AW11 High Street Trends At The Look Show Part 2 - Be Bold!

Saturday 1 October 2011

The front row experience at a runway show is a frenzied one if you're there to make notes and take pics in order to spot the trends! The models fly past you and you're more likely to gawp at the clothes as they go past instead of making mental notes, so it's amazing to get home and review your pics where you can instantly see trends emerge in front of your eyes!

My second Look Show trend post is all about COLOUR, and there was a lot of it! Bold, jewel tones stood out in colour blocked outfits where the colours were king. Here are my fave looks on the day from some of our fave stores!

LOVED this Pink Coat (£90) from Warehouse - a coat is the perfect way to add colour into your look everyday!

This look from H&M is totally something I'd wear, an effortlessly cool way to colourblock.

The new kids on the UK High Street block, Forever 21, sent this 70's inspired look down the runway. I love the yellow pop of the shirt against this season's 'IT' coloured wine red trousers. Good morning Charlie!

With the amazing weather we're having right now, this bright cobalt blue shorts suit from Dorothy Perkins is the perfect way to impress the boss right now! The shorts are just £25 but be quick because they're limited edition, whilst the blazer is a nifty £49!

And finally, I had to include the Oasis & Look Magazine Design A Dress competition winning design! This gorgeous red lace skater style dress was designed by Melissa Gormley from Belfast who beat over 16,000 other entrants to have her design produced and sold by Oasis - errr, WOW?! Good job girl, we LOVE it! Eyes out for it online and in stores this month!

What's your favourite look and will you be rocking some brights this season? I definitely will, what a hot way to brighten up a dull winter day!

All photos are property of this blog, as seen by my own keen eye and taken by my own fair hand on the day ;)

J - Bring on the winter!
