Monsoon Dhalia Military Coat

I've always been a fan of the military trend, last year I found a hella cute jacket but I was still on the hunt for a long version. As soon as I saw the Monsoon Dhalia Military Coat (£129) in store, I knew I had to get my paws on it. I'm not sure if you guys feel the same, but it seems to me that Monsoon have really upped their game this year. Their outerwear is on point! I was almost DROOLING over their capes and they have lots of lovely occasionwear pieces too. Good work, team.

At the weekend we headed to Royal Fort Gardens, which is such a peaceful little spot just off Park Street, in Bristol. It was a really crisp day but my wool coat kept me surprisingly warm, as did my latest purchase from Tommy Hilfiger. This awesome baker boy cap!

My baker boy hat purchase was all thanks to Amy of The Little Magpie aka the hat enabler. I'd tried a few high street versions, none of which looked right, and then I spotted this Tommy Hilfiger Wool Nautical Hat (£60) on Amy and placed an order. It's a bit of an investment piece but you get what you pay for, it's beautifully lined and falls nicely. I also like how it looks paired it with my Dhalia military coat, Lovisa jewels and some navy Dr Martens boots. 

I kept reaching for the brim of my fedora all day, but there's something so neat and simple about this hat style. Years back, I traced my family tree and discovered my ancestors were milliners who lived on Baker Street... Which could explain my love of hats. I'm now trying to resist buying the Gigi x Tommy Hilfiger version (be happy about that, Chloe).
