Festival Style: Part 1 - Dr Martens at Glastonbury!

Monday 14 July 2014

OH Glastonbury 2014, you are but a distant memory. On camping day 2 of the fun at Worthy Farm, I received the most awesome spotty package from Cloggs footwear. Thankfully a contact of mine nipped to my house and collected them for me so I could wear them over the weekend! Huzzah for living 45 minutes away!

Ankle boots are an essential (in my eyes) for Glasto, when the sun comes out the last thing you want to be wearing is tall wellies which trap your feet and make you feel gross. These epic drench Dr Martens boots are currently on sale, and I noticed lots of jealous/approving stares when I rocked them at the festival.

Kimono: Japonica London - Cami: Topshop - Shorts: New Look - Dr Martens via Cloggs (c/o) - Hat: Anthropologie - Necklace: Oasis

When you're at a festival you have limited wardrobe space, so I tried to pack basic pieces which I could style in several different ways when accessorised differently. Today's look is quite simple but effective. Wearing a statement necklace over a plain cami, some denim shorts, a kimono and a fedora was pretty much my signature look this year and last year... That being said, I had to switch my shorts for dresses and leggings when it started to pour down.

Cloggs Docs Spot Drench DMs

I spotted a lot of girls wearing the original Docs but I love all of mine too much to put them through the mud. These short wellies are specially designed not to let liquid in through the tongue and are also fleece-lined! I took my normal DMs size and would love to expand my drench boot range for next year.

Please check back tomorrow morning to see how I changed this look by switching up my jewelz, footwear and kimono!

Have you been to a music festival this Summer? Are you a fan of Dr. Martens boots?

  4. That kimono is beautiful Tara, so pretty and I love how it clashes with the Docs.
I love them, but I don't know if they work on me because I have such a small frame, I feel a bit like a clown.

  13. I just love how effortless this outfit is :) especially with the docs they look kick ass!! I have never owned a pair of Dr. Martens before as I don't think I could style them so well as they aren't really me :( but loads of my friends love them and have different styles and colours :) I have never seen this kind before however, they are so pretty for a more masculine shape/styled boot <3

  14. They are so cute, perfect for festivals! I love Docs, but they are so difficult to break in (or maybe my feet are just weird!). The fleece lining sounds very snuggly and lovely too - toasty feet! xxx
