Ohh Deer Quirky Illustrated Gifts - Unicorn Spectacular Cushion by Tiffany Beucher

Ohh Deer is one of those online stores that you land on by recommendation or by Googling something cute like 'cat cushion' (ahem) and end up browsing for hours, filling your basket to a week's wages or thereabouts and then wishing you were rich because you can only check out with a mug and a greetings card, for now ;)

Ohh Deer was created by founders Jamie and Mark, who reached out to their fave illustrators from around the world (who all take a direct cut from the profits - hurrah!) to bring us a unique collection of quirky illustrated gifts, and boy is it good!

I nabbed this super cute Unicorn Spectacular Cushion (£34.95) by French London based illustrator and graphic designer Tiffany Beucher. All of Ohh Deer's cushions are awesomely vegan, handmade in the UK, machine washable, measure 43cm x 43cm, are made of super soft faux suede with a zip fastening and come with or without a plump 50cm x 50cm insert (opting for without makes the postage cheaper). How adorable is this design? I can almost hear the unicorn going 'Weeeeeeeeeee!'!

Cushion c/o Ohh Deer

The faux suede is unbelieveable, check out the close up. The rainbow strokes look like they are drawn straight on with chalk and it feels SO real, you really have to touch it to believe it. It actually reminds me of my real suede candy pink Gestuz jacket, so soft and smooth, you literally want to rub it on your face.
Okay, I rubbed the cushion on my face. Soz aba me.

The flip side of the cushion is a nude beige for that party in the front, business at the back look in case your bank manager comes round for tea, and finished with a nifty little Ohh Deer tag.

I couldn't be more impressed with this piece and I will definitely be indulging in more Ohh Deer gifts, first on the list is this beautiful Alice cushion by Karl James - curiouser and curiouser!

Have you shopped with Ohh Deer before? If not directly you'll probably still recognise certain designs from other stockists. I know I've seen a few of the greetings cards in my fave independent gift store in Liverpool, and it's nice to know where they have come from and check out more of the illustrator's work. Good job!

J - Ohh yey!

Pandora Valentine's Collection 2015!

Valentine's day is just over 2 weeks away and we've been getting into the spirit of all things lovey dovey! I love a good bunch of flowers and some choccies for V-Day but nothing beats jewellery. Fact. Pandora has recently launched their brand new Valentine's Collection for 2015, it's full of beautiful pieces including some adorable new charms and super cool stacking rings.

Pandora Valentines Collection 2015

Earlier this week I was sent the Forever in My Heart Pandora charm to review from John Greed. This is by far my favourite charm in the collection - I love that it's two toned! The sweet little 14ct gold heart is suspended within the sterling silver open heart and I think it's a classic design which would make the perfect Valentine's gift.

Pandora Forever in My Heart Charm

I've ordered several pieces of jewellery from John Greed in the past and I certainly recommend them. They have a great online selection, ship their orders quickly and they are well packaged. If you aren't sure what to get your Valentine, you can't go wrong by opting for jewellery, she won't blame you for ruining her New Year diet and this charm will last more than 5 days! ;)

Are you looking forward to Valentine's day? Which type of gift would you like to receive?

T - Has a heart of gold.

Spoiled Brat Sale Outfit For Under £50!

Oh I do LOVE the January sales! Right now is the best time to grab a bargain, almost all sales are up to 70% off and the final reductions have been actioned. Spoiled Brat have a rawrsome sale at the moment, full of bargain Wildfox, Jeffrey Campbell, MINKPINK and much more! A few weeks ago we were asked by SB to create an outfit made from sale picks for less than £50. We love a good challenge so both Jade & I ended up with an outfit each for under £50. SAVVY.

I opted for this super cute black playsuit by Australian brand Reverse, which was an absolute steal at only £22 (Was £54.99)! I styled it with one of my lace maxi dusters, some block heel sandals and a fedora. I really love this brand, especially their maxi dresses and playsuits.

Granted it isn't really playsuit weather, but now is the time to stock up on cute pieces for the Summer! I already have this playsuit in white/floral so I knew it would fit just as well. This is the size small and it has a nice relaxed vibe to it - perfect for covering up on the beach.

My outfit wouldn't be complete without my favourite jewels! Another day, another Mi Moneda necklace. ;)

Are you a fan of playsuits? Have you bought much in the January sales?

Ohh Deer - Quirky Illustrated Gifts Made in the UK!

