Rawrgirls Review.... Bomb Cosmetics Halcyon Daze Bath Gift Set From Find Me A Gift!

Tuesday 8 May 2012

Find Me A Gift recently asked if we wanted to review one of their Bomb Cosmetics bath sets...*thinks*...errr yeah?! ;) I chose the Halcyon Daze Bath Set - £11.99, because it looked so sunny and I was feeling a little happy hippy that day.

The set arrived beautifully pre-wrapped so you can gift it straight away, and contains a Fantasy Island Bath Blaster infused with goji berry, pineapple, grapefruit and mandarin peel oils, a Carnival of Love Bath Tulip containing cocoa butter, shea butter, rose and chamomile oils, the Flower Bizarre Bath Creamer which boasts cocoa and shea butters, rose, geranium and jasmine oils, the Kiwi & Lime Bath Mallow contains shea and cocoa butters, lime and orange peel oil, safflower and milk protein and a nice block of Lime Sublime Soap Slice which contains lime and grapefruit peel oils.

Cue the arty nature pics....

I do love a bath, so I set to 'work' immediately. The Fantasy Island Bath Blaster was my fave. It fizzed away in a deep bath leaving the water a bright yellow and super soft and moisturising, with a fruity fragrance which lingered on my skin. The Carnival of Love Bath Melt Tulip came a close second, the water felt super soft on my skin and you can use this one many times because you only need a small chunk. The Flower Bazaar Bath Creamer was a tiny bundle of fun, again the water felt full of essential oils with an exotic scent that filled the bathroom. And to make sure I wasn't blinded by the first 3 products, I had BF test the last two fruitier items in the box; the Kiwi & Lime Bath Mallow and the Lime Sublime soap! After a bit of coaxing (and holding him down in the bath like a dog), I had him use his words and we discovered that he found the scents of the Mallow refreshing and enjoyed the soft bubbles of the lathered up Soap ;)

All the items in the box were jam packed with yummy natural ingredients that worked so these are the real deal, not like the rubbish supermarket gift sets of bath bombs and soaps that are basically pastel coloured Alka Seltzer's with novelty shaped blocks of budget brand-esque soap. I'm not sure if the Bomb Cosmetics products are okay for vegan's, though it does say they aren't tested on animals which is something. It's no secret that we love Find Me A Gift. We've reviewed for them several times now and as usual their delivery and packaging was top notch, plus between me and you this gift box is £1 cheaper on FMAG than it is on the actual Bomb Cosmetics online store....shhhhhhh!! ;)

Overall, I can't find fault with any of the products for the price, if you don't count the packaging they come in at an average of £2.40 each which isn't bad in comparison to similar products from Lush for example, plus the Bath Melt Tulip is reuseable. This would make a lovely gift for a bath enthusiast of any age, fine Halcyon fun!

J - A happy hippy.
