Ted & Muffy Bath Blogger Event

Wednesday 14 October 2015

Last week I headed to the Ted & Muffy Bath Blogger event! You may have spotted Ted&Muffy popping up across the blogosphere recently, the brand is a reinvented version of DUO and boy is it impressive. This new venture has a much cooler, more stylish vibe and was created by the original designers (called Ted & Muffy - yes they are real people) who wanted to maintain the high quality of the DUO brand, but give it a bit more of an edge.

Their new autumn/winter collection is apparently just a taster of what's to come, it's crammed with both bold new styles and classic footwear, in a bid to attract a more fashionable shopper but still keep their loyal customer base happy. We were invited to check out the new store which is still in the same location as DUO, it's just been completely revamped with a whole new look.

I always love hanging out with fellow local Bristol & Bath bloggers and it was good to catch up with the team behind the brand - the PR girls are so stylish and friendly. We were treated to nibbles & fizz while we got to socialise and drool over the new range.

We were then given the chance to try on as many pairs of shoes/boots as we wanted which were expertly fitted to us by the knowledgeable fairytale fitters. Each shoe not only comes in a different size, they have different widths and if applicable, different calf sizes. Genius. I naturally gravitated to the boldest pair in the room, an over the knee pair of heeled black lace up boots called Freia. Apparently I look like a Freia girl because 3 separate fairytale fitters told me they knew I'd go for them... I do like fierce.

My fitter was called Anna and she was incredible. She really knew her stuff and helped me discover my perfect size, she actually made trying on shoes feel like a dream because she was so helpful and attentive. In the end I sized up in the Freia boots, the pair I'm wearing above have a 37" calf size but I had to order the 35" which fits me perfectly. I also had fun prancing around the shop in them - I can't wait to style them in some blog posts!

My overall verdict? I'm 100% team Ted and Muffy. I've heard incredible things about next season (one word, GLITTER) but I also adore this current collection. Not just because it's leather and leopard print heavy. T&M focus on creating beautifully made shoes that don't only look great, but feel fantastic on and most importantly, will last.

Have you heard of Ted & Muffy? Are you a fan of over the knee boots?
