Jurlique Natural Skincare Herbal Recovery Review!

Thursday 7 August 2014

Just over a month ago, I was sent a box of beauty products from Australian natural beauty brand, Jurlique. I've really started to get into my skincare over the past year or so, and I'm always drawn to natural products and anything anti-ageing.

After using these products for the past 5 weeks, I can honestly say I'm impressed! Jurlique have received a lot of rave reviews from magazines and beauty bloggers and now I totally get it. I was sent 3 products to review, a serum, eye cream and night cream.

Jurlique Herbal Recovery Review
c/o Jurlique

Let it be known, 2014 is the year I became hooked on serums. I can't even remember my skincare routine before I used a serum twice a day! First impressions, the Herbal Recovery Serum smells delicious. I have some natural products which just smell like grass (pretty unpleasant) but this one has a lovely floral scent. The iridescent glass bottle has a handy pump and the packaging feels expensive. The serum itself has a silky texture and is light on the skin - not greasy in the slightest. This clinically proven antioxidant gel serum features Jurlique's proprietary active complex of over 18 botantical extracts, vitamins and essential fatty acids to combat the signs of ageing. It claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, increase skin elasticity and hydration and protect against the environment.

This is a beautiful product! After just days of using it, Jade emailed me to rant about much she loves it. It feels gentle on my skin and is extremely refreshing and hydrating. I'm not sure if I've noticed a difference in my fine lines but I leave that up to my eye cream anyway!

Jurlique Herbal Recovery Eye Cream

I should be called the eye cream queen because I love trying new ones! I'm definitely conscious of fine lines so I'm always looking for ways to reduce them. The Herbal Recovery Eye Cream has the same yummy floral scent but is thicker and more potent. It's supposed to firm, hydrate and brighten the skin around your eyes and similar to the serum, it's to be used morning and night.

I'd definitely say it's hydrating and it does provide luminosity, but I'm not convinced it's the best eye cream I've ever tried. I do really like it and I will continue to use it until it's finished, but I'm not sure it's *the one I've always been looking for* which is going to banish my fine lines. What I do like is that it's natural and contains botanicals and plant oils including Cucumber extract and Safflower Oleosomes (designed to improve skin firmness). If you want a natural eye cream which will fade dark circles and puffiness while gently hydrating your under eyes, this is for you.

Jurlique Herbal Recovery Night Cream

In true Rawrgirl fashion, I've saved the best 'til last. My skincare collection had been lacking was a good night cream until the Herbal Recovery Night Cream came into my life! My mum always taught me the importance of a decent skincare routine growing up and I know that moisturising is key to younger looking skin. I was really excited to try this product when it arrived and it didn't disappoint.

It's extremely nourishing and hydrating, the two qualities every girl wants from a night cream. It contains select vitamins and antioxidants to help improve the skin's natural defences and provides the appearance of healthy looking skin. I love how rich it is, it softens my skin overnight and I wake up looking *glowy*. It's not too heavy for my skin and doesn't clog my pores, it's the perfect combination. It even won a Beauty Bible Award!

Have you ever heard of Jurlique? Are you a fan of natural skincare?
