Last Tuesday, along with a handful of other bloggers, I attended a special Bristol Fashion Week S/S 2015 preview event. We all met at Café Rouge for some nibbles from their new menu and every blogger's favourite, champagne! We were given lots of juicy info about Bristol Fashion Week, which runs from 25th-29th March at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway (buy your tickets here). This year the show will be hosted by Mark Heyes and the beautiful Lucy Watson from Made in Chelsea! I try to attend every season because it's full of style inspiration and I always enjoy it.
I was selected by the Oasis Cribbs store to style an outfit from one of the upcoming trends for this Spring/Summer '15, which will be showcased on the catwalk later this week and are currently on sale by various retailers at The Mall. The trends include; Mono Magic, Seventies Chic, Safari Styling, Life in Colour, Bold Blooms, Bewitching Denims, The New Pastels and Making a Mesh!
Cami and Jeans: Oasis
We were met by Charlotte, the Oasis My Personal Stylist. She treated us to even more nibbles and fizz, and had pre-selected a rail of new items she thought we might like. She was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I like shopping with a friend so I have someone to bounce ideas off of, Charlotte was full of style advice and made the whole experience really enjoyable. She probably checked the stockroom about 4 times for me, stripped a mannequin for a size and was genuinely happy to help.
I had lots of fun playing dress up in the luxe Oasis fitting rooms with the wonderful Jo and Victoria of She and Hem (blogging duos for life) and the gorgeous Megan of The Briar Rose. Jo, Megan and I were naturally drawn to the monochrome bloom print, so couldn't resist posing for a quick snap.
In the end I opted for a floral crop tee (tied at the back and tucked under for a better fit) and these incredible wide leg trousers, styled with a camel duster jacket. I absolutely love my chosen outfit which I'd say is a Mono Magic, Seventies Chic and Bold Blooms fusion! I also think the other girls look super stylish in their chosen looks, wouldn't you agree?
There will be 17 catwalk shows this Bristol Fashion Week and if you've never been before, you're missing out! I know a lot of bloggers travel to London for LFWend (myself included), but BFW is considerably better and great value for money. Tickets are extremely affordable, they range from £8.95 - £13.95 and include a goodie bag and nibbles. The shows are also at various times throughout the day and evening so work doesn't need to get in the way.
Huge thanks to The Mall, Café Rouge and Oasis for a fun evening! I'm now looking forward to the VIP catwalk show on the 25th. The theme is 'red carpet glamour' and there may even be some VIP guests attending... What to wear!?
Are you going to Bristol Fashion Week? Which SS15 trend are you most excited about?
