This March is #DenimDedication month at The Dressing Room. They devote a whole month to all things denim, focusing on some of the incredible premium denim brands they stock. Each week a different brand is in the spotlight and this week it's all about my favourite, Hudson Jeans!
If you're a regular reader you'll already know I'm a self-confessed denimaholic. I've tried several brands over the years but none (in my opinion) can top Hudson Jeans. I was sent a few pairs from the new SS14 range at The Dressing Room to style and review.
Sweater and Necklace: Wildfox - Shoes: Keds - Hudson Jeans @ The Dressing Room
The first pair I'm wearing is the brand new Bacara Crop Straight Leg Cuffed in Wanderlust (£265). I don't own any crops so I thought it would be nice to try something different. They're extremely soft to the touch and the denim has a nice stretch to it. The reverse pockets are bum lifting and therefore really flattering! I think Hudson Jeans are for girls with booty, I'm an 8 but my thighs and behind are bigger than the average girl my size so I often find jeans flatten my derrière instead of enhancing it.
The crop length also makes for a nice transitional piece, ideal for Spring and Autumn. It's always advisable to size down in their denim so I'm wearing a size 25 which fit perfectly. For those who think premium denim is too expensive, I can assure you it's worth the investment... I have Hudson jeans from 3/4 years ago which still look as good as new!
Shirt: H&M - Vest: Warehouse - Necklace: Regal Rose - Shoes: TK Maxx Hudson Jeans @ The Dressing Room
I decided to wear them with a vest, denim shirt and espadrilles for a Springalicious look. I can also imagine wearing them with sandals on an evening out while on holiday. Just staring at them cheers me up.
Although they aren't particularly summery, I like to wear black skinnies all year round and I don't think you can go wrong with these. All of the jeans featured are mid rise so they aren't too high but there's no chance of flashing anyone my underwear when I bend down. This style is designed to make you look taller and thinner, what do we think!? I know I feel good in them! I was allowed to keep my favourite pair so I picked these. Huzzah!

WONDERFUL! I've entered! Was in there today trying on jeans! Hudsons were my favourite!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the pink jeans on you! I would never think to buy jeans in such a bright colour but they look really fresh and summery. I had a pair of All Saints jeans last year but sadly the seam ripped! You wouldn't expect it from a pair of jeans costing over £70 :(
ReplyDeleteI love all the looks! Particularly, your jumper and jacket are amazing!!! x
ReplyDeleteI love the top look, it just looks so comfy! The jeans sound wonderful, especially as they're so soft, as this is a claim I find is often made online when I buy denim but which isn't always entirely true. The jumper looks really soft too. Cute!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a babe!!! Done all the mandatory. Whoop whoop!xx
