New Look: Ways to Wear a Bodysuit

Thursday 5 May 2016

At Rawr Towers we love a good styling challenge! New Look recently gave me the task of styling a classic bodysuit in 2 completely different ways, well, I love a good bodysuit so was eager to get involved. Their latest campaign is called Ways to Wear a Bodysuit and as I lived in them during the 90's, I couldn't wait to throw a couple of looks together.

First up, a classic 90s throwback outfit. I felt like a member of a girl band wearing this. Best. Feeling. Ever.

Outfit one:

New Look Bodysuit

New Look Cigarette Dungarees
Dungarees & Bodysuit: New Look (c/o) - Trainers: Nike Air Max Ultra

Oh baby baby, where have these dungarees been all my adult life? I previously had a pair of dungarees back in the 90s, when I used to rock a top knot with a scrunchie and 'Troll' jumpers. I'm a bit of an odd shape, 6 on top, 8 in the middle and a 8/10 on the bottom, so I've been trying to find a good pair of overalls since 2012. New Look to the rescue!

These black cigarette dungarees are awesome (size 8, if anyone's wondering) & I'm a big fan of this outfit. It's just hella comfortable and easy to wear. I will be buying this grey ribbed bodysuit in several other colours because it's so darn versatile & only costs a tenner. FYI: This bodysuit is a size 10 as it runs a bit small on top.

Next up, dinner with the husband-to-be!

Outfit two:

Navy Balloon Waffle Texture Midi Skirt
Bl^nk Jacket
Jacket: Bl^nk via Anthropologie - Midi & Bodysuit: New Look

I feel like such a lady in this second look. I opted for this textured waffle midi (a bargain at £19.99) which I styled with my New Look bodysuit and this Bl^nk Matador style jacket, Sam bought me from Anthropologie. I'm confident this says, 'let's go to a nice restaurant and pretend to be grown ups'. Am I riiiggghhht?

Two completely different looks created using the same bodysuit! Mission complete.

In life news, I can't believe we get married in less than 2 weeks. I wasn't planning on blogging about it but after all the effort we've put in, I'm tempted to share some decoration snaps - even if we don't feature in the photos! Once everything is finished, I'll definitely blog about our journey along with some hints & tips for future brides-to-be.

Are you all about the bodysuit? Which look do you prefer?

T - Toro, toro!
