Swarovski Stardust Collection and Karen Millen Perforated Clutch!

Today I'm featuring another one of those *quick, I have 30 seconds to get dressed* outfits. I was recently send a bundle of treats from the sparkliest jewellery company of them all, Swarovski. They've just launched their brand new Stardust collection and I couldn't wait to rock my beautiful new Stardust pink double bracelet. Lo and behold...

I wish I had an entire jewellery cupboard full of Swarovski! I'm really hoping Santa will bring me a few different colours in this style because the way it catches the light is just magical. If you're looking to buy someone special a beautiful gift, you can't go wrong with one of these beauties.

Oversized check scarves are becoming an everyday accessory for me, this pretty one from Oasis makes a nice change from the Zara scarves every girl on the planet wears. My unusual perforated clutch is by Karen Millen - I think it's a really cool piece and slightly Sports Lux...Am I right!?

Are you a fan of sparkly jewellery? Do you shop at Swarovski?

T - What do stars do? They shine.

AW14 Bexley Barbour Boots at Shoetique!

Tuesday 28 October 2014

On Sunday I went for a stroll around Bristol. I love this city in the Autumn, there's just something special about its fallen crunchy leaves and fresh, crisp air. So I've started to pull my fringe back because it's just annoying me, my poor eyebrows have been neglected for over a year so please excuse them! Gah!

Ankle boots are a must-have for this time of year, I was recently sent these rather stylish Bexley Barbour boots from Shoetique and I couldn't wait to take them for a walk. I don't own any other Barbour shoes but these fit true to size and are extremely comfortable. I love the tartan print lining and outer quilted detailing, there's just something rather British about them...Wouldn't you agree?

I definitely believe in investing in decent footwear which will last, I know I'll be able to keep these for years to come. I threw this hella casual outfit on in less than 30 seconds - I always find outfits work better when I don't plan them. I still adore this IL2L dip dye leather jacket, if I didn't have a wedding to pay for I would certainly snap up the black/white version. My jeans are a few years old are by Charley 5.0 (we miss this brand on a daily basis) but Jade, Halle Berry & I love them.

Do you own anything from Barbour? Which pair of boots is your favourite?

Bath Fitting Room - #DuoBootTribe Blogger Event!

Monday 27 October 2014

One of the many perks of being a Bristol fashion blogger, is that I get to attend local blog events and hang out with some of my favourite south west bloggers! A few weeks back I hopped on a train and headed to the #DuoBootTribe event, held at DUO's Bath fitting room

I visited DUO earlier in the year during the Bath in Fashion blogger preview, where I remember drooling over their SS14 footwear. I was excited to head back to the store and discover which boot tribe I belonged to! I had a sneaky suspicion which camp I'd fall into, but had fun browsing their latest AW14 styles while I socialised and sipped on some bubbles. Tasty.

Every DUO shoe is available in 3 different widths which is pretty incredible! I had no idea which width I needed but the extremely helpful DUO girls sized me up and we discovered I needed a narrow boot. In the end I opted for these rawrsome Morton Biker Boots. Perhaps I could've went for something a bit more adventurous but I wanted to pick a style I could wear every day... The Morton boots are so me!

At the end of the night (rather unsurprisingly), the ankle boot was crowned the most popular style with a whooping 60% of us joining the ankle boot tribe. I guess most of us are just Alexa Chung wannabes. ;)

During the night I had a good ole chat with some of my favourite blogger babes, including Megan of The Briar Rose, SJ of Ship-Shape and Bristol Fashion and the always lovely Lorna of Raindrops of Sapphire (pictured above).

Huge thanks to DUO and Octane PR for inviting me, I had an absolute blast and I can't wait to feature my new boots in an outfit post!

Do you own any DUO boots? Which boot tribe do you belong to?

T - Biker babe.

Von Scharfenberg and Lady Vintage Damask Dress!