Friday 23 January 2015

I'm officially growing up as I'm starting to LOVE homeware. We were recently contacted by Ohh Deer, an online store which stocks quirky illustrated gifts, all made in the UK! They don't just stock homeware, they have a great selection of books, stationary, clothing and lots more.

They aim to support creative talent, stocking several different illustrators. Each illustrator gets a large percentage of the profit from everything sold and they even use recycled materials where possible!

I would describe my homeware taste as 'global traveller'. I love bright colours, vibrant prints and love to mix and match. I was instantly drawn to this beautiful floral enamelware jug, I didn't know anything about designer Jasmine White but I loved the tangerine colour and knew it was something the man in my life would also like.

Ohh Deer Homeware Review
Floral Enamelware Tangerine Jug: c/o Ohh Deer

It was lovingly hand painted and after a bit of Googling, I discovered Jasmine was inspired by her childhood in India, she even spent a few years in the Himalayan Mountains. I would love to get my paws on some of her other pieces! This is a jug but I decided to turn it into a vase for the time being. I think it works well both ways.

I can't help but think our very own Carly Watts would be a great addition to this website. I know I'd buy her products! ;)

Have you heard of Ohh Deer? Are you a fan of UK made products?

T - Feeling grown up.

Nike Pink Silver Foil Blazer's

Thursday 22 January 2015

Oh look at me! I'm such a show. I've gone from hardly ever wearing trainers to wearing Nike trainers ALL the time. I don't think many people would've pegged me for the pink trainer type, but I love to mix it up and keep people guessing. Today's look is pinkalicious, I remember being a bit unsure about this coat last year but I absolutely love it now. I know it's not Wednesday but...

I still can't get enough of my Mi Moneda jewellery. I purchased this beautiful and natural looking coin about a year ago, I think it was really cheap at the time but it's one of my new favourites. Fraser Hart have some incredible new Mi Moneda bits in at the moment, I've wasted way too much time drooling all over their selection. Dreamy, right?

I went to watch Birdman at the cinema last night. It's been really hyped up and it starts off slow but I started to enjoy it a lot more towards the end! Overall I rather liked it and it's beautifully shot... I definitely recommend giving it a go! It's a bit weird and a different kind of funny. Definitely a black comedy.

Do you dare to wear pink? Are you a sneakers person?

T - Forever a magpie.

My Qantas Airport Style! What To Wear On A Long Haul Flight.

Monday 19 January 2015

A few weeks back I was challenged by Qantas to create a 'flight outfit' for a trip to Melbourne. They're hosting an exciting blogger competition and giving one blogger the chance to win a pair of tickets to Melbourne to see the new Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria!

20 bloggers were provided with a £30 ASOS voucher and asked to come up with an outfit to wear on a long haul flight. I'm lucky enough to be able to say I've been on quite a few flights in my time, I love flying and after all these years of exploring the globe, I like to think I've got my flight style down.

Waterfall Camel Trench

Leopard Ankle Boots
Blouse: River Island - Trench Coat: Jovonnista at ASOS (c/o) - Jeans: Oasis - Necklace: Mi Moneda - Boots: Next - Bag: L.K. Bennett

Qantas is one of the nicest airlines in the world and I've absolutely loved flying with them in the past! If I were to win the trip to Australia, this is the outfit I'd wear. I've taken inspiration from my favourite celebrities who are always being papped at the airport.

I decided to opt for a loose wrap blouse which is perfect for a long flight, some leather look skinnies which can be easily wiped (I'm always spilling airport food) and a pair of statement ankle boots. I've kept my jewellery simple with a Mi Moneda necklace, watch and midi ring. My beautiful camel Jovonnista trench coat is lightweight and will easily fold up on arrival. I try to take the biggest hand luggage I can when I travel because my suitcase has been lost before, I fill it with a change of clothes, my makeup and all my valuables (including chargers)! This L.K. Bennett Rosamund bag is the perfect size for taking on a plane and still looks chic. Wouldn't you agree?

I also wear a hat every time I go somewhere hot, it's great for hiding hat hair and adds a touch of cool to any ensemble. My arrival look wouldn't be complete without some flip flops and sunglasses which I keep in my bag until I land on foreign soil. To me, the holiday starts on the plane! ;)

Follow The Style Rawr's board Rawr Airport Style on Pinterest.

I've made a Pinterest board of airport style inspiration to go along with my entry, including some looks from some of my fave celebs. If you check it out, please let me know which outfit is your favourite.

Would you wear this on a flight? What's your usual flight style?

T - Dreaming of jetting off!

The Office Wear Wishlist!

