RUSH Hair Salon opens in Bristol!

A few weeks ago I made my way to the brand new RUSH salon in Bristol. I've been looking for a new local hairdressers for quite some time, I did use a popular salon chain until my stylist of over 5 years left & I wanted to find somewhere new! Like most women with long hair, I'm quite protective of my locks. I've never dyed them and I try to take care of my mane as much as I can, so when I get a hair cut, I tend to just get the ends chopped off to maintain it.

Upon arrival at RUSH, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist and asked to take a seat. I was then introduced to my stylist, Laura. Laura asked what I was looking to have done and I explained I'm still trying to grow my fringe out for my wedding next year and just wanted everything neatened up.

Laura was absolutely incredible and we just seemed to click. We talked about wedding planning, life and general haircut chit chat, which I adore! I felt completely at ease and confident she was refreshing my locks into something wonderful.

I explained I was hoping to have big wavy curls on my wedding day so after she cut my hair, she created a fantastic wavy 'do' with the help of a few magic hair products and some GHD's. I explained how I'd never been able to get the knack of curling hair with straighteners, so she very kindly showed me how to do it! One thing I know for sure is that I'm definitely going to try and recreate this look again.

Once we were all finished, I immediately made another appointment for 6 weeks later. I want to keep my hair looking good ahead of the big day and Laura has promised we'll try a different wavy hairdo next time round.

If you're looking for an incredible, unpretentious hair salon in Bristol, then RUSH is the place to go! It's also one of the only salons to open late which is why I booked an after work appointment next time. The opening hours are from 09:00 - 20:00 Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 18:30 on Saturday and 10:00 - 17:00 on Sunday.

UPDATE: May 2017 - On the off chance someone new discovers this post, I'm sad to say I no longer recommend this hair salon. Two years is a long time - most of the team has now changed and the hairdresser mentioned in this post has moved on. I've had a few haircuts since with different stylists, but it's no longer somewhere I recommend and won't be returning.