Friday 24 October 2014

After *briefly* being without a photo editing software, I am back in action! A few weekends ago I wore this gorgeous 50's style frock from Lady Vintage. I'd definitely describe my personal style as eclectic... One day I'll wake up wanting to dress like Kate Middleton, and the next I'm channelling my inner Vanessa Hudgens.

I felt extremely fun and feminine in this little number, mostly thanks to my beautiful new accessories. I'm constantly getting distracted by my engagement ring, it's so sparkly! The other ring making me happy at the moment is this Art Deco Marcasite and Onyx Ring from fine jewellery experts, Von Scharfenberg.

I have a bit of a thing for Art Deco style pieces, they make me think of the Great Gatsby film (my second fave film of 2013, after Walter Mitty) which I adore. I'm genuinely crazy about the entire Vintage Marcasite collection, if you want to buy someone an incredible Christmas gift, check out the Von Scharfenberg website. The prices are really reasonable for such wonderful pieces! They even stock my favourite watch brand, Olivia Burton. NOM.

I don't own many vintage-esque dresses but I should probably invest in more because they have such a flattering cut! This Damask Swing Dress is a size 8 and fits like a dream. I'd say it runs on the small side because it fits me like a glove and I usually have room up top in a size 8 dress.

Are you a fan of Art Deco jewellery pieces? Do you own any 50's style dresses?

T - Channelling Audrey Hepburn.

#OOTD - Madam Rage Jumper Dress!

Sound the cold weather klaxon, here come the knitted dresses! My newest one is this beaut Madam Rage Grey Longline Jumper, priced at just £28, which I'm wearing rather racily as a dress teamed with the best trend continuation from last year, the over knee boots. To the outfit! . . .

Outfit: Jumper dress - c/o Madam Rage, Leather Jacket - Pull & Bear, Scarf - Becksondergaard, Boots - Betty Jackson at Debenhams, Bag - Grafea.

I LOVE this dress. It's a slinky fine knit, feeling more like a yummy brushed cotton, and the colours are amazing. This was my first outing in it, but literally 2 days later I had it on again for work and I got so many compliments from peeps who are so used to me wearing boring old black trousers! There's a visible zipper on the back which is a nice little touch, and the sleeves are full length. This is a size 12 and I'd say it was true to size, if not a little generous to be honest which is always a good thing when you can teeter on 12-14 at times!

As soon as I saw the vibrant teal and orange in the leopard print I knew that it was begging to be paired with my fave bold Becksondergaard scarf and neon Grafea bag. These are two colours that I wouldn't normally put together but they work so well?! Hurrah!

I do enjoy cold weather dressing. Layering up like this is my fashion life, and it always helps to not be sweltering with super thick knits under your leathers and scarves, so fine knits like this dress are perfect for batting around in the winter :)

How are you finding the transition into AW14?

J - Never enough leopard.

In The Box - Muru Talisman Diamond Swallow Gold Vermeil Necklace!

Monday 20 October 2014

So you may have seen that we were rather generously gifted by Muru last week, with Tara wearing the Muru Talisman Rose Gold Feather Necklace in her outfit post, but I thought I'd do a boxed post with my Muru Talisman Gold Vermeil Diamond Swallow Necklace (£70) seeing as Christmas is looming and it might be an idea to check out how bits are actually boxed for gifting purposes?

The white box with regal purple plush inner looks classy and a bit swish, perfect for gift giving, but the contents are the star! You get a sweet little message card, detailing the meaning of your chosen Talisman. The Swallow is the Talisman for Freedom, recognised for it's swiftness of flight and free spirit. Totz me. I was always regarded as a key player in the 400m relay.

Muru Talisman Swallow necklace

Isn't she a beauty? Delicate but solid. I chose classic yellow gold because I've been heavily investing in rose gold lately, and I rarely wear silver, so this was my swallow of choice.