Dear Boring Worklife,

I have long since come to terms with the fact that I am never going to be a lady of leisure, and seeing as I somehow ended up with a BA in whocaresI'llneveruseitinreallifeanyway with Hons, I'm probably going to be shackled to an office desk until I'm (albeit a very Jessica Lange-like) 65. SO, what choice do I have my dear worklife, but to wrap you up in lots of pretty pieces of material that will help me get through this 9-5 trudgery? Luckily, there are lots of affordable opportunities on the high street to do this as the new season new ins are soooooooo good right now. To the wishlist!

blogger workwear wishlist

Dorothy Perkins Blue Half Placket Roll Sleeve Top £20 - Okay, so I went in Dotty P's today and they are literally killing it right now with the light blouse department. This cobalt blue looked beaut on the hanger, NEED.

Dorothy Perkins Black and White Colour Block Top £22 - I wasn't joking when I said they were killing it, and this monochrome lovely is a nice alternative to the plain black or white shirts.

Dorothy Perkins Cat Print 2 in 1 Shirt £24 - Office acceptable cat attire. That's all I have to say about that.

Dorothy Perkins Lime Rollsleeve Top £20 - Erm, yes okay, so it's the same as the blue one, but the acid green is sooooooo pretty against grey making it the perf office top for pairing with smarts.

Topshop Jacquard Animal Print Pelmet Skirt £35 - Technically not office wear, but where's the rule that says tops gets to have all the fun? This skirt would instantly perk up any smart blouse or sweater. DEALIO.

River Island Red Stripe Cigarette Pants £42 - Vertical stripes make your legs look longer. Pair these with nude stillies and you have pins for dayyyyyyyyyz!

New Look Camel Zip Front Pocket A-Line Skirt £17.99 - A nice update on a classic shape and colour.

H&M Grey Slacks £14.99 - I prefer grey over black and these are really flattering. Plus H&M call them 'slacks', which amuses me.

I hope you have found my presentation interesting and I hope to hear from you soon about that hefty payrise.

Best regards,

Jade (never knowingly underdressed)

Awwwoooo! I've been looking for the perfect wolf tee for a few years but struggled to find the one, until last week when I received the best gift ever...A Wildfox Wolf Tee! Eeeep. It's beautifully oversized and extremely soft. I couldn't wait to wear it at the weekend and even battled the wind to take snaps.

This is another of my super casual Sunday looks, featuring one of my best Unreal Fur purchases, some ripped jeans and a pair of ASH Bowie wedges. I think I need at least 3 more pairs of black distressed skinnies, I just can't get enough of these!

I still haven't visited any wedding venues as of yet but my wedding dress is now officially available to buy so I've started my healthy eating regime. Currently experiencing sugar withdrawal which is tough! Next step is to join a gym. ARGH.

Do you own any Wildfox? Would you wear this look? - T.

Metallic Accessories - Butterfly Twists Millie Pumps and New Look Unicorn Clutch!

Monday 12 January 2015

If you've got a pair of Butterfly Twists, you'll know how incredibly handy they are. I got my first pair about 2 years ago, a simple pair of brown ballet pumps, but they were a revelation! If you aren't familiar with the brand, they launched in 2009 with a range of fold away shoes designed to be carried in your bag or kept in the car for those times when oh my god, you just need to GET THESE HEELS OFF STAT! I took my first pair on a trip to London, not really intending to use them but erring on the side of caution, but I honestly think I had them on longer than the heels I was wearing for the event - godsends!

Anyhoo, I'm very aware that I've been absent for some time since before Christmas, but I'm now easing back in to blogging and I thought I'd start off with showing you my new pair of BT's - the Pewter Millie's (now in the sale for just £24!) and their new best friend in accessorising, the unicorn clutch that my BFF Stephy got me for Christmas :)

The Millie is a cool brogue style with beaut ribbon laces. It comes in silver, gold, black, and this gorgeous pewter colour and they are just brimming with metallic goodness! Look at the shine on these bad boys, they are actually reflecting the sunset on my toes! I also adore the studding, which is totally back in for footwear this season by the way, epic placement!

Shoes - c/o Butterfly Twists, Bag - New Look, Jeans (just seen) - ASOS.

Butterfly Twists Millie brogue shoes

The heel features the Butterfly Twists logo which is a nice touch. They are super comfy straight out of the pouch and are so lightweight on your feet you barely notice that you have them on, the perfect swap out for those party heels! I've had a good folding sesh with them and even though they are a slightly bulkier style compared to the original ballet pump styles they definitely still do their thing, though they won't fit in a super small bag. They're clever, but they're not shoes for ants.

