Rainbow Club Bespoke Shoes with The Colour Studio! #MixMatchMake

Friday 7 November 2014

On Tuesday I attended THE blog event of the year, hosted by bridal shoe company, Rainbow Club. This event was specifically for Bristol bloggers and as most blog events are held in London, it felt even more special.

It was held at The Square Bar in Clifton (which is a pretty swanky joint) and upon arrival we were all greeted by the lovely Octane PR girls who explained what we would be doing that evening! We headed to the outdoor terrace where there was a long table covered in 'naked' shoes and important crafting supplies. We were asked to select a naked shoe and the colour we'd like to dye it ourselves (WAH). The girls, rather expertly, mixed our chosen dyes using their special Colour Studio kit. They then provided us with a selection of decorations and we were challenged to create the most stylish shoe possible... within an hour!

We were treated to cocktails while we carefully dyed, glued and created our shoe masterpieces! Some shoes were better than others and sadly there weren't any studs so I ended up sticking to my Irish roots and going all green. I even added some 'go faster' glitter stripes... I think it's safe to say I'm not going to quit my job to become a top shoe designer. The heels were all judged and the lucky winner received a £100 Harvey Nichols voucher!

Thankfully the team at the Colour Studio provide a much more professional finish than we ever could and they'll happily dye the Rainbow Club wedding shoes any colour at all. If you want to match your shoes to a favourite flower - you can do! Although most people think of Rainbow Club purely as a bridal footwear brand, their styles are so classic they also make great occasion shoes.

We were each allowed to pick a pair we'd like to keep, so I'll be sure to feature my chosen (pale pink) heels in an upcoming outfit post. When it comes to my big day, I'll probably go for a mid-heel, round toe pair of shoes and get them colour matched to my bouquet!

T - Have you heard of Rainbow Club? Which colour would you go for?