Muru Talisman Swallow necklace

I think anyone would be over the moon opening a Muru piece, especially if you were able to match the Talisman to something that was special to them. Are they looking for love? Try a bow, heart or hummingbird. Are they feeling down lately? Try a feather or acorn. Are they about to embark on an adventure? Maybe gift them with an elephant or anchor. There really is something for everyone, with prices starting at just £28 for earrings. Check out the Muru Talisman Lookbook and get inspired :)

What I Love About Autumn Tag!

Saturday 18 October 2014

I saw this on the lovely Temporary Secretary blog and had to have a go because I'm much more of an AW girl than SS, and with that, here we go!

What's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?
Okay, now you're not allowed to laugh, but I never go in these places! I just don't, I know, I'm bizarre. BUT, last Christmas I ventured into one of them (can't remember which) and had a mint hot chocolate which was crazy delightful - ta daaaaa!

What accessories do you opt for, scarf, gloves etc?
Well I think I speak for both of us when I say that we wear boots all year round, but when the temperature drops, the SpiritHoods come out BIG TIME :)

What's your favourite music to listen to during autumn?
I like a bit of easy listening by the light of a crackling fire.
And Iggy Azalea.

What's your favourite perfume at this time of year?
I tend to wear the same ones all year round to be honest, but I'm loving Viktor and Rolf's Spicebomb on my man.

What candle scents will you be burning this season?
I've just got Flamingo Candles Cinnamon Apple Berry so that's top of my list right now because I love the spicy, fruity, cookie-esque scents at this time of year.

What do you love most about autumn?
The cool air combined with the crunchy orange and red leaves. Let's just pretend that the rain doesn't happen . . .

Favourite make up look?
Embracing my naturally pale skin and upping it's game with a strong blush for that flushed, windswept look!

What are you looking forward to most in autumn?
Getting the leathers and faux furs out and layering! Layering is basically my fashion life.
Outside of fashion I love getting my Christmas gifting in order, I'm an early starter because I just adore the whole process!

Who else is a cold weather fan? Let us know if you decide to do the tag after seeing this!

J - Falling for fall!

#OOTD Nike Lunar Force 1 Sky Hi trainers at JD Sports!

Thursday 16 October 2014

Lucky old me was recently invited to choose a pair of Nike trainers from JD Sports, so with my arm twisted behind my back I was forced to peruse their mahoosive range and make my selection. Anyhoo, it wasn't long before I spotted the Nike Lunar Force 1 Sky Hi (£110) in all their pearlescent wedgey splendour and poof, there they were on my feet - ta daaaaa!

Outfit: Jacket - Pull & Bear, Top - F21, Trousers - Zoe Karssen, Shoes - Nike c/o JD Sports.

And boy are they beauties! Look at these things, it's like a fairy designed them for a unicorn! Iridescent pink uppers surrounded by crisp white accents on an air cushioned wedge sole?! Waahhhh! I literally pulled the RPattz WTF face for the whole unboxing.

Nike Lunar Force 1 Sky Hi trainers

The Nike Air sole means that they're insanely comfy despite the 2.5 inch wedge heel, bouncy even! I had a pair of Nike Air Max and they were my fave trainers ever, these have just taken their place because they're too awesome :)

Nike Lunar Force 1 Sky Hi trainers

The leather upper is just ridiculously pretty, I can't stop looking at them! The colour lends itself perfectly to my fave grey and black outfits like this one, it's neutral without being beige or white and adds a bit of flare. Shiny, mystical flare.

Do you love them? They also come in black, but really, why would you want black when you can have sheeny shiny pink unicorn fairy tra la laaaa goodness?! *skips off holding hands with a baby dragon to our rainbow cloud home* :)

Big thanks to JD Sports. King of Trainers indeed.

The Watch Hut Review: Kate Spade Metro Watch

Wednesday 15 October 2014

There's just something so simplistic and chic about an all black outfit. I definitely want to start mixing textures this Autumn/Winter to create more interesting monochrome looks. This faux leather pencil skirt is something I bought on a whim but I wear it all the time! I'd certainly love a real leather version.

