Rawr Girls Review: Women's Nike Air Pegasus 30 Running Shoes!

Monday 14 April 2014

Most of the time I get dressed without thinking, I just throw on whatever I'm feeling in that moment. However, occasionally (when I have more time to spare), I ask myself one of two questions... What would Vanessa Hudgens wear? Or, What would Josie wear? Dressing like a boho princess isn't always weather appropriate in the UK, so today I like to think I'm channelling my inner Josie.

Sports Shoes With Everyday Outfits

Now Spring has finally sprung, I'm starting to think about eating healthier and getting fit for Summer. I've never been to a gym (going with school doesn't really count, right?) but I do like walking, hiking and on the odd occasion, going for a run! I was recently sent a pair of women's Nike Air Pegasus 30 running shoes from SportsShoes, to review and style in an everyday outfit. I believe feeling good about what you're wearing can help you feel good on the inside too. I don't think there's anything wrong with wearing makeup when you work out or wearing cute gym clothes while you get your exercise on.

My current running trainers do the job but they aren't bright and stylish like these ones, and although they're also cushioned, they don't feel anywhere near as magical on! I felt like I was walking on air while I was strutting around the harbourside in these, they're ultra lightweight and provide good ankle support. Wearing sports shoes with normal outfits has become a bit of a trend recently, I wasn't into it at all until I spotted these Nike Pegasus beauties. Nike shoes do tend to run a little small so I went up by half a size to get the perfect fit - they're my new trainer besties.

Rose Gold Origami Bunny Necklace
Origami Bunny Necklace: c/o Love Hearts and Crosses

Although I'm pretty sure Josie would wear a Mulberry bag with this outfit instead of my studded Dr. Martens satchel, I'm Mulbs-less and I do love this badass bag. My pretty rose gold origami bunny necklace is by Love Hearts and Crosses, who have a whole range dedicated to adorable origami jewellery! I first spotted this necklace on the lovely Jennie's blog back in January and thought it was uh-mazing. Conny's pieces are so affordable and make lovely gifts, I think this one looks a lot more expensive than it is. Do you like it?

Are you a fan of running shoes with everyday outfits? Are you fashionably fit?

  15. I like the trainers, it may have something to do with the colour (blue is my favourite).
I'm more of a boots girl myself, even on a beach I'd prefer boots over sandels.

  16. Wow! The colours on your Nike Air Pegasus running shoes are wonderful! Turquoise and fuchsia is one of my favourite complementary colour combinations for outfits. Though I've never tried Nike sneakers on (I've been wearing Converse) but maybe I should. they look light and comfortable. I hope you're careful around those railroad tracks. I was once startled b a fast approaching train on tracks I thought were abandoned and they can't stop easily either. Your rose gold Origami bunny necklace by Hearts and Crosses is cute and pretty!

  21. .L.A. meets U.K., such a cool look my girl! On the subject of wearing make;up to the gym, yeah no probs if it makes you feel good, but yesterday I was doing mat exercise at the gym, and I felt something light fall on me?
When I got up I realized it was the girl stood beside me's false eyelash......A great big thick mascara coated one!! So reckon fake lashes are not really gym attire! xx
