Living With Achica

One of the best things about being a full grown adult is having your own home to decorate and frost to your own taste. When Tim and I did our master bedroom I chose a monochrome stripe feature wall with plain gold to the rest, complimented with dark furniture and luxe accents like an ornate mirror and velvet swag curtains. It looks the business, but I was missing that special something for the last wall, and I found the perfect piece on Achica, the members only online lifestyle store that I'm pretty much addicted to!

This shelf was £59, but it should be around £90, and to be honest with you if I would've found it at that price in any high street homeware store then I would've snapped it up in a jiffy because it was exactly what I had in mind to complete the look. Doesn't it look amaze? I love the quirky, monochrome shape and it looks fab against the matte gold paper behind it. I apologise for the lighting issues, it's difficult to photograph with the window throwing so many light effects at the wall but it can't be helped because walls are pretty static and all that ;)

If you're not familiar with Achica, you should be. Don't be put off by the members only thing, it's literally just a case of registering an account and you're away. There are new pieces on there every day at great prices, from jewellery and handbags through to furniture, art and gardening. I can spend hours on there just browsing and it's too tempting to spend a fortune so I set myself a £30-£50 limit and make sure I research what I want online to make sure it's really a must have item at the best price before I buy! I must mention that delivery can take a while so make sure you are fully aware of the dates stated before you buy, however on the few occasions where I have wanted to cancel an order because I can't wait, the customer service has been top notch so no worries there.

Make sure to check the upcoming promotions so you can maximise that delivery charge and any discount codes you might have (they send them out often so sign up for the newsletter), and you're away. I should probably apologise now . . . .
