Clashing Prints...

Sunday 29 January 2012

BF and I decided to take a trip to our local waterfront today because I was bored of my brick wall and needed a change of scenery. It was a freezing cold day and the ducks, geese and seagulls were out in force but it was a bit of fun to skip around and check out the amazing view of the Runcorn bridge (which is on the Cathedral City cheese ad!).

I was probably a little overdressed (but then I usually am) in my Rich & Skinny waxed skinny cargos, ASOS leopard leather jacket and spike Lita's but I really wanted to wear the River Island black and white stripey top that Tim had got me for my birthday and this outfit had been in my head all week. I've clashed leopard and monochrome stripes since Gwen Stefani threw stripes and cheetah on the Carlisle clutches from the L.A.M.B. 2007 Luxe season (I have one and cherish it) and it's my fave combination for making a statement :)

The stripey tee is really nice, I saw it online then went to try on in the shop and at first I couldn't find it because it looks so different in real life. It's not a tshirt in my opinion, it's more of a smart top in a crisp silky material. Plus, it has epaulettes on the shoulders and a curved hemline which dips at the front and back, neither of which are clear by the pic online or mentioned in the description. Regardless, I love it and it is well worth the £25!

If you're wondering about my necklace it's a JC/DC Jessie watch. I've taken to wearing him since the strap on my fave L.A.M.B. watch is proving unsteady. A necklace watch is a really carefree way of keeping the time handy!

I loved the place anyway, I think I'll be popping down there a bit more to take pics, but next time we'll take a loaf of bread for the ducks and geese, cuuuuuute!
