My favourite beauty product of all time is concealer. I'll happily leave the house without any other makeup on, but concealer is a necessity for me which is why I like to try A LOT of different ones. I've tried expensive ones, really affordable ones, and everything in between. A few months ago I started using Soap & Glory's Kick Ass concealer crayon. Believe it or not, I've never tried a crayon concealer before so I was eager to give this one a whirl and at only £6, it's pretty darn cheap. I own a fair few S&G skincare products but this was my first time trying an item from their makeup range!
Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer: (c/o)
I like to take my time with beauty reviews, I'll never just write a first impression post because I want to use a product for a considerable amount of time, so I'm able to provide an accurate review. I've used this concealer, on and off, for over a month now, so I'm ready to report back! It has a nice creamy consistency and isn't drying. I like the shape of the crayon as it allows me to cover my dark circles with ease. The packaging is simple and the crayon is a good size. I have a naturally fair complexion and 'Light' is the perfect shade for me, it doesn't have an offence orange or yellow tint to it, it's just right.
I do struggle with dark under eyes so as lovely as this product is, I find it doesn't provide enough coverage for me... even though the application is a dream. If you like light concealers like YSL Touché Éclat but want a more affordable version, I definitely recommend this. If you're like me and require something a bit more heavy duty (such as Benefit's Boi-ing), this probably won't be enough for you. Or you might need to double up on your concealer.
At only £6, it's a great little product providing light coverage and is surprisingly long-lasting. I know so many other people who adore Kick Ass and although I'm still a fan, I need something with a bit more POW! I think it could be a bit more kick ass or maybe they just need to introduce a Kick Ass 2. A-hem.
Are you a fan of Soap & Glory? Have you tried this concealer?
T - Wants more crayon concealers!
I've tried S&G eyeliner and mascara, and thought it was excellent especially as they are mostly a bath product kinda company.... so I would definitely give this a go! It sounds like a great concealer xx

I'm surprised it's not drying as most crayon concealers are, I might have to give this one a go. Thanks babes x

It's so great you really take your time getting to know a product before reviewing it. I've never tried any Soap & Glory products, but I've heard a lot of people say they like them. I suffer from dark under eyes too though! xxx
ReplyDeleteI really like this concealer, but I just wish it wasn't so very yellow and that it had a little more coverage! It's such a bargain though xx

I really like the packaging of this, it's very cute and handy-looking! I need quite a bit of coverage too but it still sounds like a lovely product! xxx
ReplyDeletenice review thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was living in London, I tried few of the Soap and Glory cosmetics as I always loved the vintage style the have, even though they are cheap, some of them were surprisingly really good products!!
One of things i missed the most about England is the Boots store shopping, and spending hours looking through the new cosmetics and brands they have!!
I never tried this concealer, even though I don't have a huge problem with dark circles under my eyes, I feel more comfortable with a good coverage.
I love the look of this but like you I think I need a bit more coverage! x

This sounds fab! I actually haven't tried any cosmetics from S&G yet so definitely need to! I've used the YSL concealer and loved this but it is pricey and this sounds perfect and I like how it's a creamy formula xx

Gerat to hear that you take the time to do reviews. I'm always really skeptical of people who open the package and deem it a good product. I'm almost out of my current concealer, so maybe I'll try to find this on Amazon!
