AW15 Hair Trend - Get Undone Volume With John Frieda Luxurious Volume!

Wednesday 9 September 2015

So as you may have noticed, I am currently rocking A LOT of hair. For the majority of the time it's all my own, as I'm in the process of growing it out to an unlayered waist length so that there will be plenty of it to do something fabulous with when I get my bridal glam on next September.

One of my fave AW15 hair trends is the undone voluminous look, as seen in the Matthew Williamson, Peter Costelloe, Burberry and Topshop Unique shows, so I'm taking full advantage of my Rapunzel locks while I have them. Basically, you want a gorgeous Gigi Hadid root boost, but with a Kate Moss kick at the ends. At MW, the models had a 60's inspired parted bouffant look (a style I'm toying with for my bridal hair actually!), Peter Costelloe took on an edgy vibe, Burberry kept it very touchable and glossy whilst Topshop Unique worked a totally do-able scrunched side part. There are so many ways to wear the look but with all this weight I'm finding it difficult to keep it bouncy up there without backcombing and freezing it to death with hairspray, and that's not undone at all. The answer? The new John Frieda Luxurious Volume range . . .

John Frieda Luxurious Volume review

The 7 Day Volume Touchable Full shampoo and conditioner are an amazing base for creating a naturally voluminous look, they work together to both amplify and smooth out follicles so hair looks and feels, well, touchably full! It's the 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment that's the star of the show for me though. One 5 minute treatment lasts for up to 3 washes, and it really does work to the point where I'm even skipping the volume boosting styling products altogether and going straight in for a rough blowdry. As long as you dry the roots properly, you can do anything to the ends and still get the fullness needed for some new season hair. I rough dry my whole head (seriously, I don't even blow it out properly), then twist the length into a bun for a while when I'm getting dressed. When I let it out, I have full, voluminous roots with a cool, undone kink to the length. Ugh, I'm so Topshop Unique it hurts!

Here are some more on trend hair ideas that I'm loving right now, and they don't look too difficult to achieve right? All of these styles are taken from the John Frieda Lookbook, some with how-to instructional vids . . .
