with my mid length locks! I love it when Scarlett Johansson musses up her waves and just lets it rock out, it looks like she just scrunches it in her hands, and I also love Dianna Agron's seperated choppy bob, so with these girls in mind, I set to work!

Rough Rubber does a great job of defining and seperating layers and ends, whilst holding them at all kinds of angles with just a quick rough up by hand. This is literally a 5 minute style. I rubbed the product between my hands, scrunched at the roots for volume (and you get a lot of it!), lightly rubbed the ends with the residue on my palms to seperate them and voila! One messed up look that HOLDS. I didn't fix it with hairspray and this cool angular shape stayed with me for a good hour. Not only does it hold but it feels light and isn't greasy, which is a bonus when rough is the look you are going for. Rough does not look good with shine!
So that's my Rough look! Now I challenge T to get Smooth with her product! What do you prefer?!