The Watch Hut Blog Review
Oasis Pippa Faux Leather Skirt
Kate Spade Metro Watch ReviewTee: Banana Republic - Skirt: Oasis - Necklace: Accessorize - Boots: Clarks - Kate Spade Watch: c/o The Watch Hut

The Watch Hut recently sent me this gorgeous watch to review and I wore it every day last week! They have an epic range of Kate Spade watches, I've always been a fan of classic Kate Spade bags so I was chuffed when this equally stylish watch arrived. I definitely prefer leather watch straps because they don't scratch and are lightweight - perfect for everyday use. This Metro watch features a beautiful mother of pearl face so it would work well both casually, and as an evening timepiece.

My fringe is getting to an annoying length but I've decided to grow it out for the wedding! If you've ever grown out a fringe you'll know it's a slow and painful process but it must be done. *SIGH*

Have you ever purchased anything from The Watch Hut?

T - Always tardy. x

Muru Jewellery and Clarks Hamble Oak Tan Brogues!

Monday 13 October 2014

I'm baaaaack! If you follow us via Instagram, you'll probably know that I got engaged last weekend - huzzah! I've spent the past week thinking about wedding dresses and venues (as well as recovering from a yucky allergic reaction), which is why I took a week off from blogging.

It was freezing at the weekend so I've finally started wearing knitwear again. This jumper is an oldie but a goodie and is the cosiest pullover I own - I love how thick and oversized it is! I have a thing for anything feather-related so I'm also wearing this beautiful rose gold talisman necklace from Muru.

Muru have an awesome selection of pretty jewels which are great for layering, they've even been seen on numerous celebs including Zooey Deschanel and Laura Whitmore! I love my little pendant, I'd quite like it in the silver and gold too. *SANTA I HOPE YOU'RE MAKING NOTES*

Last week was a week full of good post as I also received these rawrsome Clarks hamble oak brogues from Jones Bootmaker. If you're a regular reader, you may already know about my brogues obsession... Well, my latest pair is the most comfortable pair yet! Jones Bootmaker have been around for more than 150 years and stock a wide range of quality footwear and accessories by a whole bunch of brands as well as their own inhouse label. I was instantly drawn to their selection of Clarks footwear and couldn't resist this gorgeous tan pair.

I'd say Clarks shoes run half a size large and these ones have a cushioned sole giving me a spring in my step! Delivery was fast and their customer service is fantastic. I'd definitely recommend them.

Have you heard of Muru? Do you own any brogues?

Red Cherry Lashes Style #43 from FalseEyelashes.co.uk!

Wednesday 8 October 2014

I used to wear false eyelashes every single day. I know right? Not lash extensions either, actual glue on falsies. Crazy. Anyhoo, these days I tend to only wear them for a night out but falseeyelashes.co.uk sent me an awesome care package for reviews and I spotted the lovely Red Cherry Style #43 so I set to trying them for daytime use, seeing as they are so darn fluffy and beaut!

They're normally a teeny £2.99 and are handcrafted from real human hair, so they're super soft and lightweight. You don't get glue, but to be honest I have loads of that stuff kicking about all over the place from other lashes so hey ho. I love the natural look they give, despite being really long, they still manage to blend with my own lashes and really open up the eye - ta daaaaaaa!

Red Cherry False Eyelash Review

I fluttered my way through the morning and driving to Chester for a spot of shopping, Timmy turned to me and said I looked pretty today - RESULT ;) They stayed on until bed time and cleaned up easily to be stored for another day's use.

Prep yourself for more on the eye false lash reviews (if you've been reading a while you may recall that I do love to play with these things!) because there's a few more where these came from, and the party season is looming after all!

FalseEyelashes.co.uk stock over 300 styles of lashes and lash accessories including Ardell, Red Cherry, Eylure, Revlon, DUO, Eye Candy and Total Minks, and ship free to the UK - hurrah!

J - FLUTTER.