Butterfly Twists Millie brogue shoes

They are really cute though, probably too cute to hide as an afterthought stand in for pesky high heels! Look how adorable they look paired with this fun bag from New Look? So much shiny goodness! For me, this style is more of a comfy everyday shoe for nipping the shop or popping to see a friend. I wouldn't like to recommend wearing them for walking around in all day because I'm not sure if the flexible sole is designed for that sort of pounding, but they certainly wouldn't come to any harm on a quick parent visit!

What do you think? Do you have a pair of Butterfly Twists, or are they something you think you could get into? If so, do check out their current sale, there are loads of styles starting at £7.50 including flip flops, the classic ballet pumps, brogues, moccasins, trainers and even boots, all rocking the super power of potential teeniness - yey party feet!

Women's Nike x Liberty Air Max 1 Shoes

Friday 9 January 2015

This morning I decided to wear my Nike Air Max 1's from their Liberty AW14 collaboration with some casual threads, including my new All Saints leather jacket. It was a birthday gift from my parents and I couldn't wait to take it for a test drive. Like a good pair of Dr. Martens, I think it needs to be worn in before it softens up. I was planning to take more Bristol street style snaps today but the annoying wind forced me to stay indoors. British blogger problems.

I wasn't sure about these rawrsome trainers until they arrived and my beau convinced me they were hella cool. They're my second pair of Nike Air's, fit true to size and are the comfiest sneakers ever. I think they work perfectly with this all black look...Would you agree?

This week I've started to declutter my wardrobe and I'm now only buying 'essential' wardrobe pieces. Josie has encouraged me to think about adopting a French wardrobe and Steph has inspired me to buy quality over quantity. I don't think I'll ever stop buying new leather jackets and boho maxi dresses, but I am hoping to buy less fast fashion!

Are you a fan of Nike's? Do you have any style resolutions for 2015?

Kopparberg x Leutton Postle Designer Christmas Jumper!

Wednesday 7 January 2015

On Christmas Eve I received a package containing the coolest designer Christmas jumper ever! 'The Kopparberg' is a limited edition Xmas jumper by luxury knitwear label Leutton Postle. I'm not a fan of cheesy knitwear so this was the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit without compromising my style.

I love Swedish cider brand Kopparberg anyway but was really impressed by their stylish collaboration. This bespoke winter knit embodies the warm and festive Spiced Apple cider and I love the colour combination. Leutton Postle have a celeb following including Lady Gaga, who also owns this jumper...Uhhh, amazing or what? It's definitely an investment piece (it's currently half price) but I know I'll be wearing it for many Christmases to come.

Although I wore it all over the Christmas period, I decided to whip it out again at the weekend, pairing it with my Unreal Fur Fire and Ice Jacket - another of my sale bargains. Jade and I both managed to snag this coat in the online Next sale, it's since sold out (in minutes) but it's still in stock and on sale at The Dressing Room. It's so soft and beautiful! Speaking of beautiful, I couldn't resist including this cheeky Christmas Day snap of my beautiful niece and I...

...Isn't she an absolute cutie pie!? A stylish little Rawrer in the making, she was rocking a classic stripe and dungaree dress look. So very nautical.

Are you a fan of the Christmas jumper? Have you heard of London-based Leutton Postle?

Happy birthday to me! Today I officially turned twenty-something and to celebrate, today's outfit post features this incredible Sophia Champagne Lace Dress from The Pretty Dress Company. Handmade in the UK, this exquisite long sleeved lace dress is the frock of my dreams. It's elegant, feminine and has a beautiful shape!

I couldn't wait to prance around in this baby, it's the perfect dress for special occasions and is oh so glamorous. I felt like a Hollywood starlet while strolling around the Bristol docks.

The fit is just perfect, this is the size 8 and it's like it was made for me. The lace looks and feels expensive... I'd say it's pretty obvious this dress isn't something I picked up from the high street! It really is special. I think I'll also wear it for my niece's christening in the Summer but it's the kind of piece I'll be able to wear again and again, it's so classic and timeless. I'd LOVE the black version too and I wish you could buy it in bottle green...Can you imagine? It's also available in white but I think I'm a little pale for that one.

The Pretty Dress Company has a vast range of lovely dresses and has even been spotted on numerous celebrities! I definitely want to support British brands more this year, I need less throw away fashion in my wardrobe and more quality pieces which will last years.
