Spring 2017 Wedding Guest Style with Boohoo

Tuesday 9 May 2017

Okay, just a heads up, the blog is probably going to be full of wedding guest outfits for the foreseeable future. I just can't resist a gorgeous dress and boy do I love wedding season. You know this. As Sam says we can't renew our vows for a good view years (SPOIL SPORT), I'm hoping all my friends and relatives are going to get hitched soon so I can get dressed up and enjoy the party.

Boohoo recently set me the challenge of styling an outfit for a garden party wedding... YAS team! I love dressing like a lady so immediately envisioned a midi dress and block heel combo. They have a whole section dedicated to wedding guest dresses and after initially feeling a bit overwhelmed, I ended up choosing the Emi Embroidered Midi Dress.

It might be difficult to tell from these photos, but the back is actually sheer - I have so much time for dresses that have a party at the back! Boohoo is well known for its tight fitting numbers and low cuts, but it also has a fantastic range of wedding appropriate dresses. The Emi dress is from their premium Boutique collection which is my favourite range - I prefer paying a bit more for limited edition pieces with more attention to detail.

Every frock needs its sole mate, so I ended up pairing my chosen dress with the Sarah Floral Sequin Block Heels - which are loads of fun. I can't wait to wear them with skinny jeans at a later date. I completed my wedding outfit by throwing on a fedora and choosing a statement necklace... I wanted to make sure my necklace was as happy as my heels, so opted for this astronaut necklace from Eclectic Eccentricity. I've had it for years but it's still one of my favourites and is a great conversation starter.

Mission complete. I'm now off to watch my wedding video again for the hundredth time - a woman's gotta get her money's worth. - T
